It was all very odd when right in the middle of Voldemort's gloating speech to Harry Potter; a man appeared right in front of him. The man had not apparated, he just appeared. He was clearly a Muggle. He seemed to be pressing a button on his watch.

'Hi there,' he said in an American accent. 'I'm Captain Jack Harkness, and who are you?'

The man was flirting with Lord Voldemort.

'AVADA KEDAVRA!' yelled Voldemort.

The man dropped dead. Harry glared at Voldemort.

'What did he ever do to you? He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time!'

Suddenly the man sat up, gasping.

'What was that for? Geez, I show up in a crowd of people and someone just has to kill me!'

'How are you still alive? That curse should have killed you! You are nothing more than a Muggle. Explain.'

'And another question is: why do you have a teenage boy tied up?'

'He is my enemy!'

'You have a really active fantasy life, don't you?' said the man.

'AVADA KEDAVRA!' yelled Voldemort again.

The man died again, but a second later he popped back up.

'You know, I don't really like being killed over and over. It's not exactly fun.'

'AVADA-'

'Oh, shut up!' said the man.

He stood up, untied Harry, and said: 'Run!'

Harry quickly ran away.

'You let him out!' cried Voldemort.

'What are you gonna do about it?'

'AVADA KEDAVRA!'

The man dropped dead once again. Then he sat up.

'Would you stop doing that?'

'How do you live? That curse would kill anyone, yet you are sitting here talking to me.'

'Look, buddy, if I had any choice of people to talk to, I really don't think I'd pick you. And how am I alive? I'm kind of immortal.'

'How are you immortal, Muggle?'

'What's a Muggle, anyway?'

'It means you are not a wizard.'

'Oh, the Doctor would get a kick out of that! Magic!'

Suddenly a wheezing, groaning sound could be heard as a Police Public Call Box appeared. The door opened and a tall thin man with messy brown hair peeked out.

'Jack?' he said.

'Doctor!' said the man.

'Blimey, who's this? He looks like a dog from Barcelona. The planet, not the city.'

Jack snorted and walked over to the blue box. The tall man moved over so he could get in, and closed the door. A second later, the box began to disappear with the same noise it had made when it appeared. For possibly the first time, Lord Voldemort was bamboozled.
