"Bert! You are the greatest friend a guy can have!" Andrew hugs him, happily.
Bert becomes speechless. He intakes the nice-smelling cologne, the soft warmth of the other man's body. Bert's hand lingers from Andrew's back, wanting to hold him.
Bert catches himself and pulls him off. "Guys don't hug other guys."
Andrew smiles still and hugs him again and then stops. "Bert, thank you." and walks away.
Bert was in a bit of shock. He then looked down. "Well this is a problem...Oh no."
The next morning..
Andrew is sitting at the table eating breakfast and reading the paper as usual. He heard someone and looked up. He saw a beautiful blonde woman walk out of the apartment and then another woman who was rather lanky.
Andrew looks at them intrigued and disturbed. Bert hangs out in front of his room.
"What-Who- Why?"
Bert shrugs. "I haven't done it for a while and I felt like I could yesterday."
"Okay?" Andrew replied. "Bert, how'd you even?"
"It's about skill. It also helps when you say you have a serious illness and are going to die next week."
Andrew looks at him skeptically.
"Seriously this my.." Bert puts up his hands to count and starts counting to himself."5.6. 6th time."
"Sometimes I'm happy that I was born a man, or else I'd be tricked and degraded by you."
"I wish you were a woman." Bert mumbled under his breath.
"What was that?" Andrew asked not hearing it.
"I said that you already sound like a woman!" Bert yelled at him.
"Well, I uh, am going to be late to work." Andrew puts his dishes in the sink and folds his newspaper and puts it in the recycling bin. He grabs his things and heads to the door. "Good day." He leaves.
Bert slumps into a chair and puts his face into his hands. "This is going to be like high school again."
