We are back once again ladies and gentlemen. Sorry for the year long hiatus. Things came up. Like League of Legends. And gaming. And Steam... Yeah.

Cheers to a new year, mates!

An Angel

*Recap*

As the four of them drew near to the entrance, Leon had slung his gunblade over his shoulder and smiled at them warmly.

"It's been a while, guys. Welcome to Radiant Garden." He said, waving his hand out at the magnificent city that had one long river that connected each street.

"You've made all this progress since the last time we were here?" Sora asked, looking around at the bright buildings. The clear blue water shimmered in the sun as fish swam peacefully in it.

"You could say that. To be honest, we had some magical help from people from other worlds, but other than that, we made it ourselves." Leon pointed to a large crane off into the distance. "That crane marks where RG's Construction Team hides out. It's pretty close to the castle but not too close, if that makes any sense."

"Question." Riku said, putting his hand in the air as if he were in class. He then pointed to a sleek, high-tech ship cruising over the city in the distance. "What's that?"

Leon turned around and saw what he was pointing at. "Oh, that's our defense patrol. All those guards you saw in the Hangar pretty much live up there."

The ship pulsated twice, sending out a thin shock-wave of blue aura that passed through everything in the city.

"Is that safe?" Kairi asked, clutching Sora's hand.

Leon chuckled at her timidness. "Of course. That pulse was just to make sure that there are no Heartless lurking around. It's filled with Light so if any form of Darkness is in the city, it's eradicated immediately."

Sora turned to Riku, catching Leon's attention in the process. "Don't worry. He'll be fine too."

Riku sighed slightly and motioned Leon to continue the tour of the city.

Everything was essentially the same as before, minus a few new buildings and shoppes.

"So, where's this Angel guy?" Sora asked bluntly. He looked around to see if he could find anyone that stood out. "I bet he looks really cool!"

Leon chuckled and wiped the hair out of his face. "You could always look for him, you know. The city might seem big, but it's actually kinda close-knit. I'm sure he'll be around here somewhere."

"Aren't you coming with us?" Xion asked, clinging to Riku's arm.

"Unfortunately, I have some business to take care of. Running this place is hard work, you know." He pointed to a part of the large castle in the distance. That part of the castle wasn't attached to the main castle at all but instead was floating off to the side. It had small satellites floating around it that picked up signals that ranged from the clustered streets of Radiant Garden to the world's orbital space. "I have to keep things fair and square for everyone who lives here."

Sora nodded to Leon, who then left the group to their endeavors.

Sora turned to face his friends and held out his hands in a 'this-or-that' fashion. "Alright then! Should we split up and find this guy or go together as a group?"

"Well," Riku put rested his elbow in his palm and put a finger to his chin. "If we split up, we can cover more ground. But if we move toge-"

The Princess and her Prince had already left, leaving the Knight of Dawn with Xion. "Or you could do that. That works too."

Xion look up at Riku and laced her fingers with his. "Shall we go, then?"

Riku looked back down at her, locking their gaze. "Yeah."

"Hmm, where do you think we should look first?" Kairi proposed, grabbing two ice cream cones from a vendor. She handed one to Sora, who took it and looked around the city for a place to start their search.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw something shining at him as if a glass reflected the sun's rays directly at him. He turned his head quickly to see where the light was shining from but it went away almost immediately.

"I think we should start over there." He pointed to a nearby alleyway that was wedged between two large buildings.

"Why over there?" Kairi asked, licking her ice cream slowly.

"I dunno. I just have this feeling..." Before he knew it, Sora's body had already started walking towards the alleyway.

"Sora, wait for me!" She called out to him, but he never responded. Kairi tilted her head to the side in confusion. "Maybe he just didn't hear me...?"

Sora peered around the corner slowly, licking his ice cream as he did so. When the coast was clear, he turned into the alleyway, where he saw something dark at the end of it. He walked forward hesitantly, looking around ever so often to make sure he was safe.

When Sora was close enough to the entity, he extended his hand slowly, looking around once more to make sure it was safe. No one was at the entrance of the alleyway and no one was in his immediate radius or on the roofs.

His finger touched the entity and Sora was taken back in shock. What he felt was fabric, leather to be exact. He sighed in relief and backed away to turn around.

"What are you doing?" Someone said from the entrance of the alleyway. The figure was darkened from the sun's rays.

