Draco stumbled mercilessly down the corridors, long after curfew. He had just returned from an emergency meeting with you-know-who. At this so called "emergency meeting", Draco had finally voiced his opinion, which his father punished him severely for.

Thinking he was alone, he perched himself upon a window sill and stared out at the night sky, blankly talking to himself.

"My stupid father and the stupid death eaters and the stupid dark lord. Ruin my god damned life already."

"Draco, who are you talking to?" asked a light and airy voice. He knew who it was before he even looked up.

"Piss off, Loony. I wasn't talking to anybody."

"Well it sure sounded like it, Draco Malfoy. Why are you out here alone? I know it's after curfew but I figured you would be in bed." She said politely, even after Draco's snarky remark. Draco had been through enough in the past 24 hours and truly needed someone to talk to. He couldn't deny that.

"Well why are you out of bed?" he whispered quietly. Luna smiled to herself, knowing she had found a softer side of the one and only Slytherin Prince. Sex God. Draco Malfoy. Luna took a few steps closer, making Draco look up at the girl.

"The Nargles kept me up. They couldn't come near me though. I have a charm." She said, twiddling with the small cork hanging from her beaded blue necklace.

"I see…" Draco said warily. He still wasn't sure how this girl was legally sane. It was in that moment when he truly looked at her. She was fairly short in height. Draco knew he would be at least a foot and a half taller than her if he stood up. He then took notice of her hair. It was platinum blonde like his, but cascaded gracefully down her shoulders and stopped at her lower back in waves and ringlet curls. Her skin was nearly translucent in the pale moonlight. Draco's gaze finally met her eyes which he noticed were a stunning shade of blue. He noticeably gulped when he saw her smiling sweetly at him.

"Well Draco, do you mind if I join you?" she asked, motioning to the spot next to him. He nodded briefly before gazing out the window again. Everything was silent. To be honest, it made Draco uneasy, so he said the first thing that came to mind.

"You have pretty eyes." He said, barely above a whisper. She looked at him and gave him a genuine smile.

"Why thank you, Mr. Malfoy. I should really be going to bed. I suspect the Nargles are gone by now." She said, getting up from her spot on the large window sill. Much to his own dismay, Draco didn't want her to leave. Maybe she wasn't as Loony as everyone said she was. Draco found himself infatuated with the girl in such a short amount of time. A matter of minutes.

"Luna, wait!" he called after her as she headed back down the hall. She quickly spun on her heel, never having heard her name come his mouth before. She stood still and watched as the boy came closer and closer until finally he was standing right in front of her.

Draco didn't know what to do, so he did the only thing that felt right. He grabbed her shoulders and slowly started leaning down. To his surprise, she stood on her tiptoes and met him half way. The kiss was sweet and gentle… not what Draco was used to. But this felt right.

When they finally pulled apart, Luna looked up at him, a sweet smile playing on her lips. Draco, again, didn't know what to do or say so he said the first thing that came to his mind.

"I love you, Luna." He whispered. Luna's smile grew even more.

"I love you too, Draco Malfoy." She replied, leaning up to give him a quick peck on the lips before she turned and skipped down the corridor back to her dorm.

Meanwhile, still standing in the middle of the hall, Draco Malfoy had one thing on his mind. He decided to yell it down the corridor.

"What the bloody hell just happened?"
