I'm having a nightmare,
Wake me up, hurry

:-:

Droite gasped when Gauche shook her awake with a million questions and concern in his eyes.

"Are you okay?" he asked urgently when her eyes blinked open, sleep still hazing her perception, but she could tell his body was over hers, his knees on either side of her waist. His arms were holding her up, helping her rest against the headboard of her bed while her sheets pooled around her waist. The warmth that radiated off of him kept her from shivering.

Her hand came up to touch her forehead and she bowed her head so he wouldn't see her eyes welling up. "I'm fine," she said, voice raspy and broken. "I just had a nightmare, I'm okay."

Gauche's brow furrowed. "No you're not. You were screaming."

"I'm… fi—"

A tear fell and Gauche immediately brought his hand to her face, his calloused thumb wiping the rest away as he lifted her chin so she'd at least look at him. "What was it about?"

"Nothing," she said a little too quickly.

"Droite," he said, suddenly a serious look in his eyes replacing the concern. "Tell me. We're partners, we share things. That's what partners do."

She sighed, her eyes daring to glance into his before falling back to the sheets that she clutched in her hands like a lifeline. "It was nothing." Her voice was weak and sad and everything that she was trying not to be but was.

"It was not nothing."

"Gauche, please," she begged.

He sighed, a rough exhale that made her bangs tickle her nose. "Alright, have it your way, but if you ever need me—"

"Stay with me?" The words were out of her mouth before she could think about them and her eyes widened a fraction.

"Alright."

She relaxed as he climbed into bed beside her, and when he was settled, she slid back down, her head laying back down on her pillow. "Thank you, Gauche."

"Not a problem," he whispered to her as he pulled her closer. "Let's try and get some sleep now."

Author's Note:

So there were a few things that I was planning on doing with this oneshot, but decided against because it would have basically added Anxietyshipping to what's supposed to be Proctorshipping. So if anyone's actually wondering what her nightmare was about, it was Kaito being in danger and her not being able to help him out of it.

If I added that in... well, tension between the two would've happened and Gauche is kind of sitting on top of her legs and they're really physically close, so things wouldn't have gone over very well... ahaha... So I cut that out because awkward and made Droite just plain outright refuse to tell Gauche what it was.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed! Review if you wish :)
