Rebirth of a God, Father of a Demon

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto or Final Fantasy VI

Kefka sighed, as he sat in the chair he had been provided by the Sandaime 6 years ago, when Naruto first came under his care. He had hoped that Naruto would be progressing farther in his studies. He was proud of his surrogate son, but he was also slightly disappointed. He desperately wanted the child to succeed, but no matter what he did, he felt like something was missing. His son was a prodigy, and he enjoyed that thought, but unfortunately, He could not help the feeling that something was wrong with how he was progressing. Like something was limiting him. He had very little control over his power, and every so often Kefka would see a red corona of energy envelope Naruto as he slept. If it was the Kyuubi, something that had killed the strongest warrior the village had at the time, what would it do to Naruto?

Kefka sighed as he got up and began pacing. He had no idea as to what to do, and it was driving him insane. Well, more insane, but that wasn't the point. All he knew at this point, was that he needed to handle the Kyuubi now before Naruto suffered for it.

Knowing what he must do, he gathered up his brush and his ink. He had studied fuinjutsu for six years, just in case something like this would happen. He quietly strode up to Naruto's room and opened the door. As he looked in to see his son sleeping peacefully, he sighed, fearing the consequences of his next actions, but knowing that they were unavoidable. He quickly scooped up Naruto from his little bed, trying his best to not wake him up. He held the little boy, resignation and sorrow on his face. As he crept out of the room, however, Naruto began to stir.

"Jii-san, where are we going?" Naruto mumbled, still mostly asleep.

"Nowhere important, kiddo. Just go back to sleep." He said to Naruto, as he felt guilt begin to overwhelm him. Naruto yawned and rubbed his head against the man's shoulder, before he gripped tightly to him.

"Okay jii-san..."

Kefka shook his head and continued on to his destinatation, as he resolved that no matter what would happen, everything that he did was for Naruto's wellbeing.

AN: Wow, its been over a year since I updated. I'm not gonna lie, I almost gave up on this. I know it might seem good to you guys, but this story is terrible to me, and I just can't get into it anymore. I love the premise though, and I'll try to work on it more, but don't hope for much. The story is too fast paced for me, and I prefer reading and writing stuff with the right amount of buildup. I'm not quitting, but I'm not going to actively write this. But Yeah, I'm going to be writing a Fallout story though, and I think that one will take priority. Sorry. But thanks for the reviews, the favorites, and all that. R&R.
