Summary: After the Doctor set Gallifrey aflame, he entered the Tardis dying out of guilt and loneliness. The Tardis comforts him with a lullaby.

Tears streamed down the Doctor's face as he stumbled in the Tardis. The old girl, feeling her thief's pain, moved into the time vortex. The Doctor was too grief stricken by the loss of his people and the emptiness in his head to notice.

The Doctor shut his eyes tightly, biting his lip to stop a sob from escaping his lips. The gesture was futile, for he cried for all he was worth. He was guided to his room by the Tardis, the fake moon and stars that he'd see on Gallifrey tore at his heart. He fell to his knees on the carpet made to look like the grass of his childhood.

What used to be his sanctuary became his guilt driven nightmare, as flashes of a burning Gallifrey and screaming time lords flashed from his memory. The Last of the Time wars had ended in death. Everyone he had known, dead… all because of him. He curled up in a ball, as tightly as he could, rocking back and forth.

The Doctor screamed in frustration and sadness as he burst with gold flames, wishing to stop the pain, never wanting to experience anything like it again. As the light faded it revealed a burly, chiseled man, anger and bitterness radiating from him. His cold, piercing blue eyes, soldier like hair and demeanor perfected his look.

The Doctor stopped his tears and left the room, deadlock sealing it as he headed to the wardrobe. He put up mental and emotional barriers as he changed into a dark maroon jumper, back jeans, shoes and leather jacket.

He went to the console room, setting the coordinates to London 2005. Tracking down the Nestine Consciousness ruthlessly, leading him to a department store. He charged in with a bomb, not caring if he would be caught in the explosion, the Tardis still singing softly.
