Sexy and I Know It

Sakura was almost ready to give up on Sasuke. After a whole day of trying to convince him that life went on when Tsuande gave him an off-day, Sakura thought she was making some ground.

He'd learned the basics of life beyond hand seals and jutsu, and then he just had to go and ruin it.

By disagreeing with LMFAO.

Who argues the genius of LMFAO?

"The point is confidence," Sakura reiterated, dipping another French fry in ketchup. The murmured sounds of the Konoha Mall food court barely covered up the reverberating beat of the catchy song that Sasuke just seemed incapable of understanding. "It's a 'If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands' type of thing."

Sasuke stole another cherry tomato from her ignored salad. "You don't have to clap your hands to be happy," he muttered in between bites, eyeing Sakura squarely. A perfect black eyebrow quirked upward, challenging her to defy the truth in his logic.

"But," she drawled, scooting her salad closer to her with a snatch, "it does make you happier."

She smiled, knowing she had him caught when he crossed his arms across his chest and found the dancing panda in the middle of the court more interesting. Sakura sank back into her seat and pointless musings of her mind as she picked around her salad, searching for croutons. Her shoulders sank when she realized that he'd probably eaten those, too. Before she could rein in her anger enough to confront him about his crouton-stealing ways, the sound of a chair screeching close to her made her freeze still.

Purposeful fingers brushed hair behind her ear just as he leaned in to whisper, breath hot and husky on the shell. "So you're telling me that I'd be sexier," he paused, nuzzling his head into the crook of her neck, lips brushing against the tender skin and making her melt. His lips traced her jaw and traveled back up to her ear, nibbling lightly on the lobe. He blew gingerly before finishing, "if I knew it?"Sakura shivered. There was no lawful way that this man could be sexier.

Maybe he had a point.
