"So how much did you really hear?" Nina asked.

Fabian hesitated. Tell the truth or not? "Um…nothing much. I just heard Eddie storm out."

Nina snorted. "Liar." She glared at him. "What did you hear?

"I told you." Fabian's voice got stronger. "I didn't hear anything. I just heard Eddie storm out. I was too interested in procreation."

Nina rolled her eyes. "Riiiight."

Alfie and Mara sat together quietly on the bus. "How long do you think we'll be here for?" Alfie asked quietly.

Mara shrugged. "A couple weeks, I think." She pursed her lips. "I wish we were back." She said wistfully. "At least we'd know what was happening."

Alfie nodded. "I wish Joy hadn't done that. Nothing's been the same since."

"Yeah." Mara agreed. "Do you think we should stop talking about Joy?" Alfie stared at her. "It's making me depressed." She clarified quickly. "I think…I think everything in life has a purpose. And…and maybe Joy killing herself was to show us how much we have right now." Alfie still stared at her. "It's my way of coping, alright?"

"No, you're right. We should at least try to move on."

Jerome sighed. He had been waiting for an hour at least. Finally, he saw his partner. "How are trades going?" His partner said as he sidled up to him.

Jerome shrugged. "It's been difficult." He paused. "The headmaster suspects something. He sent his two kids to investigate."

His partner laughed. "Those two? They won't be a problem." Jerome raised his eyebrows. "We have…a history."

Jerome shrugged. "Whatever you say, Rufus."

"I'm ignoring you."

"I can see that." Eddie said with amusement.

"I'm going to ignore you even more after that."

"You're not doing a very good job, Yacker."

Patricia scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Kind of hard to ignore you."

Eddie put his hand on his chest. "Did you just give me a compliment. I am touched. I think I'm going to cry."

Patricia rolled her eyes again. "Keep dreaming."

"So how's your girlfriend going to dump you?" Giles asked.

Mick snorted. "Knowing her, very publicly." He paused, gazing at his pint. "She's kind of a bitch to be honest."

"Ouch." Giles winced. "That's hard."

Mick nodded. "Yeah. What about you? Any girls?"

Giles shrugged. "Had an American girlfriend, KT. It was a summer fling."

"Those are the worst."

"Yeah. You have a short time together, and you make the most. Not much more you can do."

Mick smiled, then glanced at the clock. "I should probably go. But I don't really want to."

"Do you want to stay at my place?" Giles asked. "Whatever's bugging you, it probably won't there."

Mick gulped down the rest of his pint, then nodded. "Sure."

Fabian ended Mick's call. "Well, Mick won't be coming home tonight."

Nina furrowed her eyebrows. "Why not?"

He shrugged. "He said he found a friend and wanted to catch up with him."

"We should probably head back."

"We should."

"Are you going to buy your procreation book?"

Fabian glanced at it, laughed, then set it down. "No. It wasn't very good."

Amber wandered around aimlessly. There's nothing to do. She thought. Correction, I could break up with Mick.

She sighed and glanced around. With a start, she realized she'd found herself in front of a bus stop. Might as well catch a bus.

She sat on the bench and pulled out her phone. She started to play around on it. Glancing around, she wondered where the bus was. How long does it take for a bus to get here?

"I always liked the stars." Eddie said. Patricia glanced over at him in surprise. "My mom used to tell me stories about them. She told me about Orion. That was one of my favorites. How he managed to make Artemis fall in love with him, only to be killed by her twin, Apollo."

"That's…an extreme way of threatening the boy who your sister dates. What did he do?"

Eddie shrugged. "Oh, Apollo was just jealous. Artemis swore to always be single, and Apollo just wasn't used to some other guy taking up her attention."

"That sucks." She paused. "What other stories are there?"

"The Gemini are my favorite. They were twins; one was mortal, the other immortal. When the mortal one died, the immortal one asked to be immortalized with him in the stars." He went on in a softer voice. "My mom always called us the Gemini. Me and Nina. We were inseparable as children, still are. She's the one constant in my life."

Patricia glanced at him out of the side of her eyes. "You must love her very much."

"I do. I would do anything for her." Eddie said fiercely.

There was silence for a moment. "I'm surprised you don't like Hercules."

"Hercules is overrated. He killed his wife and kids and was then killed by his second wife. Not exactly a heroic life if you ask me."

Rufus glanced around the abandoned alley. "You're sure no one saw you?" He insisted.

"Absolutely certain."

"What about Amber?"

"Amber told me she wanted out." Jerome said reluctantly.

Rufus sucked in a breath, then turned to stare at Jerome with his piercing eyes. "You know what to do." He said coldly. "If she talks…"

"She won't." Jerome stated confidently. "I convinced her that she was responsible for Joy's death. She's smart, she knows what that means."

Rufus cocked his head. "If you're sure."

"I am."
