Hi there everyone! I've decided to start up this story again. This chapter is filled with some of the original dialogue that is seen in the actual game. Also, Ruto is annoying at this point, but she just wants to find the stone. And she's a little impatient girl xD What'd ya expect? Anyway enjoy.
Disclaimer: I do not own Legend of Zelda
The noise of a flesh door causes the princess to open up her eyes. She rises to see a boy clad in a green tunic stare at her with river blue eyes.
"You! Who are you?!" She asks.
"I'm Link," he says with a smile.
"I am Ruto, Princess of the Zoras."
"You are? Well lets get going since your father asked me to come and save you"
"What?! Are you saying my father asked you to come here to save me!"
"He sure did."
"I'd never ask anyone to do such a thing!"
"What about the letter in a bottle?"
" 'Letter in a Bottle?' I have no idea what you're talking about!"
"Your father is really worried about you."
"I don't care if he is!" Silence stems between the two.
"Anyway, I can't go home right now. And you… Get out of here! Understand?!" Link watches her walk off with bewildered blue eyes.
"Ooooh Noooooo!" Not again, Ruto thinks to herself as she falls on her butt and hits the squishy floor. She hears the screams of a falling boy and watches as he lands on his feet along side her.
"Are you still hanging here?" Link nods his head. "I told you to go away!"
"But I can't leave you here, your father a-"
"I'm OK. I've been going inside Lord Jabu-Jabu's belly since I was little, but…"
"But what?"
"Lord Jabu-Jabu is very strange today…"
"What do you mean by strange?"
"There are electrified jellyfish and strange holes around…"
"Like the one you fell in?" Ruto makes a face at him.
"On top of that, my precious stone was…but… That's none of your business! Anyway…" Link's eyes light up at the mention of the stone, but Ruto doesn't seem to notice.
"You! Go home now! Understand!?" Link shakes his head no. "You're that worried about me?"
"Of course I am, you're in the belly of a wha- I mean, Lord Jabu-Jabu."
"Then I will give you the honor of carrying me!" Ruto blinks softly. "However… I won't leave until I find the thing I'm looking for." Link shakes his head in understanding and smiles at her.
"I understand."
"You'd better!" Ruto sits down pulling her knees together with her arms. She makes a "Eh-ya" as he lifts her up above his. Boy is he strong, she thinks. Her bottom sits on a green cap and she finds herself being carried comfortably.
Link walks into the next flesh door. The red flesh hallway is littered with floating bubbles. He hurdles her at one of them. The smell is awful, but Ruto resists the urge to lose her guts.
"Hey! Next time set me down then strike it with your sword."
"But it's so much fun throwing you around, now stop being so annoying." Link hoists her above his head.
"Hey, I'm a princess you know!"
"Well too bad." He carries her for awhile until a sting ray flies at him, knocking Ruto down. Without warning Ruto is thrown up from the trench. "Hold tight princess, let me finish them off."
Ruto patiently waits. "Took you long enough," she teases. "Thank you," she smiles.
"You're welcome princess." Down another pathway they go, but this time the fleshy red door is covered in thick green vines. "Hey, I'm going to have to set you down again."
Ruto nods as she is set down. Link takes out his sling shot and takes one shot to hit the white flesh dangling from above. It goes back into the red flesh, and the vines fall from the floor.
He enters the next room with Ruto and instantly drops her as he draws out his sword. He deflects the deku nut being spewed at him and kills the purple octopus monster. A flesh elevator arrives and lands in the water for a few seconds.
Link jumps on with a Ruto on his head. They go back to the room they started in, and Link expertly avoids all the holes, moves past the jellyfish, and finally enters the next flesh door. In it lurks sharp fanged ground dwellers. The things burst from the ground with electrified tails. "LINK! Watch out!" Navi calls.
In three swift moves he slashes at each of their tails. They turn into simple light particles before him. There are three different pathways. One is blocked by a slimy thing, so the two move toward the one farthest to the right.
I gigantic blue switch protrudes from the ground. Link steps on it and with the weight of Ruto it allows the vines covering the door to fall off once again. In the two go. The floor of the room has sting rays lurking in the flesh. They pop out at Link nose diving toward him, but with a few swings he strikes each one down. The floor becomes splattered with sprays of blue blood.
Suddenly a chest twice the size of both Ruto and Link materializes by beams of light.
Link opens up the chest slowly, revealing light as he opens it. He lifts the boomerang up over his head with giddiness. Ruto smiles over at him.
"A reward for sting ray slashing?" She tilts her head sweetly.
"Yep." Link nods his head eagerly.
The two exit the room and Link heads of to the door to the left. He drops Ruto on the white-ish blue platform and leaves her there without saying a word. He enters alone, and finds himself face to face with an electrified dangling piece of flesh. Is this a tongue or something? He tries to whack it with his sword, but that does no good. Then he thinks of something. He pulls out his yellow boomerang with a ruby stone and tosses it at the tongue like thing. It stills. This time he successfully strikes it. It jolts at him, but he repeats the process until the muscle is mere chunks on the floor.
He exits the room to find Ruto with her arms crossed and a frown on her face. "Hey how inconsiderate!"
"Sorry Princess."
"Hmph," she sits down again and lets him carry her. They venture into one last room to cut down a tongue again. After Link does this they head back to the room from before.
"Oh the green electric thing is gone!" Ruto exclaims.
"It sure is." They head down the hole where the green thing once was. A gigantic jelly fish is avoided so as to make their way to a new flesh door.
A blue light shines brilliantly as they enter the room. Ruto bellows in excitement. "That's it! That's what I've been looking for!"
"The spiritual stone of water!"
"Throw me up there!"
"You sure about this Ruto?" She nods.
Link tosses her up there. She walks toward the stone and hoists it above her head with a smile stretching across her lips.
"Oh my goodness! I finally found … My mother's stone!"
"That's great Ruto, now you might want to come down here." Ruto kept talking.
" I got very upset when Lord Jabu-Jabu swallowed it…"
"It sounds like it meant a lot to you."
"While I was feeding him, he suddenly swallowed my precious stone!" "But, now that I've found it, I don't need to be in here anymore." Link nods.
"So take me home right now!" She demands. Jeez pushy little princess Link thinks to himself, but she has her heart in the right place.
Link takes a few steps toward her, but then the ground starts shaking. The platform moves upward and Ruto yelps with surprise.
"Keeeeeeeyaaah!" What is this?! An Octopus!?"
