ENJOY!
You and I? No way!
Chapter nine
Vegeta watched as his family were sparring together along with the whole feast taking place. Many children who had seen Chi Chi fight and were taught that humans are weak were all mesmerised by her. They wouldn't stop pestering her about her moves and her strength. Chi Chi just smiled at them all, and giving them little training tips and showing them what they were doing wrong.
Trunks and Goten even had their own fair share of fangirls as well, claiming that if their mum was strong and their father was Prince Vegeta who was a super Saiyajin, then they must be extremely strong. Trunks took this to his head, having Vegeta's blood run through him, while Goten scratched the back of his head, eyes shut in laughter just like Goku would do.
Vegeta stood next to his father and he could notice the difference with his height even more now. He was up to his father's chest and because the King was a good 7 inches taller than Goku, that meant that he was most probably somewhere around Goku's height by now. King Vegeta gave his son a brief smile and Vegeta returned it with his own. His father was the only one he could ever love and trust ever since his mother died. He was starting to show his soft side now that Chi Chi is in the picture too.
"Son, did you notice your mate's aura? It looked as though she was close to becoming a super Saiyajin of some sort. Are you sure she's a full human? No form of Saiyajin blood within her?" Prince Vegeta nodded his head, but he still kept his eye on Chi Chi, watching her teach the children. She was human as far as he was concerned, but her mannerisms were not. Her pride, her anger and her strength would show signs of being a Saiyajin and right now, he wasn't so sure what he should believe. If there had been some sort of blood test that would show that she was of Saiyajin heritage, he wouldn't be surprised.
"Yes, she is fully human because I doubt that there are any records of having someone sent to Earth, since the first and last person was Kakarot, Bardock's son. Speaking of which, where is that man? He was revived as well, wasn't he?" The King pointed and away away, there he was, talking with other people around him. His ki had increased and Vegeta could tell that he was no longer a third class Saiyajin, but was in fact most probably a first class. It was clear that because of this, Goku was more likely to have been strong because of this.
"Maybe it's because I mated with her and it meshed well. Remember father, our kind have never mated with a human before and trust me, if you saw her back on Earth, you would have well and truly believed that she is a real Saiyajin. Her pride and her strength far exceeds anyone else's on that weak planet. Maybe some of my power was sent through to her and because she's naturally strong, she was able to become a temporary super Saiyajin. That and she's with child."
Vegeta couldn't help but speak good things about his mate. It was truly exciting and she made him feel alive. If it were Bulma, he wouldn't have given a rat's arse about how she felt or he wouldn't have never said anything good about her, other than the fact that she rebuilds the GR. Chi Chi was his prized mate and he would be damned if he didn't say anything good about her.
King Vegeta nodded his head. "Well you know what they say, a strong child protects their mother from danger when they feel her in distress. It's clear that the child will be a boy. Chi Chi must be extremely strong for the baby to start protecting her this early in the pregnancy. I will never forget when your mother was pregnant with you. She used to throw the mlap trees around."
Prince Vegeta raised an eyebrow when his father said that and who knows, maybe it will be. Chi Chi had some luck with only producing boys and not that Vegeta doesn't mind that, but he wanted to be the one to please Chi Chi even more and be able to have a girl with her as well. If Goku wasn't able to do that for her, then he was going to be the opposite of what the buffon was. Unlike him, if he died and Chi Chi wished for him to come back to life, he would accept it. If she needed his attention and loving care, he would give it to her. If she needed him to be angry at someone, then they would feel his wrath. He would have to go to hell and back, fight Cell and Frieza before hurting Chi Chi. That he had just decided.
"If only the baby was strong enough to save her from the curse."
King Vegeta sighed and patted his son's shoulder. Vegeta somehow had gotten over himself and unlike before where he would shrug him off, he actually didn't mind it. He had realised that his father was the only one he had from his past as his brother was on some other planet. He might not have cried when his father was killed by Frieza, but he really felt hurt when he died. Now that he was here, he was going to enjoy the presence of his father until the day he would leave him again, but only because of old age, not because of some crazy tyrant like Frieza.
"It's a curse Vegeta, the only ones that can break it is us. We're the ones who got our unsuspecting wives into this mess. We need to take responsibility of our past to sort out our future. We're Vegeta men! Now, why are we on this depressing subject? Go and meet your mate for her exceptional victory! I must go and talk with Bardock and about this new power of his."
