Suddenly, everything was calm. Olivia opened her eyes to find herself in a dimly lit room. Looking around, she realized that she was in Lyoko's scanner room. In one of the other scanners, Olivia looked and noticed Caleb had made it as well. She immediately went over to him.

"Caleb, wake up." Olivia said shaking him.

Caleb, blind and crippled, groaned a bit and finally moved as little as he could.

"What happened?" Caleb asked. "Is this the end? Is this the new world?"

"No, we're still alive." Olivia said.

"But how?" Caleb asked.

"I don't know." Olivia said. "The last thing I remember was that we fell through the portal and we were surrounded by a blinding light."

Olivia then realized.

"Hey, I get it now." Olivia said. "When we destroyed the core, we triggered a failsafe that sent us back to the original spawning zone. That's why we ended up in the scanners."

"So, we won?" Caleb asked. "We stopped XANA?"

"You stopped XANA." Olivia said. "Come on, let's get back to South Paris and get you healed up."

"Yes, let's." Caleb said as Olivia helped him up and they climbed their way out of the dark shaft.

Within a short time, they reached Lucky's inn where Caleb was given a few treatments and a bandage around the eyes. He even got himself a haircut, new clothes and groomed himself a bit. Stumbling a bit, Caleb and Olivia walked over to the Ile Seguin where they saw (heard in Caleb's case) the citizen's celebrating their victory. Waving flags on the ruins of the Artemis and shooting off firearms and other pyrotechnics. Olivia then turned and noticed several of the surviving North Parisian soldiers, including Redmond and Danny, being led into Caleb's underground killing floors. She didn't want to think of their fates; it was none of her concern now.

"Excuse me." A voice shouted. Caleb recognized it as the voice of his messenger boy and turned towards him.

"Oh…" The messenger boy said. "You're not Prince Caleb."

"I'm not. I'm sorry to say but your friend is dead. He gave everything to ensure that Will's armies wouldn't grow any stronger." Caleb said. "On the other hand, you proved us wrong, Marcus. You will make a fine successor."

"And what of my son?" He heard Lucky say. "How did he fare?"

Caleb just walked over and hugged Lucky.

"Your son was one of the finest, bravest men I ever had the honor of meeting." Caleb said. "He will be missed."

"I see." Lucky said morosely. "Let it be said that he didn't die in vain. I just wish I could've been there to see him."

Caleb said nothing. He and Olivia just scaled up the downed ship and sat on top of The Wall, gazing into the sunset.

"Why didn't you tell them the truth?" Olivia asked.

"About being still alive?" Caleb asked. "Because I've done enough for this city. If anything, the ones who fought the terrestrial battle deserve the real glory."

"Caleb?" They heard a voice say. Olivia turned and saw Theo, along with Carolyn and another face she didn't recognize: the leader of the prison revolt.

"Theo?" Olivia asked. "What brings you here?"

"I couldn't stop by without saying thank you." Theo said. "For helping me realize my true path."

"It wasn't all me, I have to admit." Caleb said.

"Caleb, there's a confession I have to make." Theo sighed. "It was my fault your parents are dead. I pulled the trigger."

"What?" Olivia asked.

"Will was right about one thing: The death of his parents was a mistake. However, there is more to it." Theo said. "During the purges, my father drew a pistol at a poor family, just as he claimed. However, I had grown sick of our regime's treatment of the less fortunate and wanted to end it. I wrestled with my father over the gun, my brother stepped in and tried to help him, and before I knew it, my finger slipped on the trigger and the shots were fired."

Caleb said nothing.

"Caleb, I never meant for any of this." Theo said. "Not a moment goes by where I wake up and I don't feel any sort of pain brought upon by my accident. Not even Father took it well; it was after that time he started to fall ill."

Caleb just walked over to him.

"I forgive you." Caleb said.

"Don't think I'll be so easy on you after you killed Jonah." Carolyn said. "What you did was still unspeakable."

"You think I give a shit if you forgive me or not?" Caleb asked. "I do not regret my actions. Unlike Theo, I was aware of who I killed."

Carolyn said nothing and walked away. Immediately after, the lead prisoner walked over to Olivia and held her hand.

"Do you remember me?" He asked. Olivia just stared at his face. Her eyes widened once she realized the truth.

"Dad…?" Olivia asked.

"I'm so sorry." He said hugging her.

"I don't know what to say." Olivia said frightened. "How can I forgive you after everything you've done to me?"

"Maybe I can't make you forgive me, but maybe she can half you reconsider."

Just then, a little girl, about two years younger than Olivia, walked over to her.

"Rebecca?" Olivia asked.

"Olivia, is that you?" The girl asked.

"Rebecca!" Olivia shouted, crying and hugging the younger girl. "My sister. I thought I'd never see you again!"

"After Theo helped me escape, he pulled a few strings and got her released." Olivia's father said. "I know I hurt you, but I want to do whatever it takes for us to be a family again."

"Thank you." Olivia said. "And thank you Theo. I knew there was good in you."

"Olivia, there's still one pressing matter to attend to." Caleb said. "Remember the black box?"

"That's right." Olivia said. "Hold on. I'll be right back."

Olivia then ran down The Wall and towards Caleb's secret hiding place. After grabbing what she needed, she ran back up The Wall and handed a black remote to Theo.

"Are you ready to take the mantle and start anew?" Caleb asked.

"What do you mean?" Theo asked.

"Once you press that button, all the remnants of the regime will crumble and you can rebuild our city as you please."

Theo hesitated for a moment, and then finally spoke.

"I'll do it." Theo said. "No matter the cost."

"Excellent." Caleb said.

Theo pressed the button.

Just then a loud explosion was felt as several of the buildings collapsed and shot out flaming rockets and fountains of red. Another series of buildings to the right of it collapsed in a similar manner shooting out fountains and rockets of white and finally another series of buildings to the right of that went down and shot up several blue rockets and fountains. Everyone on The Wall just stared in awe at the fireworks show before them.

"It's everything I ever dreamed of." Theo said quietly.

"My only regret is being blinded by victory." Caleb said.

At last, the Zanbato Tower went up in flames and crumbled into rubble as a large rocket shot out and exploded right in front of the white stripe in the center, creating a large golden star that completely illuminated the night sky.

Theo and Carolyn held hands. Rebecca's father just held Rebecca tight as they continued watching the show. And in the center of it all, Olivia and Caleb held each other and kissed under the firework-lit night sky.

One hundred years of conflict had been brought to an end, and no better ending could be brought out of it. Ready to learn from the mistakes of their families, everyone was eager to rebuild society.

And that, indeed, is how nature is done...

THE END

Well, it's done. After more than four years, three installments and several side stories, the Project Scipio trilogy is now finished. I'm sorry it took as long as it did, but a whole lot of personal stuff kept getting in the way and for a time, I just stopped caring about CL. But after my bouts of depression and struggling in college, I started to realize how much Lyoko meant to me, so now I took it upon myself to fulfill my one oath in life: To finish what I start. I was originally going to call it quits after this, but after my writing binge these past couple of days, I was hit with a new desire to keep writing. I won't be doing another story like this, but I will be making many other side stories, including more updates on 100 Days, some funny, some heartbreaking, but all will be done as they come.

Thank you all for being such loyal viewers and I hope to get plenty more soon enough.
