I have returned and I have a new chapter for you that I hope you enjoy. Prepare to be shocked and awed!
Thank you to all who reviewed:
xenocanaan: Thank you very much!
JDMichelle2626: I hope what happens will be surprising, I also hope I get the wow factor because usually people end up guessing what I got coming.
Esmereilda: I have come across quite a few that are cringe worthy, my advice be careful.
Dusky: Thank you very much I was hoping it would at least be an intriguing world and thank you for saying that. I always hope I'm doing a good job portraying them, but everyone has their own opinions. So I'm glad to hear you approve. I had thought about looking into real demons but I felt it would complicate the world I've already built (I actually consider making Lilith a relative of Sebastian but ultimately decided against it) so I'm sorry but I must decline. As for grammarly, I'm actually trying to work on my grammar myself. I have been slowly improving so please bear with me.
The trees, yeah, I was trying to set a mood but I guess I didn't do it right if I got you thinking about that. The entire place isn't supposed to make sense, and the trees grow but from nothing. I was trying to portray the strangeness and the unsettling nature of the demon world. They live in desolation and rather than do anything about it they simply pretend it doesn't exist. The demons are like the trees, no idea how they came to be they just exist...like the weird trees.
It is excellent thanks to demon magic! If only magic was real!
I do not own Kuroshitsuji
Warning: I feel I should put this down, but if your sensitive about religion you may not like Larisa's views on it and I remind you this is simply a story that isn't supposed to be taken seriously. Its for fun! Fun to read and fun to write!
Gazing at the curtains in complete silence, Larisa blinked her eyes as the haziness of her dreams slowly got pushed away. Slowly pushing herself up, she reached up to touch her cheek where she felt tiny fingers touch her cheek hours ago. Did Sebastian have children in his castle? Reaching out to pull back the curtain, Larisa gazed out at the far wall in wonder.
That surely had to be a dream, but that voice and touch felt so real. Not to mention if it was all in her head what exactly did her head think she need protection from? Wasn't all the obstacles done and over with, what else could they face. Sebastian was slowly becoming a force no one could win against, so it wasn't like other demons were a problem anymore.
Charles was definitely no longer a problem, nor the people he worked with.
Maybe the angels or shinigami would be coming for her, but she didn't see why, if Meri thought she was good for demons why wouldn't the other angels think that too. Then the same could be said for the shinigami, she might make Sebastian more powerful, but he helped bring order to chaos.
Crawling out of bed, Larisa rubbed her eyes and looked around the room gazing at the dark snowy wall painted on the walls. The moment her foot touched the floor the lights turned on at once and everything was illuminated, slipping out of bed she peered around and found herself alone. Heading for the closet she grabbed a dress from what she dubbed the Belle closet.
Choosing a blue and green dress she next went into the bathroom and for the next hour moved around the room before figuring everything out. Finally finding nobs for water, Larisa sat off to the side as water poured out of a water fall at the far end. Looking up when water began to fall from the sky like rain Larisa held out a hand and shivered at the warm droplets.
It wasn't long for the tub to fill up and once it did Larisa disrobed and made her way in, going down the steps slowly making sure not to slip. It didn't take long before she was neck deep in, swimming back and forth for a minute or two she finally settled on a seat. It was low enough that only her shoulders and head were exposed.
Which made her feel better, she was having a bit of issue with her body lately. All that weight she lost in the past the first time had finally come back, but due to her mother's and Sebastian's pushiness she gained a couple of extra pounds. By a couple she meant more than that too and no matter what she did, she wasn't losing them.
Sebastian told her to stop worrying about it because she looked fine and he found the weight appealing, but she couldn't help but feel self-conscious. Humans would forever struggle with body issues, the two were interchangeable. No matter how much that sucked.
Laying back watching the steam rise Larisa smiled, with the tub as big as it was, it was like swimming naked in your pool, maybe Sam wasn't lying about skinny dipping. That said she still wasn't sure she wanted to try that, after all warm water was different from cold and lukewarm. Not to mention the threat of exposure was unappealing.
She rather Sebastian and her mother be the only people to have ever seen her, she didn't know if her dad ever saw her naked as a baby, but momma definitely had. Dad didn't even bath Ciel or change his diapers…though that was mostly her fault. Seeing how she wanted to act like a mommy to her baby brother. Folding her arms on the ledge of the tub Larisa rested her head as the warmth relaxed her.
This bath might have been a bad idea, she was getting sleepy again.
Shaking off her sleepiness Larisa finished up her bath making sure to scrub herself clean before changing into her dress. Slipping into it she let out that appreciative sigh she gave to her wedding dress, just like that gown this one had been tailored to her. Once she did her hair Larisa began her search for Sebastian, ignoring her beds swan song she checked her wing but found no sigh of him.
