AN: Hey people. I have found myself back in a Godric mood. (Allan Hyde *drool*). The big difference in my rewrite is that it will be in 3rd person rather than first. Idk what I was thinking trying to do first person with a blind girl. Derp.

She had made the decision to move in with Sookie Stackhouse shortly after her grandmother was killed. It was one of the places of her childhood that she could remember before becoming blind. The Stackhouse family has been there for her since that terrible time.

Her feet gently kicked, rocking her in the porch swing. The breeze had been blowing through her long, silky, deep red hair. The sun's warmth danced on her fair skin. It was peaceful.

Carefully, she felt around with her hand, searching for her glass of iced tea. Her fingers gripped the sweating glass firmly as she took a sip.

The porch door opened and closed with a loud slam. "Lily," Sookie's thick accent was hard to miss, "Bill and I will be going to Dallas. Did you want to come with us?" she asked. Lily felt Sookie sit next to her on the swing.

She lowered the tea into her lap, pondering the question for a moment. "Are you sure that's wise? I wouldn't want you to feel like a babysitter." Her head slightly turned towards Sookie's direction.

"Staying in one place all the time has to be getting old for you. I know the idea might scare you little but there will be plenty of people around to help. we will be staying at a fancy vampire hotel. Won't that be something?" Sookie asked, placing a hand on Lily's shoulder and gently rubbing it. "It will be fun." Lily could tell she was smiling.

"What will you be going to Dallas for anyway?" Lily's eyes burned a little as she spoke, closing her eyes to help with her discomfort. Her head lowered in pain. The injury that led to her blindness still bothered her from time to time.

"Your eyes again, Lilybug?" A nickname Sookie uses for comfort. "We are going to Dallas to help Eric. You know that vampire from Fangtasia? His maker was kidnapped. I kind of wish Eric would go to hell but I owe him." Sookie's golden tanned skin glistened as she reached up to gentle stroke Lily's head.

"Now that you mention it, I would love to go and travel on his dime then! Count me in." Lily smiled wide, giggling a little with Sookie.

"It's settled then. Come on, let's go pack your things." Sookie said as she helped Lily get up and walk into the house.

Lily sat in the chair infront of an old hardwood desk, waiting for the next article of clothing.

"How about this one?" Sookie carefully draped the shirt into Lily's hands.

The fabric was smoothe and silky like butter. This was one of her favorite shirts ever. Didn't matter what it looked like on her. It's how she felt while wearing it that counted. That's something she thought all women should take into consideration. "Yes please, and will you also pack the matching skirt? There should be a baby blue skirt of the same material." She smiled.

"Well the shirt is white. I've always thought that light colors look great on you." Sookie smiled as well as she packed the clothing neatly in the suitcase. "Looks like that is about everything. We leave tomorrow evening and will be in Dallas by dark." Sookie moved the suitcase towards the door and moved closer to Lily. "You have always been like a sister to me." she bent down and kissed her cheek.

"You're like my sister too, Sookie," she said while reaching up for a small hug. "I'm going to draw my bath now and relax for a while before bed."

"Need help?" Sookie asked.

"No no, thank you though." Lily got up from the old chair and outstretched her arms, feeling around the area of her path.

"Just be careful. You scare the hell out of me when you go near those damn stairs!"

Lily giggled, "I'll be fine now will you go get ready to see that Bill of yours and leave my loner ass to bathe?" She stuck her tongue out at Sookie and blew.

"Okay fine! I didn't want to help anyway!" The sarcasm was the easiest to understand about Sookie, she was full of it!

Lily smiled once again before continuing down the hall to the bathroom. She smiled and closed the door when she felt the sink and old school wallpaper decorating every inch of the surface under her fingers. Now I just need to find the side of the tub..she thought. Carefully she eased herself down to the side of the tub, stabilizing her tiny 5'3 frame on top of it as she twisted the nobs. Her hand felt the waterfall of liquid turn hot, just the temperature she wanted.

Again, she thought to herself, I joke a lot but one day I would really like a man who doesn't see me as a burden because of my blindness. Oh sure, she has had plenty of dates. However, she always heard the disappointed tone that they always seemed to have when they found out she was completely blind. She sighed once more and stood to undress. One day..

A/N: Just a short opening. :)
