PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:

For anyone who is still with this story I'd like to say thank you very much.. someone very, very close to me died so it hasn't been easy. This story isn't cancelled or anything but I didn't think I would be coming back to this story.. I had this small chapter written already so I added onto it a little and decided to post it so I could update you guys a little at least. I'm hoping to get more chapters done soon; it's March break now and writing takes my minds off things so maybe. I actually liked going over this chapter so maybe there's a chance you'll have some new ones real soon. Tomorrow is my brithday so I'm not sure how much I'll get done then though XD
Since I haven't updated in a long while I suggest you re-read the last chapter or two, haha

I need to rush this so I can't respond to people right now but I will later tonight

"You coming?" Link asked.

I hesitated. "I think I'll just get some sleep."

Sheik nodded. "You're probably beat. Let's go Linky!"

Link leaned down and pressed his lips softly against my forehead. "Get some sleep then. . . sweet dreams." He murmured and tucked my hair behind my ear before leaving with Sheik.

I closed my eyes and rolled over. I snuggled the best I could into the blankets—it was utterly cold with no one beside me to keep me warm. It was so weird not having someone to keep me so comfortable. I wonder how I even managed before these guys came alone. I know it wasn't easy, but still.

I knew it wasn't good to look back at my past now and pushed the thoughts out of my head. I'm supposed to be moving on. But could I really ever forget? I groaned and buried my face deeper into the pillow. I need to stop relying on Link to help me sleep.

I peeled my eyes open, sunlight shining directly into to them. "Damn," I growled and very reluctantly crawled out of bed to pull the curtains over the window, protecting my tired eyes from the hot desert sun.

I sighed in relief when the room went dark and I could have sworn I heard my eyes thank me. Link, oddly enough, must not have come back last night. That or he actually got up before me, but I'd consider a dinosaur eating the lazy ass before that. I walked over to the dressed to find some clothes. As I got dressed I looked at the calendar on the wall; X's marking the days gone by. Link used to do it to all the calendars at Telma's so I knew it was his doing.

I squinted. "Is it really. . . my birthday today?" It was either today or yesterday if he forgot to check it off last night. It's not like any of them knew anyways. Maybe I can really just go through the day without any big commotion. Yeah, just keep low. How would they know anyways?

With a sign I flopped back onto the bed. It was probably pretty early and I didn't feel like talking to anyone or eating. I'm sure I'll be flooded with questions about mine and Drake's little adventure to the arena if I do leave. If I wait it out long enough surely Drake will have everyone caught up and I won't have to explain the same thing multiple times to multiple people.

Yeah, I mean it is my birthday. I deserve some luck and cake—no, none of that. That's in the past. You aren't home Zelda and you aren't going to get a cake from Kayleigh and her mom. "Ughh!" I growled and shoved my face into my hands. Are flashbacks really going to be how I start my day? But jeez, am I really seventeen years old now? That sounds so much older than sixteen. Am I supposed to be mature by now?

A knock on the door brought me back to reality. The door opened after, revealing the one and only Link. "I'm surprised you're up," He said and raised an eyebrow suspiciously, "even dressed? . . ."

"What time is it?" I mumbled.

"Around six." Wow I really am up early.

I narrowed my eyes at him, "Then shouldn't you be asleep for like another five hours at least? Where even were you?"

The blonde chuckled and rubbed at his tired looking eyes. "Oh just that guy that came in, yeah, I'll tell you later." He said hastily, trying to avoid it then quickly went to the bathroom.

"Hey, w-wait," I stammered and grabbed his arm.

"What is it? I need to take a shower so unless—"

"Would it get any answers out of you?"

"Zelda!"

I hung my head back, "Why can't you just tell me!"

"Goddesses you're so stubborn. . ." He grumbled. "Why don't you go ask Drake or Zant."

"Link we are so not going there and don't try to change the subject!" I snapped and hit his chest. He rolled his eyes and smirked before shutting the door in my face. Oh the words I could call him right now. How do I even put up with this guy? Oh yes, I'm the stubborn one.

I paced for a bit before I heard the shower start and decided to harass him some more. I opened the door and strolled in and sat down on the sink counter. "Tell me."

He pulled back the curtain, revealing his face to look at me. "Zelda! Look you'll find out later!"He hissed.

"Oooor you could tell me now."

"Oh for fuck's sake. . ."

I laughed at his cute frustration. "I'm not leaving until you do!" I pestered him more. Oh this is too fun.

"You can find out later I said now stop!"

"LLLLLink, please!"

Then I remembered it isn't smart to do things like this to people who know your every weakness.

The Hylian pulled the curtain straight across and stepped out with one big taunting smirk on his face. "I'm sorry I didn't hear you. What did you want to ask me?"

Props to me for people the world's biggest prude. Where's my award? "A-Asshole!" I stuttered and practically flew off the counter and out the door. My face was definitely putting tomatoes to shame now.

After a few minutes of my mind going absolutely crazy he came out with a towel around him. A big grin was still plastered on his face. "I'm going to get b-breakfast." I spluttered.

He laughed, "I thought you were gonna stay here?"

I ignored him and scampered off in embarrassment. I'll just go find out myself what's going on. The hallways were surprisingly active with workers, but no one I actually recognized. I found my way to Ari's room and knocked on his door. Although we were close now, I wasn't taking any chances to just barge in.

I waited a while before the door finally opened. "Zelda, you uh, need something?" Ari asked looking very confused. It seemed like I had woken him up from a sleep he really needed. His eyes had noticeable dark bags under them and by the looks of it he didn't even change out of his clothing from yesterday.

"Ari no offense, but you look terrible." I exclaimed and he rolled his eyes at me.

"Yeah no shit," Ari complained and ran a hand through his awfully messed ash-gray hair. "Up all night."

So whoever it was kept everyone up it seemed. "Something to do with that visitor, perhaps?" I urged.

He narrowed his eyes at me. "What are you even doing up Zelda? Do you not know what time it is?"

I squeezed past him into his room. "I know, but I kind of wanna know what's up!" I say curiously and grin widely.

"It's too early, Zelda!" He growled and went back to his bed. "Go ask Link."

"I did and he keeps saying 'Oh you'll find out laterrrrr' so now I'm asking you!"

He huffed and picked up a pillow, burying his head under it. "Go awaaay!"

"Noooo!" I whined and grabbed the pillow. "Why won't you people tell me!"

"You're supposed to be sleeping in anyways—they wanted you to sleep in!"

"Why?!"

Ari let out a loud groan and clenched his fists. "You're not getting answers because nobody is going to tell you shit when you piss them off!"

"Blah, blah, blah," I mocked and headed for the door, "You're just a big baby."

He growled something else at me while I was shutting the door that I didn't catch and frankly, I didn't want to hear it. Something was up everyone's ass, that's for sure.

And I was going to find out what.