Stepping out of her wing she began to travel down the halls with no real idea where she was going, going up and down floors she found more unexplored rooms. There was one room that was like a museum and it was filled with preserved flowers of all kind frozen in bloom. Another room was filled with book sets of all kinds that were signed by authors. Then yet another room was filled with weapons that she was sure was crafted by the masters of old.
Sebastian had not been kidding when he claimed he collected things mortals desired, it didn't matter how mundane or silly the desired possession was, he had them. She honestly wouldn't be surprised if he had a room with beanie babies. Opening a door, Larisa paused when she in fact found herself in a room with beanie babies, "…Well I walked right into that one," she sighed.
Closing the door about to yell out for Sebastian, Larisa paused when laughter hit her, to be specific a child's laughter…definitely a little boy. Closing the door Larisa looked around the hall before finally catching something out of the corner of the eye. Turning toward the right she watched as a small child ran around the corner.
It was a young boy with black hair and all she really saw was twin tails from his coat flapping around the corner, gazing at the corner warily. Larisa peered around, following weird things was never recommended but if he was in Sebastian's castle maybe that meant the kid was okay. Or at the very least safe, taking a careful step after him she quickly fell into a trot as she rounded the corner.
Where she found nothing waiting for her.
Sighing Larisa rubbed her head, was she seeing things now on top of having strange dreams, was something new coming or was this something else. Maybe she was finally succumbing to insanity. Hearing another laugh Larisa felt a stabbing pain in her head, her eyeballs felt as if they were about to be pushed from her skull. Letting out a groan, she held her hand over her face and slide down to her knees. The pain increased though, falling to her side Larisa began to slowly lose concentration.
Peering out at nothing she watched as a small boy appeared from a doorway, she couldn't see too much of him, her vision made his face too blurry. The only thing she could see was his legs encased in black short pants, socks, and sneakers. Walking over to her he knelt down and stroked her head, "Don't worry, I'll take care of him," he whispered then it was all gone.
Putting the finishing touches on Larisa's meal, Sebastian stepped back and surveyed the meal he made for his bride. Due to this being her first time here, as Larisa at least, he decided to make her comfort food that being chicken noodle soup and a meat pie. Then for desert he made her, her favorite a strawberry cake, though he only included a small slice.
Larisa had been complaining about gaining weight and he knew she wished to lose it to return to her previous weight. So, he would just give her a small slice so she couldn't complain too much. Pausing when a noise sounded from behind, peering back he found Larisa smiling at him. Gazing at her Sebastian paused because something seemed off.
"Larisa?" Sebastian questioned.
Walking toward him she flashed a wide smile and trailed her fingers along the counter peeking into each drawer she passed, "Sebastian!" she said happily. Turning away from her, Sebastian frowned as he listened to her go through the drawers, her smile was quite strange a little to wide. Not to mention her tone was a little high, almost had a childlike tone to her voice.
Pausing at that, he could hear her pulling something from a drawer doing her best too stay silent, but he could hear everything. From the sound of it…a large butcher's knife. Once the knife was free, she rushed toward him, turning around quickly Sebastian grabbed her wrist. Coming face to face with the pointed end of the large knife.
Gazing at the knife he watched as it shook in Larisa's hand, she was pushing against him with all she had, growling like a mad-woman. Looking away from the knife, he eyed her, and the murderous rage reflected in her eyes, "…Who are you and why are you inhabiting my mates body," he said coldly.
Getting nothing, he squeezed her wrist tight enough to loosen her hold on the knife and caught the knife by its tip between his fingers. Tossing the knife away and embedding it into the wall, he glared down at Larisa, "I'll asked you once more…who, are, you," he demanded leaning in.
Shaking Larisa shook her head her eyes flashing before her face went lack. Watching her closely he pulled away when a much more Larisa's like expression took root. Looking around confused with an almost sleepy look on her face, she became his mate once more. Releasing her wrist, he grabbed her shoulders as she stumbled back, "Sebastian?" she questioned confused.
"Larisa, are you alright?" Sebastian asked her.
Frowning at that Larisa shook her head and took a step back, "I'm fine, but how am I here? Last thing I remember…um…what was it," she said feeling a headache coming to her. Rubbing her forehead, she stumbled back and leaned up against the counter, "Sebastian…I don't feel good, I had a strange dream and my head is killing me," she told him frowning.
Frowning Sebastian turned around and grabbed the trey, "Lets return to your quarters, your hungry and the sugar will help you think," he suggested.
Sitting in front of an empty tray, Larisa ignored the lingering hunger she felt and sipped her tea, she hated diets…you were always hungry. Not to mention Sebastian's food always left you wanting more, you wanted to eat his food till your stomach burst. Wincing at that mental image she shook her head, well maybe you didn't want to eat his food that much.
Waving his hand, Sebastian sent her dishes away, "So do you remember?" he asked her.
Nodding at his question, Larisa frowned, "Sebastian I had a weird dream that felt…strange. I thought I was awake, but I don't really know if I was, I was floating or something when I heard a boy," she told him quietly.