Both men went their own separate ways and he went back to Chi Chi. He was still curious about her power and how she was able to tap into some power of the super saiyajin, when she was a human and other saiyajins couldn't even do it themselves. Oh well, that was to be discussed another day. Right now, he was going to enjoy the victory of his mate.
~x~
Just like he had said in his mind link, Vegeta had gone and kept Chi Chi up all night, knowing fully well that she deserved it. They lay there in their sweat as they were both panting, Chi Chi's breathing heavier than Vegeta's. His arms were wrapped around her as she lay her head on his chest. They both had a smile on their faces.
"You really went all out today. Did I deserve it that much? Me, a simple human?"
Vegeta let out a gruff laugh as Chi Chi mocked Choca and it made Chi Chi laugh along with him. "It was the best I could reward you with. Your stamina is also very good right now."
"If I had enough strength, I would hit you right now. Sex isn't a form of training, so don't feel like whenever I'm in the GR by myself that you can come and 'help' me build up my stamina." Vegeta smirked as Chi Chi gave him a fake and playful glare and he rolled his eyes in exasperation.
"Dammit Harpy, how did you know that that was what I was going to do?" She kissed his cheek and tapped her nose before falling silent once more.
"Harpy?"
"Chibi?" Vegeta paused when he heard that nickname being introduced once more. He counted to five before carrying on and Chi Chi couldn't help but smirk, knowing fully well that it still angered him slightly, even if he was growing. He was still shorter than the average man.
"Did you feel some sort of power surge run through you in the fight? Did your mate bite pulse at any time?" Chi Chi looked up at him with a small frown on her face. What was he talking about? Was he now doubting her skills on being able to defeat Choca, only by using a power surge?
"Why, what did you see?"
"It looked like you were about to go super saiyajin on her."
That shut the Princess up in a heartbeat. She hadn't at all expected for him to say something like that. Was that even possible? She wasn't half saiyajin like the three kids are, therefore she should not have been able to tap into the power, whether she had been marked or not. Her hand reached for the mark.
"I did feel something rise up from here, but also from my stomach, as though the baby had gone super saiyan themselves and was trying to protect me. Are you sure you saw it? Like the little bit of lightning, the yellow aura, my eyes?"
"Yes, yes, though it wasn't a full change of course. You were flickering. Your hair flickered maybe 3 times, but your eyes were flickering green the whole time through. And yes, it's said that when there's a strong baby being born, then the baby will protect it's mother out of glee, if the mother is feeling threatened, or if the mother too wants to protect them. Now, this Amazon tribe, explain more about it to me. The name sounds familiar."
Chi Chi gave him a sheepish look. "I don't really know anything about the tribe, but my mother is while my father was definitely a part of the giant tribe. You see, the Amazons are actually an all female tribe and they're cold blooded warriors. It's said that they're basically immortal until killed. They can't die from any disease or any poison, it has to be a blow to the head or the heart that finishes them off. My father told me when I was younger that my mother took an arrow to the head and that's how she died."
She yawned which was contagious because soon enough, Vegeta was yawning as well. That was most certainly interesting. He had never heard of an all female warrior clan. It could explain why Chi Chi's strength levels are so high. Either way, he would ask his father in the morning. Maybe there was something in the system that was on females on Earth. Maybe Freiza hired them or something. Not like that mattered right now, he just wanted to sleep by the one he loves.
~x~
"Where are you going?"
Vegeta finished his look by adding his cape and looking at his wife who was also rising up from the bed. Usually, she would choose to lay about at this time of the morning and she would barely be awake when she tells him good morning and kisses him before the day began. That's how it was with them, with all his royal duties.
"I've decided that instead of sleeping in till late and becoming lazy, I should train the young children of the capital. Seeing as the Saiyajins are a barbaric and warrior race, I've come to see some major floors in their training. Most of them fight with power, not really knowing where to aim and that was Choca's problem. I was smarter than her, much smarter than her and obviously stronger. It's my trump. If these children can use their power and their brain, a tyrant like Frieza can never again come and take over the race!"
She looked into Vegeta's eyes as he froze when she spoke. She actually did have a point. It was said that his family were on the same intellectual level as the Truffle's as much as he wanted to deny that. It meant that if Saiyajins were able to formulate real plans, they would be indestructible. He smirked at his mate for thinking about a planet that she wasn't raised on and Chi Chi blushed.
