A/N: This is going to be horrible, I tell you.
Full Summary:
Tsurara is the top and most famous woman in the whole country. Known for being so gentle and a beauty worth for killing, she is a Caged bird in real truth, being actually sold off for every night by her own father. What happens when a Man suddenly enters her life, rescues her from her rapist of the night, and asks her if she wants to flee and see the outside world in exchange for her hand in marriage?
P.S.: Tsurara will be like, a Yohime Style in here. She's not a Yokai, Only Rikuo.
Caged Bird - Prologue
I looked up at the beautiful night sky as I silently prepared myself from what's going to happen tonight.
Sometimes, I just wanted to curse myself for having these features.
White, milky skin every girl in the country is jealous of.
Long silky hair everyone adores.
An absolute hour-glass figure every man lusts after, and every girl envies for.
And this pretty face every citizen loves and 'adores'.
I opened my drawers as I pulled a new set of clothes out.
With every inch of grace, I shook off my outfit out of my body, flinching at the sight of bruises embedded in small bits at my white milky neck. Ha, love bites they say.
My slender hands crept up my neck, grimacing at the pain it gave as I carefully touched those love bites with disgust and hatred evident at my eyes. I didn't want this. I never wanted this.
Tears sprung from my eyes as my knees finally gave up from all of the tension and stress I've gone through, as I put my hands over my face, crying everything out silently.
I didn't chose this life.
This life chose me.
I cried, and cried. And cried. Not until a knock has been heard in the other side my shoji doors.
Wiping immediately the tears away as I not-so-gracefully wore another set of kimono, clearing my throat from any sign of crying as I securely tied my clothes fit. I'm pretty sure this is-
"Oikawa."
father… wait what? This couldn't be father, is it? Tensing my guards up as I came into realization that I've never even heard of this voice before, I was about to scream when the voice – rather the seductive voice – spoke again.
"Are you… Oikawa Tsurara?" The husky voice spoke, and I scrunched up my eyebrows as I feel the man smiling through his words.
Confused on whether to answer not, in the end, I couldn't just contain my curiosity. "What do you want from me?" My eyes narrowing as I asked him so.
The voice chuckled sending me chills. The good kind of chills. Ugh, what am I thinking! Grab onto yourself, Tsurara! Musing all of my confidence, I carefully tiptoed nearer my quarters' door, trying to see the silhouette of the creature who dared come here.
Moving closer, shock registered my eyes for seeing such a tall man, broad shoulders, with one heck of a gravity-defying… hair? Is that even his hair? I narrowed my eyes in confusion, tilting my head as I did so.
"Like what you see?" And in the next second the shoji doors flung open, and replacing the wooden doors, there stood a black kimono clad man, smirking smugly at me, amusement clearly evident at his eyes.
And by then, red crimson eyes met my golden citrine ones.
I felt the blood rushing to my face rather faster than a sports car as I came to realize the not-so-big space between our faces.
"Its… hair!" I exclaimed, eyes wide. Two words. Two. Words. Out of all combinations, those two words were the ones that managed to come out from my mouth. Great Tsurara, just great.
His face grew into a shocked one, to an amused one. Is he mocking me?
"You're interesting." He chuckled as he cupped my jaws, closing in our spaces more. I trembled, thinking that an awful scene is yet to happen again.
I closed my eyes rather forcefully, awfully – or eagerly – waiting for his lips to land on mine, only to feel those soft cushions land between my eyebrows. My eyes sprung open in shock, rather feeling a little ashamed of myself in thinking that I judged this man too easily and compared him to those… other men.
"Eeek!" I squealed as my breath was momentarily knocked out from shock by having a rather rock hard body embrace my own's. I cant help but feel so little, his frame easily towering mine.
I looked up, meeting those entrancing crimson eyes, I opened my mouth to say something, but was cut off as I heard immediate footsteps coming towards this wing of our state.
"Tsurara! Tsurara!" Father's annoyed voice rung out through the mansion.
"Oh no! Father!" I panicked wiggling my body out of this stranger's warm embrace, only to have my efforts in vain.
"Please, please leave now! Father will sure punish both of us if he sees this!" I exclaimed as I put my hands at his almost bare chest, only to freeze out. Uh oh, wrong move.
His eyes darkened for a fraction, almost going black, and I was sure I wouldn't have noticed have I not been staring. A second or two passed without him doing anything as if savouring my touch, before finally leaning into my face, a smirk in his features.
"Nura." He paused, a hot smirk still at his face. "Nura Rikuo." He repeated, all the while disentangling himself away from me. And I cant help but to just notice the cold seep in through me, already missing the warmth the not-so-stranger-now gave me. Wait what? I must stop with this corrupting thoughts!
"Remember it, angel." He mused, breaking me out of my thoughts. "'cause I'll be coming back for you." He finished, before finally disappearing into thin air. Leaving with no trace of sorts. And that is when everything clicked in.
He's a yokai.
"Tsurara!" A rather annoying voice brought me out of my shock, I turned, seeing my father's annoyed eyes seeping through me with the coldness I already grown accustomed to.
"F-father..." I replied, still not in myself.
"What happened?" He walked closer as if he really cared. Psh.
"I-uh... There's a… a mouse..." I lied as droplets of sweats drop from my skin. I was never good in lying. And I just prayed to whoever is out there in the stars to let this go. Please kami-sama!
Father narrowed his eyes, before finally nodding, much to my luck. Thank you, kami-sama! "Okay then. Prepare yourself now! We'll be going out by the next hour!" He said, ice in his voice as he left and closed, or rather, banged the door close.
A frown started to creep up on my face again. My thoughts straying to the man who visited me just minutes ago.
Nura... Nura Rikuo...
"H-hai, father." I replied, out of reflex, even though he won't be able to hear it anyway.
Who are you?
I quietly asked out in the moonlit sky, completely oblivious to the pair of crimson orbs watching me afar.