"A boy?" questioned Sebastian suspiciously.
Nodding at that, Larisa reached up to touch her cheek, "He was probably five or six, he asked if I could hear him and when I told him I could…he touched my cheek. Then he told me he would protect me from him. I saw him when I got up, I was going around the castle looking for you when I saw the back of a young boy, he darted around a corner. When I followed after him around the corner, he was gone…after that…my head began to pound…then I was in the kitchen with you," she told him.
Sighing at that, Sebastian pinched the bridge of his nose, "When are you going to learn to not follow strange people you don't know," he asked.
Blushing at that, Larisa stood up, "Oh come on, he was in your castle, I thought that meant he was alright…plus I wanted to know what he was going to protect me from. After all its not like we have anymore major threats. Winter is dead, and Avalanche is to sweet to be a threat and with Winter's death if the other dragons got any ideas they were quickly dashed. Claude has passed on; the demons are beginning to recognize you as the new Hell King and any who oppose you will die. After all you have those super powerful ancient kings to help you since they recognize me as the treasure," she cried growing upset.
Feeling a dam, she didn't even know had been built, burst, Larisa slumped into her seat as tears began to fall, slumping over she buried her face into her arms and began to sob. If something was coming that had phantom boys scrambling to protect her, what on earth could it be? Not to mention when was it going to end, was she going to be the one to get all the crap? Was she going to have Femi's life, she couldn't have Femi's life, she didn't have the woman's backbone!
Gazing at her surprised, Sebastian reached over, "Larisa calm down, everything will be alright," he told her pulling her up.
Turning her wet and red face to him, Larisa sobbed, "How do you know that?" she asked him.
Pulling out a handkerchief, from his sleeve, Sebastian mopped up her face and once she blew her nose, he incinerated the cloth, "I'm quite surprised you've been moved to tears, I think the only time you've cried was when someone's death was near or when your memories were gone," he said.
Wiping away a few stray tears, Larisa shook her head, "I'm just tired, I thought we were over all the major threats, I mean we're married, by demon terms I'm off the market. Not only that but each time were with each other you get more powerful so why are people still coming," she asked.
Petting her hair, Sebastian smiled, "Larisa, I don't think a new threat is coming…I think a young demon is playing a trick on you," he said easily.
"A young demon?" asked Larisa peering up.
Nodding at that, Sebastian sighed, "Its not uncommon for young demon boys to play tricks on others, its actually quite common," he said.
Jumping up alarmed Larisa looked herself over, "A little boy took over my body?! What did he make me do?" she cried looking her self over wondering if they did something to her.
Watching her amused for a moment or two, Sebastian chuckled, "He tried to attack me using your body, seems to be inexperience with take overs considering the noise. I think you must have been his first, quite daring to use the treasure as his first. He must want to make a name for himself. Though not to daring since he chose a human, after all humans don't know how to guard against mind invasions" he mused to her calmly.
Frowning at that comment, Larisa pondered just how one would guard their mind, "How do you guard? Do you think about putting gates up around your mind and boom you have gates, or is it more complicated like meditation and entering into yourself and manually setting stuff up? Also, why don't you sound worried that a child is trying to kill you with your own wife?" she asked.
"He's just a child, Larisa, there's no need for any concern," Sebastian told her amused.
Shaking her head at that comment, Larisa huffed, "Just a child, he's not just a child, Sebastian. Who ever this boy is, he's a demon child. You can't underestimate demons! We need to find him and find out why he's so angry with you. Maybe we can help him out," she cried astonished.
How could he be so relaxed.
A demon was dangerous no matter how old, she didn't follow the kid because she underestimated him, she followed him because he was in Sebastian's castle. She though the only people who could get in where people he approved of. Whining she slumped back into her seat and slide downward, "Why can't our enemy be another adult…I don't want to harm a child," she said.
Resting her hands on her stomach Larisa sank into thought, what could this child possibly be after and what did it have to do with them. The kid clearly said he would protect her from him. It was obvious who the her was because he told her outright. The him though, that had to be Sebastian but why would someone want to protect her from her husband?
Sebastian was far from abusive and if the child was a demon why would he care about her dating a demon, she assumed he had no issues with humans seeing how he wanted to protect her. Sighing she finally stood up and slunk away toward the couch, "Why does a kid hate you?" she questioned.
Falling onto the couch she gazed at the blank tv and watched her reflection, gazing at it for minutes she jumped when she spied the boy in question in the reflection. He was standing behind her and glaring at something off screen, or more accurately glaring straight at Sebastian. Sitting up with a jolt she whipped around but found no child and when she peered back, he was no longer reflected.
Grabbing the couch back she sunk down and pressed her face into it leaving only her eyes uncovered, gazing at the ground she felt fear building up inside of her. Was she going crazy? Was this supposed to be her reaction to seeing the demon world…but it wasn't that bad. It was empty nothingness, that couldn't make her go crazy!
