Kiku Honda awoke from his peaceful sleep, a ninja's instinct awakening. He rose from his futon, sitting upward. It appeared must have been midnight, or some darkly hour.

His eyes shifted-looking from left to right.

Left: the window was slightly open, Kiku felt a gentle breeze entering the room, a small 'whoo' sound and a soft chill. Nothing more.

Right: the sliding doors. It seemed untouched.

Kiku began to believe he was hallucinating, and shook off the matter. That, until he heard a slight shuffling of feet a few paces ahead of the futon.

From the floor, Kiku's eyes trailed upwards, slowly reaching the darkened side of the bedroom. There was no moonlight there.

It was that corner. That particular corner in his room he stared at. It seemed to gather Kiku's attention. Something was wrong.

Calmly, Kiku whispered out in the darkness.

"Dare desu ka?"

No response.

He felt an apprehensive feeling rush in his body, perspiration tricked down the side of Kiku's forehead.

"It's just your imagination," he tried to console the scary feelings. "Maybe if you didn't stay up so late watching the news, you could've had a better night."

Strangely enough, he replied to himself.

"But it was just terrible! A series of cases filed by countries of vital regions being claimed..I had to get some information to protect myself, too..."

The calm bickering in his head continued, until it was disturbed by the immediate detection of a presence in the room.

A pair of emerald eyes gazed upon Kiku in the very corner he had suspected earlier. They glowed with a small radiance-perhaps it was a cat?

Gradually, it would get larger and larger, as it slowly, quietly approached a terrified Kiku; his blanket raised to his nose.

Kiku tried to talk to the unidentified pair of eyes. His voice slightly afraid.

"Dare desu ka? Jibun miseru!"

This time, it replied.

"...It's me..."

A calm and deep voice. It was quite familiar to Kiku, who lowered his blanket slowly.

"...G-Girisu-san?"

The brilliant green eyes came a bit closer to the futon; it's full body revealed in the moonlight. Indeed, it was Heracles Karpusi, standing there.

Sighing with a hint of relief, Kiku smiled and talked a bit more calmly to the intruder.

"What is your business here, Girisu-san, at this late hour?"

Like electricity, a large pang of realization struck Kiku, who now got into self-defense pose.

A small smile came across Heracles' face.

"I'm here to claim your vital regions, Kiku."