"Well, it sounds like you have your whole day planned."
"I do. What about you? Sitting through more meetings?"
"Well that's for the first half of my day and then I decided I would come back early. I have something to do."
Chi Chi raised her eyebrow. He hadn't given anything away in their mate link and it didn't sound like he was talking about her surprisingly, which made her all the more curious. She slipped out of the bed and stretched a little bit before padding over to the bathroom.
"Oh yeah, and what's that?"
"I was thinking that...maybe I could...bond with Goten."
He mumbled the last part, almost as though he were ashamed to say that he would be doing so. Chi Chi still heard it and her face lit up that it made Vegeta blush and look away from her. She had thought that because Goten wasn't his child, he would never want anything to do with him, but this had just proved her wrong.
She ran over to him and jumped into his arms where he caught her. "I would kiss you right now, but I've got morning breath. You're so cute chibi, you know that?"
She got down and saw his cute scowl that he made when she called him a 'cute chibi'.
"I'm a Prince, not a cute chibi!"
"Aww, can't you be both?"
"I'm going."
"Love you!"
"Love you twice," he replied back and Chi Chi rolled her eyes with a small smile in place. Vegeta was really a changed man, unless this is how he's always been, but being on a planet where people look like his kind but are not must have been depressing. So maybe he shut himself out from the world. Then when he told her that he had fallen in love with her ever since he laid sights on her but she was taken by the only other Saiyajin on Earth, that must have made him even more bitter.
She sighed as she brushed her teeth. She couldn't deny that she loved Goku at some stage in her life, but Vegeta was just for her. She loved a bad guy who had a caring streak for the girl he loved. Chi Chi loved being that girl. She placed her hand on her stomach, smiling at how she was now bearing his child and because she wasn't Bulma, he was most probably going to be more involved with the child.
"You're going to have a loving mother and a father who is always there for you."
Goku was barely ever there. Sure, three years of Gohan's life passed with him there, but after that, it was just fight after fight after fight. He always had to move planets to train, as though Earth couldn't give him what he wanted and when it did, he never stayed close to home, but preferred going to another remote town or country where she will never get to see him. This was the opposite in Vegeta's case, deciding to even stay in the same house as with a woman he never loved, just for the sake of their son.
Chi Chi rinsed out her mouth and enjoyed the freshness of it all. She pouted when she realised she hadn't even given Vegeta his morning kiss and sighed. Yesterday had just been an amazing day. She enjoyed showing off her strength, showing that she was more than just a simple housewife, which is what many of Goku's friends thought of her.
She finished her shower and walked over to her wardrobe in her towel. She never thought that she was going to be a Princess again and yet here she was, Princess of not just a country, but of a whole planet! That was just amazing! And she used to think of the race as nothing but barbarians who just think of their stomachs, but now she felt like she fully fit into a place. It didn't matter if she wasn't acting ladylike because they liked to fight around here and being strong meant you were respected. She didn't have to feel embarrassed about not showing enough body because she was the Princess and her body was for Vegeta's eyes only. They valued the cost of having a mate around here. Infidelity didn't exist.
She slipped on a blue leotard that matched Vegeta's one back when he was on Earth, only hers was sleeveless. She added the armour and the white boots with the pointed gold end. She smiled before looking at herself in the mirror. She tied up her hair into a bun, just like when she had Goten, before bearing the royal family's crest on her breastplate. It was a broach that she had been given by the King at the celebration.
She swept out of the room to head down to the dining room to have some breakfast before she left. Many of the servants were surprised to see their Princess awake so early in the morning. They bowed their heads to her as she smiled and acknowledged each and everyone of them. She had taken the time to learn their names and faces so that she could call them by their names and not by anything else.
"I'll be heading out today to train some children. This will a daily thing now I should think. It seems my success against Choca has impressed the people and the children are fascinated to learn from a human! I think I will start with the capital before going all over."
"So would you like for us to provide food for the children as well, my Princess?"
"While I would like the children to eat, are you sure that you can all manage with so many children as well as you guys feeding yourself and the whole royal household? I don't want for there to be pressure on you guys. You need rest, no need to drop dead over making so much food."
