A/N So sorry it's taken a really long time. I have been crazy with work and writers block. but alas this story comes to a close. This story has kind of been with me since I joined this site. And it's a bit bitter sweet to finish it. Thank you to all those who followed, and Favorited, reviewed and simply read it. It means si much to me. I love you all.

*Veronica Mars Voice Over*

Any thing is possible in Neptune.

There are some that said Celeste favored Duncan over Lilly and merely tolerated her. But the truth is, she adored her daughter, she just didn't know how to express it towards her because they were so different.

There are some, many actually, that believed Stewart manning was a God fearing, devote christian. But the truth is he was mentally, physically, and emotionally abusive towards his three daughters. He was in cooperation with the Irish mob. He murdered three people, including a deputy. He kidnapped and attempted murder of girl out of vengeance.

There are some who believed the Fitzpatricks would terrify the city of Neptune forever. But the sheriffs department just took them out, arrested most of the mob and killed the ring leader.

There are those, mostly me and dad, who thought if Celeste and mother were ever in the same vicinity they would kill each other. Yet here they both are on the beach sitting on opposite sides merely shooting eye daggers at each other from across the room. But if looks could kill...

Then there are some, many actually, that never would dream in their wildest dreams that me and Donald Lamb would be getting married today. Yet here i am in my little apartment that i shared with dad for my high school years getting ready.

Then there's me. I know I said i would never get married because i had seen the spouses cheating in sleazy motels. But hey what can i say; people change when they have near death experiences that and they find someone who mutually cant live without. So here i am, as i said in my old apartment getting ready. Getting ready for my wedding.

That's right, I, Veronica Mars is getting ready to marry thee Don Lamb, former sheriff and a ginormous asshole.

He's still an asshole but he's mine.

*End Voice Over*

It was a moderately warm day, surprisingly. Veronica told her mother that she didn't want her to help her get ready. She was upset and practically threw a tantrum but once she took a shot she was better. Seems she still hadn't kicked that habit, not even Jake was important enough she thought.

So she had Madison, Mac and Sarah to help her. Veronica had never even thought of a wedding dress before; never thought she would be in need of one. But Madison and mac dragged her out to the shops. Eventually she found a perfect dress. Its strange how lily always winds up appearing when shes in need of something to convince Veronica of.

*flashback

"The world is ready for you Veronica mars. Donnie lamb is ready for you. You are not a strap poofy, Disney princess girl, Ronniekins! You are a BAM strapless, show off this hot body of yours woman! This is your dress. You'll make all your ex's be wishing they never left you, and knock your loving deputy to his knees!"

So she asked for it. The lady said it was the last one and was quite a lot of money.

Madison said to put it on hold for us.

"Is that the one?"

She nodded " you guys may not understand this, and i may sound absolutely crazy, but Lily. Lily she told me that was the dress"

We were walking down the road, she didn't see Duncan and Celeste walking towards them.

Duncan came up, "who would have thought Veronica mars and Madison Sinclair being friends and wedding dress shopping none the less?" He laughed. "Lily say hi to your aunt Veronica,"

"Hi Aunt Ronika, daddy says you were friends with my mom. Mommy died a long time ago" she rambled. oh the things kids say.

" i was, yes. You're was very nice to me, when a lot people weren't."

Little lily had a bright smile on her face, Veronica saw how much she had of meg in her.

"You find a dress you like?"

Madison decided to answer knowing Veronica never would "she did, but its out of our price range and shes to stubborn to ask her mother for help" she said so casually. Veronica shot a glare at her.

"I see" said Duncan Celeste over heard the conversation as she caught up to her family. " may we see it?" She seemed genuinely interested. So mac and madison dragged Veronica back to the shop with Celeste and the younger Kane's in tow.

She put the dress back on and and stepped out. She did a little twirl to emphasize the small flare at the bottom. Her hands smoothed out the fabric despite there being no wrinkles.

"Looks like something Lily would have picked out for you" Duncan said absentmindedly.

She laughed which caused curious stares from the Kane's and Celeste.

"She practically did. Don't call me crazy but i swear lily spoke to me when i saw it."

"How long have you been seeing lily, Ronnie?"

She looked down at her hands still smoothing the dress, "since junior year" she said quietly.

"Me too."

There was silence in the air that hung. Several moments passed before Celeste stood and told the sales associate that she'd take it. "I really cant afford it though" Veronica protested

"You cant, but i can my dear" she said quietly, " consider this my way of making up to for the years that i was horrid to because of my resentment towards your mother. You are nothing like her. You are mostly your father, and that's good. You found who took my daughter away from me and took car of my son and granddaughter when they needed you most. I don't know how you fooled those agents but you did. And though at the time i resented you; now i thank you" she concluded with whipping out her check book and heading to the counter. Veronica as well as the rest of the room was shocked into silence.

*present time

So here she stands in the middle of her room, make done to look natural, seeming as she hardly wore it; make was done: loose curls that hung on her shoulders as half was pulled loosely to the back, bangs accenting her face. She chose no veil but placed so soft white daisies in her hair.

The dress was on her now. It was a form fitting strapless that flared just a smudge at the hips. It wasn't white, she didn't want to try and pretend to be a vestal virgin, she new very well she was not. It was a soft creme color that accented her pale skin beautifully.

The wedding was in another two hours and Veronica felt that she needed to be somewhere. She told the limo driver to take her to the cemetery.

There she was, in her wedding dress sitting in front of the tomb stone of Lily Kane, her best friend.

"Im getting married today" she whispered "thank you for the dress Lil. You're right, the dress is perfect" she continued through tears. "You used to tease me for my crush on Don, haha and now i'm marrying him. Duncan's coming and your mom. She's changed a lot. She thanked me. AND apologized. It was weird.

"We are also now sisters. Mom married your dad. Their affair continued after you died i guess. I don't know. But you are now my sister, for real now. I wish you could be my maid of honor, i love Mac, i do, but i wish you would be alive to see this"

"I will be there, stupid. Think i'd miss the wedding of Veronica mars and the sheriff?! Come on Veronica!" She heard Lilly say as sat perched against the tombstone.

Veronica wiped her tears as she stood dusting her self off. The limo driver pointed at his wrist indicating it was time to leave. She climbed in to the limo and drove off to get married.

She fiddled with the necklace around her neck, "i love you lily" she whispered one last time.

The music played from the guitar, as she descended down the isle on the arm of her father. Lilies in hand, and a smile plastered on her face, she stared at her soon to be husband.

Keith shook Don's hand and kissed his daughters cheek before sitting.

The preacher man said to say i do. He did. And she did too. He laid his hands to cup her face and she took hold of his tie and pulled him down to her level. And they shared their first kiss as man and wife.

No one dared to object because they all knew of Veronica's fury, and they didn't want to test it...again.

Epilogue

Veronica stayed with the bureau and Don moved to LA with her. He got a job a sheriff in orange county. They shared a little apartment. And a year after the wedding gave birth to a baby girl, Coral Jade.

The Lambs visited Neptune more often as did those from Neptune visit them.

When Coral was born Weevil, Logan and Wallace joked saying she was going to be just like her mother. Her response was that she would be going to Neptune high by the time she would start acting up, and then she'd be Clemons problem. After all he said he always needed another student like her. Well there you go.

No I'm not going to say it was happily ever after. Because after all it Veronica, and she loves to argue. So there for there will always be fights. But they did live happily. She fought bad guys, then came home to be loved on by her adoring husband and lovely daughter. She had everything she could have ever dream. And at night instead of tossing and turning because if nightmares, she snuggled next to Don. And she slept like a lamb.
