I wasn't always crazy about the Superboy/M'gann pairing, but I felt sad. Now, I really want them to be together. Plus, new season is messing me up. And these ideas about love are my own.

Dick was searching everywhere for Conner after he heard the news from Zatanna. Well, not everywhere because he knew his friend and found him easily in the training room.

He was mercilessly beating on the punching bag. Dick took in his demeanor and hoped that he would be rational enough to talk to. According to Zatanna, Conner and M'gann had ended their relationship on good terms. To him that meant she broke up with Conner and inside he was confused.

Dick stood there, waiting for an acknowledgement from Conner. Conner slowly lost his momentum, laying down his fists before turning to him.

He stoically asked, "Is it possible for someone to fall out of love?" Dick was conflicted about how to answer his friend. Pushing back his hair, he formed his answer, "People fall in love all the time Supey. You know that."

"So, people stop loving someone just as easily?"

"No, no dude." Dick sighed, "Sometimes they find out that what they thought was love-wasn't. Really, it wasn't enough to last. People get so excited by the physical, but eventually they get to know each other. Sometimes, even after many years, they realize that aren't happy in that relationship." Dick studied Conner's face to no avail. He betrayed none of his inner emotions.

"So, falling out of love…I don't think it's possible. No, you always remember what you shared and the emotions you had."

"Then why break up when you know they still feel that way and they know you do?"

"That's a hard question Conner. I don't think forgetting your feelings for someone is possible, but yes, sometimes people lose that connection and move on. Because…love isn't enough to keep a relationship alive sometimes." Dick shouldn't have been surprised when Conner turned around and slammed his fist into the punching bag, sending it flying. He was grateful that it wasn't directed at him.

He tentatively put at hand on his friend's shoulder. "Conner, M'gann loves you." He whipped around and shouted, "Then why is she giving up on us! Why! I love her? We went through so much together! We…we spent years together! I don't understand!" Dick tried not to recoil from the onslaught of anger.

"She does Conner, but people change. People grow up. Sometimes when you're young…you're not always the same person when you get older."

"I am. She's the reason why I was able to become who I am."

"Supey, you two have been together basically since we found you. Give it some time. You'll be fine. Don't let this destroy all that you've accomplished." He left, leaving Conner alone. "She's all I've ever really known."