The head chef laughed and shook his head. "My Princess, we live and work for this sort of thing everyday. Plus, do you know how many chefs the King has hired? We rotate each day in order to get that rest, trust me, it's not a problem."
Chi Chi thought about it before nodding her head and taking a sip of her orange juice. It seemed like a lifetime ago when she was able to order her servants around, not like she did it anyway. Her father taught her how to be a responsible young woman and she was able to fend for herself. Trunks and Goten were playing at the end of the table and Chi Chi grinned at them. She looked at Goten and smiled at the thought of Vegeta going to bond with him and have some father-and-son time. That means she should take Trunks.
"Trunks? Today, when your dad gets back in from his work, he's taking Goten out with him. That means it's just you and me left, is that okay?"
Trunks grinned and nodded his head. "Sure mum, I would love to hang out with you."
Sometimes it was hard to believe that these two boys were now 7 and 8. It just shows how much time flies by. They both came over to her and she ruffled both of their hairs, making the both of them complain but she saw the smiles on their faces, showing that they didn't mind the affection.
"I'm going to be training with a few children today, you know the ones from yesterday? Yeah, they'll be coming to the grounds. Maybe you guys both want to come and show them how it's done? Plus, you're two little super Saiyajins, you can show them what they should all be aiming for, right?"
"Ha, we're like the the second strongest people here! No one can beat us!"
Chi Chi laughed, hearing the pride that Trunks had in voice. He was his father's son alright. So proud and cocky. That was the true Saiyajin trait and Chi Chi was also guilty to say that she too had it within her as well. She was a little bit proud and hot headed at times. She remembered her conversation with Vegeta night before and she wondered about her mother's side of the family. She had come from the Amazon tribe, but the Amazon tribe had men before, until they were somewhat separated. The women had to fend for themselves and they were natural born warriors.
"Something doesn't seem right there..."
After her training, she was going to have to look around for some clues because she now had her suspicions that the Amazon tribe came from planet Vegeta.
~x~
Chi Chi was on the ladder in the library as she was peering through everything. Most of the old stuff was all written in Saiyajin-go which she was thankful that she could understand. If there was one thing that Goku had been able to teach her, it was the old archaic language of his mother tongue. That was one of the only things that she was happy she got from him. The other were her two precious sons. Goku never loved her and while she did, it then faded once he died that first time. He was so obsessed with the fights. At least Vegeta didn't go and die recklessly.
She grabbed some book without looking at it properly and flew off the ladder. She hovered up in the air as she read the book, using it as a way to practice and control her ki so that she could stay flying for longer periods of time.
As she flicked through the pages, she saw a bold title saying AMAZON WOMEN.
It caught her eyes as she flicked back to find the page. She read on, finding it intriguing. It turns out the Amazons were a proper tribe, the wildest of the Saiyajins. They were the strict ones who hadn't evolved and they were the main warriors. Frieza had been extremely scared of them, knowing that the golden ape, the super Saiyajin that he was so scared about came from the Amazon tribe, not from the ones who had decided to give into him. They isolated themselves from the whole planet and no one approached them. Only the ones who spoke Saiyajin-go were able to converse with them because they were that backward.
Frieza finally let his fear get the best of him and he arranged for the men to be captured and he sent all the females to Earth. She found a scrap piece of paper that had almost like a diary entry with all the signs, almost like hieroglyphics back in Egypt. She read it to herself.
Frieza has finally gotten a grip of his fear and he has sent our women to that weak planet full of our look alikes. Now he sends us men to isolation, but we no fight him off. We will give him satisfaction and make him think that he has us under his control, but we will come back. We will find a way to get at least one woman back on this planet and restore our name. Tuffles may curse us, but we stronger than any curse. WE AMAZON-SAIYAJINS!
That's where it ended as Chi Chi stared at it, sweat dripping down from her forehead. Her mother was from the Amazon tribe, the supposedly female only tribe that were full of the strongest people on Earth. It was easy to understand why they were immortal to humans because Saiyajins naturally had a long life force.
She dropped back to the floor to go and tell Vegeta all the good news. Also, the whole curse effect! It was so simple! Chi Chi wasn't going to be affected by the curse! Her Saiyajin side was more dominant than her human side, meaning that it shouldn't affect her at all. But there was the case of Trunks and Goten's future wives dying if she didn't put an end to it.
