Author's Note: Wow, it has been almost 3 years. I honestly did not expect to be coming back to the story I started 8 years ago. I want to thank all those still following along and keeping me feeling guilty for not updating XD I'm now 23 and in-between jobs, so I have time!

Disclaimer: I do not own either of these series, I'm way too young to have finished them.

Italics: Flashback

Previously: As she headed out the entrance, she pushed her hair back, distracting her from what was in front of her. All she heard was a rough chuckle as she bumped into something solid. Looking up, she saw an older version of Nico with green eyes slightly towering over her. "I'm so sorry," she began, "I wasn't watching where I was going..."

Now:

Harry took in the girl in front of him, not sure what to make of her leaving his cabin. Lifting an eyebrow in question, he gave an easy grin. She seemed to have an aura that screamed rebellion, so different than some of the other campers he ran into earlier. "May I help you?", he questioned softly, running his fingers through his hair.

Thalia found her cheeks warming up, as she started rambling apologies. So, this was the new contestant in their prophecy game. She looked into his eyes finding them to be older than the teenager in front of her, she couldn't help but wonder how that happened. She had arrived later than the others, so she missed his introduction. "Um, I just headed out. I was just checking in on Nico…," She trailed off, finally breaking the locked gaze she had been drawn into. Stepping to the side of him, she tilted her head in the question of if she could go. She was not used to waiting on someone her age or younger, technically, to dismiss her.

He sighed; he was still trying to figure out how to help that situation. He wished he could just be here as Nico's brother and support, but no, nothing was ever as he wished. He got a mini-vacation, he mused not realizing she was waiting on his response. Shaking his head, trying to rid himself of such thoughts. He needed to be in the present. Catching back up on the present, she seemed to be a bit fidgety. "Sorry, it's been a long day, don't worry about it. Thank you for your concern. I wish you a good night.", he answered apologetically. He really didn't want to come off a prat to someone who seemed to have not done anything against him or his kin. Not waiting for an answer, he turned on his heel.

Wandering into the cabin, he smiled over at Nico, "Hey kiddo, how are you holding up?" Nico jumped up giving him a tight hug, he awkwardly returned it not expecting the sudden movement. "You okay?", his asked tenderly, hoping nothing had happened while he had been wandering. The smaller of the two looked up grinning, "Yup!" Harry let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding. He didn't realize how much he associated hugs with distress until now. "Good good, so about ready to turn in for the night? It seems tomorrow we are expected to attend summer camp.", rolling his eyes with the comment. He was less than ecstatic about classes. He could control his powers better than some gods due to the nature of being mast of death. It had given him an understanding of the universe he had wished he had before he defeated the Dark Lord with his 'luck'.

Nico grinned hiding his frustration, "I don't have a choice, do I? You didn't happen to put a way for me to disappear without going into this new cabin, right?" He was honestly was only looking forward to maybe having time with Harry. Otherwise, he was used to others keeping a distance due to his ever-changing moods causing…things to happen. He didn't want his brother to find out about that yet. Things were still good. What he didn't notice was the shadows lightly playing around him.

Harry smiled softly, tousling his brother's hair. He always wanted to have a sibling, one that wasn't just a friend. He saw the shadows but did not mention it. That's how he found out he needed to find Hades when he found out about his family tree. He thought they were a bad thing, but they are just their aura becoming visible. Hopefully, his brother would come to him about it. He didn't want to press until then. "Nah, I could but then they would blame me, you know? I can't have that yet.", he chuckled, moving to change into pajamas. Nico looked ready for bed, but as if he was just waiting on him.

He waved a hand climbing into bed, leaving a flame going for a night light. "Night, sweet dreams." He cast a silencing charm that would keep any noises he made from waking Nico but would let any noises in. Turning over, he closed his eyes prepared for what awaited him.
