A poem from the point of view of Sam (and Dylan's) child.
Set at an unidentified Christmas in a happy Sam/Dylan future, in which she still serves as an Army medic.
I just thought it was a cute poem idea.
It's Christmas time at my house,
All fun and games galore,
I've got so much, I should be happy,
But I just want one thing more.
My mummy is working far away,
She helps make the future strong,
But is it wrong to want her home,
'Cause she's been gone for far too long.
I hope Santa's got my letter,
This year it's very short,
I don't care about that brand-new bike,
I want to visit the airport.
I want to see my mummy's face,
Standing out from the crowd,
I want to run and hold her hand,
I want to make her proud.
But my mummy can't come home today,
She's got to make the soldiers well,
She's so strong, and fierce and good,
On the "maybes" we can't dwell.
It's Christmas time at my house,
All fun and games galore,
My eyes light up, I spy a face,
My mummy's at the door.
I hope you liked it.
Thank you for reading, and please review,
Mia.
