It's morning. It's another day.

I felt the rush of cool breeze beneath my skin. Yes, this atmosphere is almost perfect for a guy who's always studying and working at the same time. Workaholic they say? Perhaps.

I proceeded. As I go in the glass green house, my friends stared at me. Tadashi grinned. Akira scowled at me and focused her attention elsewhere (somewhat looking for someone). Jun smiled. Megumi wrote "Hello Kei!" in her sketchpad and Ryuu welcomed me.

I sat down, opened my laptop, and continued working again. I have to finish the files that my father requested me to do so he could hand it on time. Akira moved closer, conveyed something that I didn't hear and put down a cup of tea in front of me. After awhile, I felt a gush of wind, perceived a sound, and suddenly the glass door opened..

"Hiiikaaariii!" I heard Akira screamed amusingly.

As I heard her name, my mind wandered, as usual.

Hikari. Who's Hikari? Rank number two in Hakusenkan. A daughter of a carpenter. She treats me as her rival. A friend of ours. Part of Special A. She's always enthusiastic, she loves challenges. A cheerful and energetic girl. Really plain and simple.

But.. If you ask me, who's Hikari Hanazono, for Kei Takishima?

A daughter of a carpenter? I think she's a carpenter too: the only carpenter who can build and fix my heart. Rival? You gotta be kidding me. It's the opposite. She's the only person I loved since then. A friend? Deep down for me she's more than that. Part of Special A? I say that she's the best part of Special A. The way she entered this glass greenhouse awhile ago already completed my day. Whenever she's enthusiastic, I get excited as well. Cheerful and energetic? She cheers me up, and she's the source of my energy every single day. Really plain and simple? She amazes me. She's extraordinary. She's the most beautiful girl alive.

She loves challenges? I'm thinking if I can challenge her to love me back.

Rank number two? Yeah. In Hakusenkan only. If only you knew, Congratulations Hikari, you're rank 1st in my heart.

"Takishima!"

I looked up and suddenly it's like waking up from a daydream. Wow. I began to ponder as to why I didn't hear what Akira uttered awhile ago, but I heard her. The way she calls my name is like hearing the words, "I love you too" from her mouth.

"What do you want? Ni-san?" I responded shrugging off my foolish thoughts.
"Err! Stop calling me that." I just smirked, she's just too cute.

"With that expression of yours, I really don't know what's on your mind. And oh, you're preoccupied again, busy with that laptop."
"What's on my mind?"
"Yes Takishima. What's on your mind?"
"You." I answered her honestly.

"Stupid! But seriously though, I challenged you yesterday and it seems that you're really not frightened at all eh?" I grinned then laughed.
"Takishima! You idiot! I don't know if you take me and my challenges seriously. I just wonder if I ever cross your mind about this."
"No.." This answer made me come back into the daydream I had.

"Oh! I'm sorry! But I am very confident that I can beat you today! Ha! Don't forget the challenge." She ran. Akira ran after her. The others just smiled because they're used to it and continued with what they were doing.

I sat back comfortably and typed. My mind wandered as before. If I could just rewind the moment, and rephrase what she said..
"Takishima, do I ever cross your mind?"

"No.."
"Oh I'm sorry!"
"No, Hikari. You stay on it. You're always on my mind."