She ran out of the huge room and she grinned. If it were before, she would have never thought that Saiyajins would have had a library, thinking that they were too animalistic for that. Well these are her roots, she has to start embracing it.
She soon burst into the throne room, knowing that it was only going to be Vegeta in there with some advisors who were letting him know of the duties that he was going to have to start doing while his father was out and about. They looked back at the person who had interrupted them and they bowed down respectfully to the woman who easily beat up Choca. Chi Chi noticed Vegeta sit up straight in his throne as he watched her.
"I'm not disturbing you guys am I? I apologize."
The advisors shook their heads, a smile etched on their faces at the Princess's kindness. "It's okay, Princess. Please, we were just leaving. Tend to your mate before us. Prince Vegeta, when would you like to call us back?"
"Tomorrow should be fine. Until then." He beat his tail on the floor and they beat theirs as well before they started leaving. Chi Chi watched them all one by one and smirked at her mate as she fell into his lap where his arms trapped her there.
"You're a lot nicer to them."
"You're affecting me. That and the fact that there really is no need to be grumpy all the time." He kissed her neck and she sighed. That was when he noticed the old and tattered book in her hands and he pointed at it. "Some extra reading?"
"Yes, I needed to find about the Amazons. Read it for yourself."
He read the passage where she had kept her finger and his eyes widened, but he said nothing. Then she showed him the diary entry and when he finished, he sat back on his throne, his arms tightening around her body. Then he fell forward, hiding his face in her hair.
"So...there's a possibility that...you will live."
To Chi Chi, he sounded extremely hopeful and almost relieved. Chi Chi nodded and bit her lip. She had seen how distant the King gets whenever he was by himself or he thought that no one was watching him and there was no way that she wanted to see Vegeta like from King Kai's place, or wherever the Saiyajins go to in this side of the galaxy. The fact that the curse laid upon them had been so heavy that his mother hadn't been resurrected from the dragonballs goes to show that it wasn't a curse to be taken lightly at all.
"Yes Vegeta, I can live," she whispered to him and she felt his body shake, almost as though he was crying. She knew that if anyone was to walk through those doors, they were would be screwed because he wouldn't want for them to see his tears at all.
"Good, because you're my mate, a strong Amazon female. So that makes you half human, half Saiyajin."
"Yes."
"You know what this means right? We have to go and find where Freiza lock up the men so that we can get the Amazon males out of their isolation. Time to show them that their prophecy came true. I just hope that they don't want to mate with you. I'll have to kill them all."
Chi Chi laughed as she nodded and kissed his lips gently.
"When do we get going?"
"Well I still need to go and do something with Goten and there's the meeting with the advisors tomorrow. If it ends on time, we'll go tomorrow, if not, then we go the day after. How does that sound?"
"Sounds great. I will have to tell the children that there will be no classes as I will be going on a royal trip. I was thinking of making them more aware of energy without the scouter. After all, it was hard for you to start picking it up after you destroyed yours and had no way to get another one."
Vegeta growled when he thought back to Goku's power level at that point in time and was extremely disgusted. Now he didn't care about the guy, because if he had destroyed Earth when he was supposed to, Chi Chi wouldn't be in his arms today, so in some sick and weird way, he owed it to the oaf.
Vegeta stood up and held Chi Chi bridal style in his arms before he started walking.
"Whoa! Where are we going?"
"For a happy spar. I'm too jittery with all this good news and I need to fight it out of me. Think you can handle it?"
Chi Chi almost gave him a run for his money with the smirk that she threw at him.
"Oh, I can definitely keep up with you."
So how was that chapter for you? It's actually really easy for me to write these chapters, like I don't think I've ever had severe writer's block on this story, if none at all. So yeah, I'm proud of myself on this one! You guys actually help push this story along as well! Like, there are hardly any V/CC fans out there, so to know that there are people reading this and enjoying this really warms my heart! Thank you!
Th whole baby protecting the mother thing was not my idea, so I don't own that concept. LVR4Trunks-n-Vegeta, someone who reviewed my story on my last chapter actually gave me the idea and because I thought it was so AMAZING, as well as help shape the story even more (like really guys, it fits into the whole story) I just had to throw it in there! Plus, because I can't take credit for the idea, I have made a shout out! So give LVR4 some love and thank them as well!
Don't forget to rate or hate, flames or floods! I love you guys and until next time!
