Chapter 11

DISCLAMIER: I don't own Naruto.

Hello! Hello! Hello! I'm officially back from soooo long vacation! But hey don't think I abandoned you and left without finishing this work. No way! My health and personal life drag me to be disconnected for awhile but I kept reading your comments so I tried to recover and once again write for all of you. I know it's been a while and some of you forget about this already, but I SINCERELY APOLOGIZE for not keeping in touch with you guys. This is for all of you ^^

Tenten never leave Hinata about spilling the beans with the real score between her and their big boss. She wanted to talk about everything to her best friend, but that was not the best time to open up since she was still confused. Aside from bombarded questions from Tenten their lunch went smoothly.

"Well, I won't force you this time Hinata-chan. It's obvious that you're confuse and all." Tenten sincerely said while smiling at her.

"Wha-what do you mean confused? I'm not." Hinata defensively said while blushing all over her face like a tomato ripe.

Tenten moved closer to her and whispered, "You can deny it, but your face seems telling the opposite."

Hinata blinked and faced her.

"Hinata-chan, it's not wrong to fall in love again and be happy with other man aside from Naruto. Things will never happen the way you wanted."

Hinata sighed, "All I want right now, is someone who tell me how lucky he is to have someone like me."

Tenten laughed and blinked at her, "Believe me. You already found that guy." She gestured to stand and they proceeded to their workplace.

"Thank you Tenten-chan," She didn't know why, but somehow it was right to thank her friend about those words of hope.

Meanwhile, Sasuke was interfered by unexpected visitor.

"I guess you got the wrong floor." He calmly said without looking at her.

Sasuke like usual was always on the road of paper works and computer related documents whenever his secretary was out of his sight.

Still on the face of his computer while holding some files, he noticed his visitor sauntered towards him. Only his huge desk was on their way to be so close to each other.

"Sasuke." She alluringly said his name as her greetings.

"Sakura." He stoically returned the greetings.

She chuckled, "Cold as always, huh."

"As I said you got the wrong floor, Sakura. I'm busy." Still not looking at her.

"Busy to what? Or should I say to 'whom'?" She sternly asked, but her face showed an angelic smile.

Sasuke glared at her. "Hn."

She laughed and comfortably sat in front of his desk, "Why so serious?! Hey, come on I just came here to talk."

"Then talk."

She pouted, "You never changed Sasuke-kun. Do you also talk to her like this?"

He frowned without saying anything.

She chuckled, "You don't?"

"Leave my private life, Sakura." He firmly said to her.

She was used to his coldness ever since, but as long as she could talk to him like this, it was already satisfying to confirm he didn't hate her. And that their friendship was still intact like before.

"So you consider her to be part of your private life, huh?" She asked while smiling at him.

"What exactly did you came here for?" He was not pissed yet his voice seemed to be irritated.

"Woah! Relax Sasuke. I just want to know if the rumors are true between my beloved friend and his own secretary. That's all." Sakura beaming to assure her purpose in coming here.

Sakura Haruno, the only girl Sasuke considered as a friend, was irrevocably in love with him since their childhood life. She met him sitting in the corner while Naruto pestering him in joining to play with them.

She couldn't remember if that was love at first sight, but what she knew was how this guy covered by beauty at the same time a god-like aura. Ever since then, she tried to join in and formed a circle of friends with them.

She never stopped loving him despite of the cold treatment he gave to her. But as time goes by, she noticed a change. He could already tolerate her presence until they both felt comfortable together as friends.

But Sakura never satisfied with just being a friend. She was always hungry for a deeper relationship with him. She always confessed and showed how she truly loves him, but he always distant himself.

The most painful part to hear was not the rejection itself.

Hearing that the only man you ever love was only seeing you as his little sister no matter how many times she confessed and did everything to make him yours was the most painful part of unrequited love.

The worst was not knowing that the girl you never considered as your rival is actually the woman whom Sasuke is in love with.

Hinata, the angelic-face and kind-hearted woman, was only set her eyes to the man who was in love with Sakura, Naruto. She never imagined Sasuke would fall to such simple girl who only see Naruto as her only man.

Hinata was like a woman who only exist because of Naruto's presence. Just like her before, she only exist to make Sasuke fall in love with her, but things never remained the same. She got tired and gave up or that what she thought it should be.

After hearing those rumors and speculations, her desire to him once again awakens by jealousy.

"Sasuke, tell me. Do you really love her?" Out of the blue, the atmosphere between them was intense as she asked him those question.

Her eyes were covered by her silky pink bangs that was hardly to notice if she was about to cry or not.

Sasuke looked at her without saying any words. He truly care Sakura very much. She was a kind of woman he could tolerate the irritating loudness and persistent attitude towards him.

She was precious and important. But those feelings were only be part of being a sister-like to him. He couldn't think of her as anything but a sister. He felt sorry about this, but he also didn't want her to get hurt.

"Sakura, I…"

Knock. Knock, knock

The subject of their conversation went in without looking at them.

"Excuse me sir Uchiha, but the advertisement report you want is here. Oh S-Sakura-chan!" Hinata was surprised as she looked and realized that she was there. She bowed her head to greet her.

It was really unexpected to see her alone with Sasuke. This feeling was somewhat very alarming to Hinata without knowing the business why she came here without any notice in her boss's schedules.

She moved forward to give the report files to her boss.