"…Sebastian…I just saw the boy again…in the reflection of the tv," Larisa said weakly.
Standing up, Sebastian walked over to her and peered down at her before turning his gaze over to the spot behind the couch. Frowning he narrowed his gaze, "There is no demonic energy near you aside from me, are you sure it wasn't just a trick of the light?" he questioned.
Clutching The back of the couch, Larisa frowned, "…Could…Could I be going crazy? Because I saw the demon world, you said humans can go crazy, is that what's happening?" she asked him.
Grabbing his chin, Sebastian shook his head, "No, I don't think that's what's happening Larisa, you would react different if this world made you lose your mind. I've seen it twice in my life and each time it began with them attempting to harm themselves…not blacking out and going after the demon. I'm not sure what's going on," he said pondering what was going on.
Frowning at that, Larisa sighed, "Are ghost real? Do you collect ghost?" she asked him.
Chuckling at that Sebastian peered over to Larisa and smiled, "Ghost…well its not as if they aren't real, but they don't really function the way humans think they do. When something is actively haunted in the mortal world, you'll notice it's not restless spirits…its demons wishing to mess with mortals. Usually the more you pay attention the more they poke back at you, when you ignore it, they tend to leave you be and move on," he explained.
Pausing at that, Larisa frowned, "Oh…that's kind of disappointing," she muttered before shaking her head because that didn't matter. Looking up at Sebastian she gazed at him completely confused, "What could this be about then, if it isn't a demon child or a child ghost what's trying to take over me and kill you! Sebastian, what have you pissed off," she asked him bewildered.
Pausing at that, Sebastian crossed his arms, "That would take to long to answer," he muttered.
Pondering who would attack Sebastian now that Claude was out of the equation, Larisa paused when a certain red-head popped up in her mind, "Could Kale be up to something, he openly said he didn't like you and I know he said he is loyal to you because I chose you and all…but um, well could he be playing a prank? I mean, its not like this is hurting me and I doubt I could ever kill you so maybe it's a joke," she pondered.
It wasn't exactly a sound theory or anything and more of a shot in the dark, but it was something.
Shaking his head at that, Sebastian frowned, "Again, I would feel demonic energy if it was a demon pulling the strings," he mused to her.
Frowning at that Larisa flopped over, "Why don't I just go to sleep, and you can see if whoever takes over again, then just ask him what he wants," she muttered closing her eyes.
"We'll call that option two," said Sebastian.
Sighing at that, Larisa opened her eyes and gazed at the green cushions, while Sebastian tried to figure out the mystery of her body hacker, she pondered whether she could get another nap. She felt tired for some reason and kind of wanted to go back to sleep. She knew she should be worried, and she was, but if she worried anymore her anxiety was going to make her lose her lunch.
Despite wanting more of what she just ate, her nerves was not letting it settle on her stomach well leaving her with that sensation of, will I be sick or will I not. She hated that sensation, especially when it came to you late at night and you were up for close to three hours waiting for your body to react. She usually always ending up puking in those cases but rather than just do it outright and let her sleep the rest of the night, her body took three hours!
Ignoring Sebastian as he began to verbally go over what could be the cause before she knew it Larisa was back to sleep snoozing away peacefully. Never noticing Sebastian paced the room wondering just what was going on with his bride. He wasn't all that good with possession. It wasn't really his style to be honest, so he never really looked into it.
For the most part it was just a childish trait.
Most did it as children and ditched it once they grew up, it couldn't be a demonic child though because he would feel the energy and he felt nothing around Larisa when she returned to normal. Then there was the headache she said that accompany her, they needed her to be unconscious. That actually wasn't necessary for a demon, child or not.
Pausing Sebastian sniffed the air when the distinct scent of burning air touched his nose, turning he found Larisa on her knees on the couch. One hand was raise and floating above that hand was a ball of fire and the evil looking smile on her face told him she wasn't home. At once the room filled up with flames as the possessor tossed ball after ball at him.
Gritting his teeth, Sebastian let out a frustrated growl before darting across the room right toward Larisa and when he grabbed her, she was on the attack. Wincing when she slapped her hands onto his back, he felt intense heat burn through his clothes and sear his skin. Taking her into the bathroom he tossed her into the pool of warm bathwater before heading back to the room.
Putting out all the flames, Sebastian sighed before turning back toward the bathroom where a soggy and annoyed Larisa appeared. Eyeing her Sebastian frowned, "So, are you Larisa once more or is our little angry friend still in control," he asked.
The growl told him everything.
Brushing back his bangs, Sebastian sighed, "Very well, so would you like to tell me why you hate me or is this just going to be one long annoying mess?" he asked her.
Glaring at him, Larisa's fist shook, "I hate you," she hissed, her voice once more that high-pitch, child-line tone.
Sighing at that Sebastian crossed his arms, "I already guessed that, now, be a good little boy and tell me what your grievance with me is. Maybe I can attempt to remedy it and you can stop possessing my mate," he said stonily.
