Barnaby was in a bad mood that day. Worse than usual, even. And that was saying a lot. Even so, he was normally one to keep his brooding thoughts inside on his bad days and seclude himself from other people. Barnaby may have been easily angered, but he understood when it was appropriate to be mad in public and when it was not. And with a job like his, it was very rarely alright. Every moment was spent perfecting his public image, even to the other heroes. There was never an instance when a camera might not be watching and he could let his guard down.

Barnaby knew what was appropriate, but he rarely utilized that knowledge. If the blonde had a single issue, that issue was related to anger management, and as much as he hated to make scenes, there were times when it simply couldn't be helped.

It was just one of those days.

Sky High had once again passed him in point standings, and to Barnaby, it was simply unacceptable when anyone beat him at anything. And to make it worse, the hero had gone on and on about nothing but the citizens of Sternbild and the safety of the city and how it was imperative to the city's camaraderie that the people have heroes to rely on and all of it just made Barnaby sick.

There was no appeal in helping people, not when the human race was so depraved and birthed people who would murder.

The other heroes, especially Keith, were only able to look on with concern and sadness as Barnaby stormed from the locker room, denting Keith's locker with his fist on the way out.