"Well, it seems you're really busy Sasuke-kun. Why not let's have dinner together in same place and same time. I mean with Naruto, of course. It's been a while, you know." Sakura enthusiastically invited him.

Sasuke reached the report files to Hinata as he looked at Sakura. He thought of the invitation carefully as he smirked.

"Why not as long as Hinata will come." He focused his gaze at his secretary who is now looking confused at what they were talking about.

Sakura clenched her jaw, but didn't showed her irritation, "Well then, it's settled. I have to go now."

"B-but- Sakura-chan…" Hinata wanted to protest but she was interrupted.

"Oh why Hinata-chan, are you going to refuse your own boss?" Sakura winked at her and stood from her seat to move closer to where Sasuke was.

"It's not like that, but…" Hinata was then again cut-off as she saw Sakura reached Sasuke to kiss him on the cheek without embarrassment.

Hinata diverted her eyes on the side while totally blushing.

Embarrassment or jealousy? Her inner thought suddenly asked her.

"See you later, Sasuke-kun." Sakura smilingly said after she kissed Sasuke in front of Hinata.

Sakura walked away, but stopped as she got close to Hinata and smiled at her, "Don't worry. It's normal for us to say goodbye like that." And she continued to walk towards the door.

Hinata remained dumbfounded as she was still looking at the side.

"Cancel my appointment at 7pm onwards." Sasuke suddenly said to interrupt her confused mind.

She gulped and faced her boss still trying to compose herself. "Y-yes."

"You can go if you don't have anything to say." Sasuke turned his chair to face the serenity behind his glass wall without waiting her respond.

Hinata felt hurt and unwanted with the cold treatment of her boss right now. She used to this treatment before. This was never a bother to her since she understood that this is usual to him. But this time was different, it was like stabbing her heart multiple times with sadness and rejection.

"I-I understand sir." She bowed her head even he was not looking and went away to his office.

Sasuke gritted his teeth as he close his eyes. "Damn."

He might be a genius billionaire, but sometimes he consider himself as idiot when it comes to his feelings. How could he possibly let his two closest friends accept the woman in his life when in fact they were already against it in the first place?

He never experience this before, letting your girl avoid those jealous eyes towards your friend is out of his formula in his own problem solving. The only way he know was to keep Hinata by his side once he admitted his true feelings to Naruto and Sakura.

He didn't want to ruin his friendship with the people he considered as siblings, but he also definitely won't give up Hinata.

Not anymore.

The atmosphere was surrounded with a black aura coming from a certain secretary who is on the counter desk while typing like a zombie.

This is not good; first, my work is a mess and I can't concentrate.

Second, my boss kissed me and I'm not sure how to feel about it.

Third, Sakura-chan seems to hate me.

Forth, Sasuke-kun insisting to join him in their supposedly get together with his best friends. Worst is; it's Naruto-kun and Sakura-chan.

She felt so down not knowing what to do. It was already 6:30 in the evening and anytime soon they would proceed to the dinner date.

Dinner date?! She flushed and shook her head. She hated it when she think about something stupid.

"You okay?" Sasuke sincerely asked her as he walked towards her counter desk.

"I-I uhm yeah. I'm fine." She really tried not to feel embarrass as she smiled at him.

"You look exhausted." He coolly stated but an obvious concern was visible in his voice.

Now is my chance. She inwardly thought to herself.

"W-well I guess I am. So I have to go now to rest. See you tomorrow." She rapidly gathered her things as she spoke and walked passed through her own boss without looking straight at him.

She almost pressed the button of the elevator when a bigger hand reached the button first. She felt his body on her back. His lips was so close to her left ear and she could already feel his breath.

She gulped and her heart suddenly beats faster.

"Do you think you can escape from me?" He whispered on her ears so seductively.

"W-what are you talking about?" She tried herself not to stutter at this moment, but her faced betrayed her as it was turned into tomato red.

Sasuke grinned, "Dinner date with those two idiots." He reminded her still whispering like they shared some secrets.

"A-ah y-yeah about that o-of course I remember. But l-like w-what you said I-I'm already e-exhausted. So y-you can g-go a-alone." She failed to speak normally right now since lying wasn't her expertise.

Sasuke chuckled, "Trying so hard to make a fat lie excuses huh?" He moved backward as the elevator opened.

He grabbed her elbow and assisted her to enter the elevator. "Let me assist you Ms. Hyuga since you're exhausted, right?"

Sasuke was now enjoying the little teasing session with her.

On Hinata's view, it was more like dragging than assisting. Trouble. Damn you, boss.

"S-sir… I-I mean Sasuke-kun. My presence doesn't matter you know. You can have fun with them. I'll just be a pain in the ass and might be troubled you." She uttered with embarrassment.

"If you're a pain, I shouldn't accept the invitation with you. But you're not, so we are going together."

"B-but she said…"

"Are you afraid Hinata? Seeing them together?" He challengingly asked her.

She faced him not knowing what to say.

Sasuke sighed, "Fine, I'll just ride you home if you really don't want to."

Hinata gripped her both hands and gazed at the floor, "I'll go with you."

Sasuke looked at her, "You sure about that?"

She gulped and glanced at his direction, "I guess it's the right time to face them both."

He smirked and patted her head, "Good girl. Now let's go." He reached her hand as they walked alone in the parking lot.

It's like my little girl is finally ready to move on.