Smirking at that, Larisa walked into the room dripping water everywhere soaking the floor, "Remedy, you can't remedy this. I hate you; I want you gone; I want you far, far away from Larisa because you'll bring her only sadness. When they find out she'll be rejected…at least that's her worse fear. If that happens…she might reject me…I won't let that happen. So, you have to go," she spat.
Furrowing his brow at that, Sebastian shook his head, "Reject you? What are you going on about? Who are you and why would you care what Larisa thinks of you? She doesn't know many people from the demon world," he snapped thoroughly confused.
Laughing at that questioned Larisa sighed, "I thought you were suppose to be smart," she said mockingly, joy lighting up her eyes. It was very odd watching someone control Larisa, this person did not move like her. Larisa kept her motions tight and tried to stay as small as she could, never wanting to take up too much room or draw attention. This person though they moved with grander, they had a sense of entitlement, a notion Larisa did not share because she was far to self-conscious.
Narrowing his gaze, Sebastian frowned, "Being smart doesn't mean you can make a correct guess when you have little to go on," he fired back.
"I would have thought you would have seen all the clues to discover who I am," said Larisa laughing.
Glowering at that comment, Sebastian stalked forward ready to get answers only to stop when as before Larisa changed. Stopping mid-laugh, she seemed to slump as the arrogant expression she wore melted away to confusion. Drawing back into herself she peered around and at her soggy clothes before looking up at him fearfully, "Sebastian…what's happening?" she asked tearfully.
They left the demon world, lying in bed next to Larisa who slept peacefully, Sebastian frowned, this all started when he took her to the demon world meaning it had to deal with his realm. Whatever was after him was stronger there so till he could figure out what was going on, he was bound to the human world. He was obviously the target, but why was he the target and why were they attacking him through Larisa of all things?
Getting out of bed, Sebastian stepped out of the room, whoever was controlling her mention him seeing the changes but what were these changes he was supposed to have noticed. That comment was far too vague. Entering the study, he hardly used Sebastian pulled out a pad and began to write down everything in their life that had changed. From final changes in both him and Larisa's household to environmental changes. Weather changes, changes in others, and so on and on.
It was in the afternoon when he was joined by Larisa, slipping in the room dressed and cleaned up she yawned before stalling when she found all the paper. Peering around she picked up a few and frowned, "Did a paper tornado hit us? Also, what are your writing about, is this stuff about my school year? What when did you see me throw away that bad grade, I made last month! Sebastian are you stalking me at school," she cried embarrassed.
Frowning as he continued to write things down, Sebastian frowned, "I'm still watching you to make sure you're not harmed," he announced casually.
Frowning at his lack of shame, Larisa made her way over to him, "What are you doing?" she asked him annoyed.
Sighing as he ripped out a new page and tossed it, Sebastian frowned, "The boy who took over you mention he would have thought I would have been able to discover all the clues to see who he is. Meaning he's connected to us, the clues pointing to him are all around us, so I've been documenting everything around us," he said.
Gazing at him worried, Larisa dropped the paper and grabbed out to grabbed Sebastian's hands, "Sebastian, your thinking to much, I know I've been worrying you because I've been a little overly emotional, but you should stop this. Your going mad. Just relax, I mean so far, he's been unable to do anything since we returned to the human world, so everything is fine for now," she told him.
Frowning at that Sebastian gazed at Larisa worried expression and sighed, "Your right, but I still don't like the idea of this child on their own. What they said struck a chord. They're truly concerned about you for some reason. Only not your health your mental condition, mental wounds are harder to heal," he said reaching out to cup her face.
Smiling at that Larisa chuckled, "True, but so long as I have you, I'll be able to pull though. After all, all the Queen needs is her King," she said happily.
Gazing at Larisa, Sebastian soften his gaze and pulled a hand to pet her head, "Yes, so let's go get you some lunch you slept through breakfast, so I'll give you a little something extra. No buts," he said happily when he found a protest forming. Pausing at that Sebastian felt something inside of him pop, gazing at Larisa in a new light he stood up and grabbed her shoulder.
Larisa…she liked to sleep in, but truth be told it wasn't hard for her to rise but lately it had been terribly difficult to wake her. Not to mention she had been sleeping a lot more lately.
Then her appetite, it had increased hence her extra weight but no matter what she did her dieting wouldn't decrease that acclimation of fat. Which was focused around her stomach…all in all it wasn't a hinder to her health, but it was a couple of extra pounds.
She wasn't overly emotional, but she had experience some high level of emotions that he figured was brought on by stress with school and of course the demon world.
Last but not least, Larisa had yet to receive her period, but she had a long history of it changing at the drop of a dime due to her being a bundle of stress due to different factors. She attempted to keep that a secret, but everyone could tell that was it.
Still this couldn't be true, could it.