Sora didn't respond, but instead took matters into his own hands. He swallowed what was left of his ice cream and drew his keyblade.

The figure put its hands up in defense. "Woah, woah, woah. Relax."

Sora narrowed his eyes at the figure to try and make out its face. With no luck, he walked forward without responding to the figure.

The figure put its hands down slowly and into its pants pocket. "Could you do me a favour and toss me my jacket? I've been looking for it all day."

Sora looked back at the leather heap that he had just touched, then looked back at the figure. "Who are you?"

The figure looked around before looking back at Sora. "Who, me?"

Sora didn't respond, but instead summoned another keyblade that flouted around him until it made its way into his other hand.

"Yeesh, you're so uptight. Just hand me my jacket and I'll tell you." The figure tilted his head to one side, keeping its eyes on Sora.

When the Keyblade Master didn't respond, the figure sighed and vanished in an instant.

"You should've just tossed me my jacket, Sora. It's impolite to go against your elders." The figure's voice was now behind Sora. When he realised this, he quickly turned around and gripped his keyblades tightly.

"I'll ask only one more time." His face grew hard and stern. "Who are you and how do you know my name?"

The figure sighed yet again and put on its jacket slowly. "Well, Sora," He walked passed Sora and towards the entrance of the alleyway. "My name's Angel. I'm sure you know exactly who I am, don't you?"

The sun's rays shone directly on his skin, revealing short brown hair, soft brown eyes, a white shirt, combat boots, and black pants that were tucked into his boots. He looked to be the same age as Sora, yet somewhat older. "Now could you please put down your weapons? It's rather bothersome."

Sora stood upright, looking at Angel with narrowed eyes. He dismissed his keyblades but kept his gaze on him. "Were you the one sent by the King?"

Angel shifted his weight to one foot and crossed his arms over his chest. "I don't know. Am I?"

Sarcasm drenched the air around Angel, making Sora feel slightly irritated.

Angel sighed and stuck his hands in his pockets. "Yes, yes, I am. Now relax, okay? There's no need to be so tense around me. I'm a good guy." He held his arms out in a wide arc, expecting Sora to loosen up.

When he didn't, Angel slumped and sighed once more. "You're a very cautious one, aren't you?"

"Sora! Sora! I told you wait for-" Kairi ran into the alleyway but stopped when she saw Angel at the entrance and Sora towards the rear. "me."

Angel turned around when he heard the girl's sweet voice. "Ah, you must be Kairi. It's a pleasure to meet you, Princess."

Kairi slowly stepped back from him, quickly glancing at Sora, who was as tense as ever. "Who are you."

"Me? I'm the one the King sent to help you guys. But your boyfriend over here doesn't seen too fond of me." Angel shrugged his shoulders and jabbed his thumb in Sora's direction.

"Sora, why are you so tense? He's the one we've been looking for, right?" Kairi licked her ice cream and walked towards her Prince.

"I smelt Darkness coming from him. I wasn't sure if he was telling the truth or not." Sora reached out for Kairi's hand subconsciously and held it tight.

"Oh come on! Just because I've been through a couple Corridors of Darkness doesn't mean I'm a Heartless now. Would you say the same thing about Riku?" Angel sniffed his armpits in a mockingly fashion.

Sora stared at Angel, not averting his eyes for one second. "What makes you so special anyway? Why'd the King pick you to help us?"

"Can I tell you later? I'd rather not sit here in this heat explaining two hundred years worth of history to you." He turned his back to the two and began walking away towards a nearby shoppe. When he felt that they weren't following, he turned back around and walked backwards. "What're you waiting for?"

KHKHKH

"Hmm, I wonder where this guy could be." Riku asked aloud, looking around slowly.

"Maybe," Xion skipped towards him and locked arms with him. "Maybe he's looking for us just like we're looking for him?"

Riku sighed and stopped, turning around in a circle slowly. His eyes stopped and narrowed when he saw a mass of spiked brown hair followed by vibrant auburn hair chasing a figure that he couldn't make out. "I think we've found who we're looking for."

He walked towards the two and called out their names to catch their attention. "Sora! Kairi!" The red-headed girl turned to see who had called her. She waved him over and Riku complied, grabbing Xion gently by the wrist and running towards the Princess.

Alright ladies and gentlemen. I do apologise for having such a short chapter. After a year hiatus, I come back with little to nothing. But don't worry. I'll be updating this very very soon. I promise.
