A/N: Okay… so I've decided to put "Destiny or Fate" on Hiatus. Why? Because I suck at writing battle scene so I will put it on hiatus until I find a beta-reader who can help me with that. For now, I'm focusing myself on "Letter" and "Stay" AND "Simply Outstanding" – sequel of "You Know I Ain't Rich"

Oh yeah… about the sad-mitsu fanfic I'm planning… It's still… well… a plan.

INFO: Please bear with the errors for now; I was only corrected this with Office Word.

Letter

"An ordinary yet happy-go-lucky letter carrier has been told to send a special letter to an unknown mysterious someone. The receiver never showed the face and for the very first time, the new letter carrier made the receiver came out of the lair."

Alternate Universe • Itty-Bitty Angst • Romance • OOC-ness

"I j-just want to tell y-you…" Mio didn't mean it to be like this, she was starting to feel a little weird ever since Ritsu told her that she needs to go back home. Mio suddenly feel a little light-headed and she lacks her words worse than usual. She wonder if it's only her being nervous or is it because of the weird feeling she's having at the moment.

Maybe it's just nervous…

It might be because she was way past her bed-time that she's starting to feel weird. It bothers her a little that Ritsu must have feeling so confuse at her behavior. Mio was only going to say her 'thanks' and offer Ritsu if the brunette wants to sleep over at her place since it's midnight already. She feels her head beginning to spin around and she's feeling hot all over her body.

This is…bad.

"Hey," She heard Ritsu's voice and unable to react as she feels Ritsu's palm placed on her hand, holding it gently. She knew Ritsu was wondering what is happening and tries to look at Mio's face, but the dark-haired beauty seems a little uncomfortable showing her face to Ritsu. "Are you okay, Mio?" Ritsu questioned again, the second time she asked about Mio's well-being. While Mio can't really deal with talking – she knew she'd stutter worse than the previous one.

That is when Mio felt cold hands touching her cheek softly.

"God… You're burning hot, Mio…" Mio had to wince a little at the touch on her cheek, making Ritsu made that apologetic. Ritsu, on the other side, was not going to question about the thing Mio about to say, she was more worried about Mio's condition. "Um… Come on, I'll help you to get to your room." She offered, tugging Mio's hand with her. "Can you walk?" Ritsu is not really sure if Mio able to walk properly, she thought she should ask first before forcing Mio to do something she can't do.

Not long, Mio nodded slowly in reply. "M-my room…is upstairs." Saying this, Mio feels a little unsure if she can climb up the stairs normally in her current state. "I c-can't really –"

"I'll help you. Just hold on to me."

Ritsu flashed Mio that reassuring smile and so they made their way to Mio's room. It wasn't hard, until they met the stairs. It's not really that long of stairs, but surely it will need efforts to get up there while having to hold a certain someone. Ritsu finally thanked Mugi for those time she asked the brunette to work-out and do morning jog – it sure pays off at times like this. Mio, on the other side, was more worried about herself.

Maybe… I should wake one of them… Just in case…

"You can j-just leave me h-here." Mio said, getting out of Ritsu's arm and standing by her room's door, facing Ritsu. She forces a smile at Ritsu and Ritsu didn't like it very much. "I'm sorry, I-I can't take y-you –" She was cut off with her cough, she has been holding it in and it seems a little impossible to hold it any longer now. She needs to get inside her room soon. "Ritsu, I need –" Another cough interrupted her, worse this time. She put a hand on her mouth and her other hand was trying to reach something to support her weight.

She failed when Ritsu caught her arm firmly, feeling even more worried. "H-hey, it's okay… Uh… Seriously, do you need any help? Do you want me to get your maid?" It's not a pleasant view for the brunette, she was worried sick and Mio is definitely so sick right now. Suddenly, Ritsu remembered something. "Oh god, is it because of the food?"

"N-no… It's –"

It became harder to talk and she feels like something scratching inside her throat, making it hard for her to talk. Ritsu was not a fast-thinker type, but she tend the follow her instinct in most situations. This time, her instinct told her to just ignore whatever Mio is saying and just put her on her bedroom, then get some of her maid to handle Mio. It was rude, Ritsu thought, but she had to do it. Mio couldn't protest as she felt her breathing slowly gets heavy when Ritsu bend down and is about to lift her body up with her arms.

As Ritsu lifts her up with all her might, Mio could only clench on Ritsu's clothing – holding for dear life. "Ritsu…" She weakly said with her half-lidded eyes.

The letter-carrier put Mio on the bed gently and put a blanket over her. "Stay put. I'll go get your maid." Mio could see how terrified Ritsu's face is – maybe it was worry but she knew Ritsu won't only feel worry after knowing how badly her condition is. Mio feels like crying, she don't want Ritsu to know this side of her.

She should just go back home… No, I shouldn't have hold her back.

It was way past twelve-thirty and Ritsu knew that since the last time she checked her hand-watch it shows twelve past a few minutes. She almost thought of not going back home for the night, but certain reasons told her to just go back home and she did. "Damn…" She cursed softly, trying to unlock her front door when she stopped knowing that the door is unlocked already. "Eh?"

