Remus willed his shaking hands to still as he looked around the corner at a laughing Sirius Black. Oh gods, he was so handsome. His head tilted back just so the light shone on his face, making him look almost angelic…if angels were dark and mysterious, that is. And his laugh, oh gods his laugh. It was silky and deep, and so mesmerizing. Remus could listen to it all day. He retreated and looked down at himself, adjusting his shirt and tie nervously. He peeked back around the corner and saw Sirius wave goodbye to the group he was talking to as they walked the opposite direction. He took a deep breath as Sirius made his way toward Remus. Sirius had his head down and almost walked right by Remus without noticing his friend. That wouldn't do. Without thinking, Remus stretched out his arm and grasped Sirius's hand and pulled him around the corner.
"What's up, Remy?" Sirius wondered.
"I just wanted to talk to you." Remus said awkwardly.
"Oh, well talk."
Remus looked down at his shoes and rubbed the back of his head. He sighed and looked back up at Sirius who was giving him a worried look. He sighed again and opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. Finally, he took a deep breath and grabbed Sirius arm, pulling him flush against his body, used one hand to tilt his chin up and leaned forward. The instant Remus's lips touched Sirius, an electric shock exploded through Remus's body. Sirius froze, unsure of what to do, but when Remus didn't pull away, he relaxed into the kiss. Still buzzing from adrenaline, Remus took a chance and ran his tongue across Sirius's lip. Sirius parted his lips cautiously, but Remus forced them open and ran his tongue across Sirius's.
Sirius gasped, opening his mouth wider, and Remus smiled into the kiss. They kissed for several more moments, a wild clash of tongues and teeth, before pulling away, slightly breathless and flushed.
"Wow. Um…okay, that was unexpected." Sirius said awkwardly. Remus's heart sank as he realized the complications of what he had just done and he groaned.
"I'm so sorry, Sirius. I don't know what came over me, I really don't. I'm not normally like that, really. I just…I don't know what came over me. I'm sorry." Remus finished lamely and turned to walk away, but was stopped by a hand on his arm, turning him back around. Suddenly, Sirius's lips were covering his own again, in a gentle kiss without tongues.
"Don't be sorry. I responded, didn't I? If I didn't want to I would have pushed you away the second your lips touched mine." Sirius smiled. Remus grinned back, blushing red.
"So, you don't mind kissing me?"
"Mind? I've only been fantasizing about it since third year!"
"Really?" Remus grinned even wider, if that was even possible. "I've liked you since third year too. I'm just too shy to do anything about it."
"That's why I didn't approach you. I knew intimacy made you uncomfortable, so I kind of resigned myself to never having a chance with you." Sirius admitted, embarrassed.
"Well, you have more than a chance." Remus teased.
"Good. Because I plan on kissing you like that every day." Sirius grinned.
"I'd like that." Remus smiled.
"So, let's make this official, shall we? Remus John Lupin, will you be my boyfriend?"
"Why, of course, Sirius Orion Black."
Sirius grinned and pulled Remus in for another chaste kiss, before taking his hand and heading toward Gryffindor Tower. They had two friends to tell about the interesting development in their relationship. They were nervous, but they knew that in the end, James and Peter would be support of their relationship as long as they were happy. And they were, together.
