Yep. Another challenge-prompted-one-shot. I promise I'll get around to write one that isn't from a challenge. But anyways, the prompt is about an Avenger eating a sandwich. I decided to go for a little!Steve eating a PB&J. I also found it fit him since in the movie, the senator mention "Get that kid a sandwich" when he saw how small Steve looked.

I own nothing except the plot...somewhat.

A peanut butter and jelly sandwich was the pastime sandwich in its group. It was desired by most children in the world, along with a cold glass of milk, and Steve wasn't any exception, Jan mused as she rumaged through the kitchen.

Sitting across from her on one of the bar stools was the seven-year-old Steve, watching her with wide, blue eyes. Jan smiled at him as she took out a knife and began to spread the peanut butter on the slice of bread. She found it cute how Steve had come up to her earlier that day and asked if she could make him a PB&J. Jan was more than happy to make the little boy the sandwich (also ignoring the calls from Tony and Clint for a sandwich).

He sat obediently and quietly, not wanting to disrupt her work. Jan smiled at him as she switched to the grape jelly and began to spread that over the other slice. Once both slices were evenly distributed, she placed them together and placed it on a paper plate while pouring some chips onto the plate next to the sandwich. She grabbed a glass and poured milk into it. She pushed the glass and the plate towards the little boy.

Steve muttered a shy thank you and immediately took a bite into the sandwich. Jan smiled and leaned her arms agains the edge of the island, watching him and making sure he ate all of it (he was much too skinny for her tastes). After taking another bite into the food, he made an appreciative sound.

"It is very delicious, ma'am," Steve said politely.

Jan smiled, "Oh, you're so sweet."

Steve blushed lightly and went back to eating, trying to avoid Jan's eyes. Jan just found it adorable.