Leaning in Sebastian stared his bride in the eye, "Larisa I know you commanded me to not speak to you about this, and to act without informing you when you experience it. However, I need you to answer me honestly because this is important. Have you had your period at all. Have you seen any blood, or have you taken notice of signs telling you its coming soon?" he questioned her firmly.
Blushing a little Larisa looked away and frowned before peering up, "Um, well, the day I threw out my bad test…I also ended up failing two other exams. I noticed at school I had a little blood, so I thought I was about to start it…but it never came. I figured it was because I was upset about my grades…but that was a month ago…wait Sebastian…," she said trailing off when what he asked dawned on her.
Releasing her Sebastian stumbled back and grabbed the desk, "Larisa your pregnant, the baby was able to take over you in the demon world and attack me. Demon infants begin to retain memories within the womb and the more powerful children can even read their mother's minds. He probably picked up on your fears about revealing me and our child to your family and how they will react. Hence why he hates me, he deems me the problem…I'm actually a little proud that he hates me over you," he said becoming amused.
Turning toward Larisa who was blushing like a mad woman, Sebastian walked over and bent down getting eye level with her stomach and womb. Reaching out he touched the area were the baby was and now that he focused underneath Larisa's energy, he found a budding demonic energy, "I'm sad you choose to hate me, but I'm proud that you recognize your mother's unconditional love for you already. Good boy," he praised.
Placing her hands over her womb, Larisa frowned as she gazed down, there was a baby inside of her, it was so strange to hear that. It was a little alien knowing she had a baby inside her, a foreign body within her, one that would share her body with her for the most part of a year. A new life had been formed and she would grow it within her, it was kind of amazing when you thought of it.
It was amazing and bizarre that her body was no longer her own.
Before she could go on with all that though Larisa turned to Sebastian, "I thought that demons could control their fertility?" she asked him confused. He told her she didn't have to worry about teen pregnancy specifically because of that!
Wincing at that Sebastian gave her an awkward smile, "Yes, um, well, the thing about that is, well…I didn't realize how strong my baser instincts would be," he confessed.
"Baser instincts?" questioned Larisa.
Nodding at that Sebastian sighed, "Yes, I've messed up a few times, but I kept an eye on things, I managed to make my mess ups around uncritical times. It seems this last time though I miscalculated, I'm sorry Larisa. My desire for a child was to strong, with this baby I should never make a mistake like this again, please forgive me," he said bowing his head.
Frowning at that Larisa clasped her hands together, she wasn't angry, so he was forgiven besides they had bigger fish to fry, "I'm still a teenager…and in school, what happens now Sebastian?" she asked him afraid. Things had to change now didn't they, she was going to have a baby and eventually she was going to show. Unless she carried high, she heard women didn't show to quickly if they carried high…whatever that meant. Not to mention all the symptoms she was sure to go though.
Food aversion, morning sickness, hormones, hot flashes, and um…what else did a pregnant woman go through. She only knew the symptoms that were shown in the movies for comedic effect! Crap she needed to learn more, but still what was she going to do when her mother asked her why she kept throwing up. She couldn't have food poisoning for nine months! Or however long it lasted. Shaking his head, Sebastian reached out for her, "Don't worry, you should be able to finish out the year before anyone notices, as for later on. I can finish your education myself and I'll teach you all you need to know about the changes your going to experience…" he said before trailing off.
Frowning Larisa peered up to Sebastian timidly, "Wh-What about my parents?" she asked him.
Pausing at that Sebastian sighed before casting her a look, "I know you fear your parents reaction to me, but you cannot hid this forever. With the birth of our son they'll know, while he'll look like a human, he will be different," he told her sternly.
Looking at him tearfully, Larisa's hands shook as she glared at Sebastian, "I know that, but its not easy to tell them about you! Mom is religious so she sees you as a bad person, how can I be happy when my mother is going to view you as a bad person and view our baby as a bad person! You keep saying she'll accept you eventually, but you do realize I have to experience what becomes in-between. We both know that in-between will be her rejecting you, rejecting the baby, and rejecting me!" she yelled tear pouring down her cheeks.
Sobbing Larisa lifted her arm and covered her eyes as she cried, he just didn't understand, she was scared about the time because Dana wouldn't accept this…she probably never would. There was no guarantee she would accept this, he just assumed she would because that would make her happiest.
Turning away she walked away from Sebastian and made a beeline toward her room and once she locked herself in, she fell to her bed and sobbed. Sebastian came to the door and attempted to cox her out, but she wasn't ready to see him. She didn't know if this was due to hormones, but if she was being honest, this wasn't due to hormones. This was something she had been struggling with for a long time and the fact her baby was after Sebastian meant it was bigger than she felt.
Sitting up when her tears finally dried out, Larisa hiccuped and rubbed her eyes, they stung viciously due to all her tears. She had a pounding headache that pulsed in time with her heart, sighing Larisa made her way over to her desk and pulled out her journal. Flipping to a blank page she grabbed a pen and began to write.
