A/N: This is my first attempt at a Danny Phantom drabble, and Sam/Danny to be more precise (which is why I wanted to keep it simple), so I hope I did well. And if you spot any (stupid) errors, please don't hesitate to tell me. Enjoy! :)

Sam sighed deeply, staring grumpily at her unpacked lunch that lay on the table in front of her. The somewhat moody teen didn't know how or when her feelings for Danny had started, or even why, but they were there and that was slowly killing her from the inside. It was almost as though she couldn't even look at him in the eyes as of lately. Her stomach would flutter even if someone as much as mentioned his name. Oh, speaking of which...

"Hey, Sam."

The raven-haired girl went for a short and simple "Hi," as she watched Danny take place opposite from her, his own lunch packet already in his hand.

Even if it didn't look like it, she was mildly surprised that Tucker wasn't with him, but on second thought, she figured that she probably didn't want to know where the guy in question was now. A rather awkward silence set between the two friends, but Danny either didn't notice, or he simply chose to ignore it for the time being.

Sighing lightly, she decided to have her own lunch.

However, when she opened the small brown package, a look of pure horror crossed her face. "Yuck, are you kidding me?"

Clearly, this was what happened when her rather eccentric grandmother decided to secretly switch her lunch with what she had packed for her granddaughter instead. She really should start watching her more closely from now on.

At once, Danny's gaze turned back to her and he looked at her curiously. "What, what is it?"

She scrunched her nose, clearly disgusted at what she was seeing. "I have spinach on bread, again. Guh, I hate spinach!"

This was the third time that it had happened and the previous times, Sam had just thrown away her lunch and bought something from the canteen...unfortunately.

It was silent for a moment, but then the male teen suggested, as though it was the most obvious thing in the world, "Let's switch our lunches then."

"But you don't even like spinach," Sam commented with a raised eyebrow.

He'd made that very clear in the past. So if this was just another trick of him to prank her, or something...

"Oh, I'm not that hungry, anyways, so we can share everything I brought with me. Here."

Almost with reluctance, she shoved her lunch away and muttered a quiet "Thanks," when her friend gave her some of his food in exchange.

The ebony-haired male let out an amused chuckle. "Don't mention it."

And now she remembered again; it was those (almost sickeningly) sweet little things that kept reminding her every day why she had these feelings for him. Honestly, how could she not fall for Danny when he was acting like this?

A/N: I would be flattered if you could give me your opinion on this. :)