She stepped inside her house, cautious. It's late at night, she texted Mugi to not bother herself coming tonight, she made sure she locked her house before leaving for work today. Ritsu could only process one reason: Robbery. She almost sigh in annoyance, it's such unfortunate for her to have this kind of situation after a certain incident she went through an hour ago. She walks in tip-toes, holding an umbrella which was placed nearby the front door – it's for self-defense – she was scanning her living room and goes to the kitchen, which is connected with the living room.

Drap… Drap…

She heard footsteps from the bathroom. "Shit… Still here?" She made her way to the bathroom nearby her room, but a soft yet familiar voice calls out her name.

"Ricchan?" The voice said, follows by a figure of a beautiful blonde-haired girl walking out from the bathroom.

"Ah, Mugi… You're here… I thought, I texted you…" Her voice trails off as she look Mugi pulling her hand up, holding her cell phone. Ritsu sighs in relief, it was her friend all along. "Geez… You could at least turn on the lights. I thought some robber pick-locking into my house." Ritsu put the umbrella on the table in the living room. "Thank god I didn't hit you with that." She said, plopping herself on the couch.

Giggling cutely, Mugi pressed the switch to turn on the light in the living room. "Sorry, Ricchan… I just got back from a party and just realized I forgot something." She explained, plopping herself next to the brunette.

"So, you left it at my house. Mm… It's not like you to be a forgetful kind of girl."

"I was in a rush when I came this morning. I need to come visit a few music stores."

"Fine, fine…"

Mugi frowns, her friend looks a tired and she knew it probably just work. But something else is bugging her, aside from tired, Ritsu looks a little troubled – worried. "It's rare you're back from work this late, Ricchan." True, Mugi knew Ritsu's work hour is not as long as 24-hour. So seeing Ritsu just got back this late, something must happened.

"Well… Remember that time when I said I'll be staying at my friend's house?"

"What about her? Did you have a fight or something?"

"Not really, I just got back from her house. That's all."

"I see…"

The blonde girl knew enough from that. Although she spotted something off, she knew from how Ritsu answer her that she doesn't want to share anything more than that. Then she remembered at the time Ritsu told her about that girl, the girl similar to her friend back then. They weren't good friends, but they have some things in common. She starts to frown at the thought.

Maybe, she should just ask Ritsu to make sure. "Ne, Ricchan…"

"Yeah…?" Ritsu replied lazily, her back and head were laying against the couch, relaxing herself.

"That girl, you already knew her name, right?"

"Oh," Ritsu rose up her head from the couch and stretches. "Yeah. Her name's Akiyama Mio."

Mugi seems calm, even though she was pretty taken aback that her guess was true. It's almost like it had been arranged this way – the way her old friend and Ritsu met and how Ritsu seems to somehow attach to this girl. She smiles imagining how cute the two will be if they'll ever be together as more than friends.

"Here" She came back to reality realizing that her friend was offering her a box of tissue. "I know what you're thinking Mugi… Stop your bleeding nose." Mugi mutters a silent 'thank you' as she took a few tissues from the box Ritsu offered. She heard Ritsu sighs, "Sheeze, I don't even know if I swing that way and besides… Mio has a boyfriend already, it's pretty clear she don't swing that way." She finished, putting the box back to the table.

Wiping the blood on her nose, she couldn't help but frown. "Oh…" She never knew Mio got herself a boyfriend already. Mugi always thought Mio was fragile when it comes to something like…male. "I thought she's single…"

"Well, she is not."

"Do I know her boyfriend then?"

"I don't even know him…but I think I've seen him, though it was only a guess. I only met his butler a few times now and that's due to the job that requires me to. Honestly… I don't feel that good with her boyfriend – I mean, sure I haven't met him yet and I can't judge a book from its cover… but you know…"

"Hmm… but Ricchan, what do you mean by 'your job requires you to'?"

"Oh, well… I have been appointed to be Mio's personal letter-carrier and my job is to deliver her letters to his boyfriend and otherwise. Which is weird, now that I think about it again. She seems to only communicate with her boyfriend through…letters. They don't meet in person…" Ritsu messes her hair in frustration. The whole thing about Mio starting to rubbing off of her. "Geez… it's so weird… who uses letters to communicate? They're probably the only couple who does that." She added, feeling a little annoyed.

Mugi give her a knowing smile. "Maybe you should ask her that yourself?"

"Ah… No… We only met a few times now. Don't wanna scare her by asking many personal things." Last time she did, it made Mio accidentally cut her finger in surprise. Sighing again, she stood up from the couch and walks towards her bedroom. "I'll take a quick bath and knock myself out… Are you staying for the night?"

"Mm, it's late. So yeah…" Aside from saying that, she's still stay in her spot. "Ricchan?"

"Uh-huh?"

"You'll be seeing her again?"

Ritsu made a thoughtful face before answering. "Of course, she's interesting."

Stay will still on-going and hopefully ended in the 25th chapter.