'I'm going to warn you now, my precious future treasure, this addition might be a little hard to read but I feel the strong urge to talk to you about it. I just found out today I'm pregnant. I'm only seventeen and to say I'm scared would be an understatement. My worries are a little different from normal teenagers who get pregnant. After all the father won't leave me, money isn't a problem seeing how he can make gold from nothing, and even with that fact he's still accumulated wealth the old fashion way. Not only that he's thousands of years old so Sebastian is very wise and I'm sure plenty of demons are willing to tell me what to do about having a baby. So those aren't my worries, my worries are more based on the stigma that comes with having a baby in my day and age (hope this changes in your age! Along with many other things, namely people stop seeing themselves as so different and finally understanding we're all one big race…of underclass humans in a demon filled world!).'
Sighing Larisa pulled back and gazed at the page waiting for the ink to dry, pausing she could hear Sebastian moving around below but she ignored that. Once the ink was dry, she pulled the book closer once more and continued.
'My other worry is my mother…its not that she's completely against that kind of thing but my mom is religious…though a different kind of religious than most. You have your crazies who quote the bible for everything and twist its meanings to deem what they consider righteous as alright. Then you have those who find god, they worship him because they feel he watches over them and helps them. (Personally, I think those who find him when they are forced to go through horrible things are simply strong, they mistake their own strength of perseverance with their hope in god to live! I admire those with a strong will to live!) Then there's my mother she takes the bible with a grain of salt…but one thing she's certain of is that demons are bad. I'll admit they aren't good, but they aren't all evil. You get your oddballs like Alphonse and while demons are our salvation, they are still a source of horror to others. That's why its our job to make demons softer on humans…its going to be hard but don't worry. I'm seeing now that you don't have to changed them all with your reign just show a handful what humanity has to offer…trust me is works!'
Gazing down at her words, Larisa reread her words and felt something building up inside, if the next her was religious…what would she think of this. Eyeing her words, she pulled her book down and began to write once more. There was something she wanted to say, it felt important to her and this was her book, so she was going to put it down.
'I just reread this paragraph and there's something I want to say. If your religious, I'm sorry for what I'm about to say but I feel like it should be said. After all this book is about my reign as the treasure and I feel like I should be completely honest with you. Not to mention…I need to say these words.
I HATE religion.
I despise it with every fiber of my being, I know I shouldn't base this on the actions of others, but I can't help it. I don't see the good of religion. Its supposed to be about love and all that but it just seems like rules that someone is trying to establish to make the world work their way. Before you throw the book away, if your religious, know that I do believe in god, I believe someone, or something created us…but I think that's where it stops.
(Also, just an FYI, I have no real idea about the afterlife but I kind of hope heaven is real of course that means hell might be real too)
I don't think God cares about what we do or how we do it, he just made us to live…and that's not bad, I think. I mean it means we can't disappoint them you know! As for how to distinguish good and evil, well, I can't answer that because to be honest there isn't really a defining definition on what makes good or evil. What one sees as bad another sees as good, that said if you take pleasure in bad things and you acknowledge what your doing is bad then your obviously bad. Then if you take pleasure in stuff other's deem bad, well that's harder to answer. After all homosexuality isn't bad, its just love, why should you care, you don't care about a man and woman loving each other so why should you care if a man and a man love each other or a woman and woman love each other…its love so why does it have to be wrong! However, rape is wrong, I don't care what anyone says, nothing justifies forcing yourself on another. So, like I said if you take pleasure in stuff other's deem bad, well that's harder to answer'
Pausing for a moment Larisa wondered if she dare go on, she already was sounding like a mad woman, but this was making her feel better. Plus, she still had more to say, nodding to herself she turned the page once the ink dry and continued on.
'I'm sorry I'm rambling but to get back to what I was talking about earlier, I think the words of religion is more common sense when it talks about good and evil. Humans know bad and good because its like common sense. This is probably the girl part of me but I think some religious were created by men simply so they could control women. Some religions start off good but then men get their grimy paws on it delude the words, usually further, and somehow make women their servants. Then you have psychos who use God's work to validate death! Wars, horrific acts, and so much more is caused because of religion…you think someone would see this and think this has to stop. I just don't understand why people still follow religion when more bad than good comes from it. You don't need to be a part of church to do charity, you just need like-minded people. I think in some small way; some people gravitate to religion because they want to be with other like-minded good-hearted people. However, I don't think that's a good enough reason to keep religion. Enough of my bashing it for personal reasons, let's see a practical assumption.
Hmm, well I don't know if it qualifies as practical but, let me riddle you this. God is an omnipotent being, correct. They know all, they know what's to come and what will happen, they see time like a map of ever possibility and everything else like that. Nothing can get past them, because they're everything! So, if that omnipotent being created a religion that he wanted his beings to follow don't you think he would present it to them in a way that couldn't be disputed by even the biggest skeptic. He would know we would be skeptical and pick everything apart. Plus, he would present it to all because despite what people think we're all created equal in his image, some religion at least got that right…not sure which one. So why would there be multiple religions?!
