Snow White lay on the cold ground, the poison taking effect. William ran to her and took her in his arms. He looked into her eyes and whispered something he'd always wanted to tell her.
"I love you, Snow White."
She looked into his eyes, and a tears streaked her face.
She closed her eyes, and she was gone.
William's tears fell and his body raked with sobs. He hugged her into his chest and cried. He stayed like that for a moment, and then he did something he'd never thought he'd get the chance to do. He tucked her hair behind her ear and pressed his lips softly to hers.
Snow White's eyes opened slowly as William pulled back.
"You're alive." he whispered, tears still falling from his eyes.
She smiled gently, and caressed his cheek. He put his hand on hers and sighed contently.
"Didn't think you'd lose me that easily, did you?" she asked, smiling a little.
"Of course not. You were never easy to get rid of." he replied.
She laughed and leaned in closer to him.
He pressed his lips to hers once more, and this time, she responded.
They pulled away hesitantly. William rose, and helped Snow White stand. Now, they'd have to seek his father's help and go after the Queen.
"This is just the beginning." William promised as he took her hand, and led her back to camp.
She smiled sweetly at him and said, "I know."