Anyway, that's my argument, I'm sure it can be shattered with well choice words and phrases and so much more…but its how I feel. I hate religion…now I think I hate it more because I know my mother is going to push me away. She loves me with all her heart, but she feels that way about my brothers and my father too. If it was just me, she would embrace me and try her hardest to save me, despite me not needing to be saved. However, she has my brothers and father so she's going to push me away to save their souls. I won't leave my husband and I won't hate my baby, so I can't be saved, that's how she'll see it and maybe she's right. I'm an idiot so I probably damning my soul, but I don't care loving Sebastian is like eating…its necessary for life. After meeting him I was doomed, though truth be told this is probably the teenage hormones talking, we see love as life and death…hence the melodrama of Twilight! Seriously though…religion is about to tear my family apart and I want someone to understand why I think this…I'm sorry if I made you feel bad. I hope I'll have a happy ending…but I don't know if I will. I promise my next entry will be happier. Because despite what will happen, I am going to have a baby…mine and Sebastian's first child.
I already love him more than my own life!
Finishing the page, Larisa sighed and pulled away before her tears dripped onto the page, she felt like a load had lifted off of her after confessing that. She never said this because she was afraid of what people would say to her if they knew. She was scared of religion so much and that fear transferred to others when they spoke about it so she can't speak about it with anyone due to that fear.
Closing her journal, Larisa sighed, "What did that woman do to me, she scared me so deeply that the trauma had been inflicted onto my very soul…at least Grandpa isn't the only one to be tormented by mad people. Though he has it worse seeing how Ciel is haunted by what happened, poor Grandpa, if I see you again, I'll give you an extra big hug," she mused.
It was weird that memories she couldn't even remember affect her so deeply. She supposed that meant things done to infants can really have a lasting effect. She was going to have to take extra care and make sure she gave her baby the best childhood!
Hearing a knock on the door, Larisa pushed away from her desk and headed over to the door where no doubt Sebastian was waiting. She should apologize to him; she knew he was just trying to help her and was choosing the rip off the Band-Aid in one go tactic. Before she could reached the door though, Larisa was overwhelmed by the scent of so many delicious things all of which she loved. At once her stomach growl reminding her, she hadn't eaten yet. She was actually drooling a little, "Larisa please open the door," came Sebastian's muffled voice.
Smiling at that Larisa sighed, despite the fact she was the one who overreacted he was making the most effort in giving an apology. Opening the door, she was blinded by the scene beyond, it was almost like a scene from a manga or anime…rose petals were actually blowing past her.
In front of her was Sebastian on one knee holding a rainbow bouquet of roses, the bouquet had to have every species of rose! She never realized there were so many shapes, sizes, colors, and even different scents! He didn't stop there though he had his trusty serving tray along with two matching ones loaded down with all her favorite things to eat. Then in another hand he had a box that looked like a ring box, "Larisa, I'm sorry," he said.
Laughing, Larisa wiped her eye and flung herself forward wrapping her arms around Sebastian's neck, breathing in his scent as he wrapped his arms around her. Larisa shook her head, "A King shouldn't be on his knees! You also shouldn't apologize, I overreacted and acted like a spoiled child. I know I have to tell my parent; I chose this life for myself and I need to stop acting so wishy-washy. I love you and I should tell my parents that no matter what because I don't want you to think, I think I made a mistake," she said happily.
Pushing her back slightly Sebastian frowned, "Larisa, I'm merely a tag-along to you, I'm your King but you're the Queen of the Underworld. The Treasure is the true ruler of the Underworld! So, I will bow and kneel whenever I displease you! As for our argument…I appreciate your apology, but I think we're both at fault here. You may be dragging your feet, but I failed to see it from your point of view," he said remorsefully.
Picking her up he carried her into her room and set her down at a small table he materialized, "…I forgot about the in-between…honestly I think you might be right, she will reject you at first. I know you also fear she will never accept you, but I think otherwise. All that said though, there will be a period where you two will be at odds. Something that will not be easy for you, I only saw it as getting it over with and didn't think about how you would feel waiting for things to mend," he said.
Sighing at that, Larisa frowned, "I have to stop dragging my feet…still…its so hard to imagine my life without my mom. I mean I know it would in a sense be me going off to college…but at least if I was going to college she wouldn't, you know be praying for my soul," she told him.
Reaching over Sebastian hugged Larisa, "I'll call the others to help keep your pregnancy secret for however long you need. We won't rush this," he said.
"…Thank you, Sebastian," said Larisa.
Nodding Sebastian passed over the small present, "Now, take a look, I think you'll like it," he said.
Taking it from him Larisa opened it up and smiled before laughing, resting inside was a baby's pacifier it was a glossy black with a gold crown painted on, "I love it!" she cried throwing her arms around him.
I hope you enjoyed.
