Conversations with God
"Place him on the table," ordered Marco as they entered the building. "I'll use my flames to revive him."
Nami desperately tried holding back her tears as Usopp carefully placed a very injured Trafalgar Law onto the table. The man was unconscious and bleeding severely from a collection of deep wounds. Law had survived the battle against Kaido and his crew but just barely. They were lucky Marco had arrived on Wano when he did. If not, who knows if Law would've even lasted the night.
As Marco began to engulf the man in his blue flames, Nami closed her eyes and latched onto Usopp shoulder. The man couldn't help but hug his friend tightly as she buried her face into his long black locks. Usopp knew at that very moment Nami was swimming in guilt. Law took several severe shots protecting her against Kaido's men. Not that Usopp would blame her for what took place on the battlefield. Nothing could prepare them for the fight that just took place.
The sniper took in a deep breath watching the blue flames dance around their fallen ally. Marco looked indifferent about the situation. With this pirate's past and reputation, he clearly had seen some worst cases. Regardless Usopp hoped Marco's healing powers would be enough to save Law.
Beneath the flames they could hear Law softly coughing and gasping for air. The man was slowly coming to. Usopp let out a sigh of relief. This had to be a good sign.
"Where am I?" they heard Law whisper, "Am I in Hell?"
Submerged in blue flames Usopp could understand how Law came to that conclusion. That didn't stop the sniper from letting out an amused snicker.
"God is that you?"
Usopp bit his lip hard when Law asked that question. Oh the irony of it all.
"Yes it is, my son," responded Usopp in low and deep voice.
"God, am I in Hell?"
"What if I say you were in Hell right now?"
Nami scowled as she pulled on Usopp's left check. Clearly she did not find this to be a joking matter. Marco however looked as indifferent as ever. Clearly he not up to date with the whole "God Usopp" reputation. No matter. Usopp was still planning to have his fun.
"Good," murmured Law. "It's where I belong."
Usopp felt a sting of guilt that time. He knew this man must carry some heavy demons from his past, but no one should feel that at home in Hell.
"What if I say I was inviting you to heaven, my son?"
"I would object the offer."
"Why?"
"Because I want to see her again."
Usopp and Nami looked at each other confused. They were not expecting that kind of response.
"Who?"
"Nami-ya."
Nami immediately dropped her jaw in disbelief. No one was prepared for that kind of answer… especially her. Usopp could see his dearest friend's face quickly turning bright pink. But he couldn't tell if she was blushing about the fact that he wanted to see her again…or if she was pissed that he thought she was going to Hell.
"What if I say Nami was going to end up in Heaven, my son?"
Law let out an amusing chuckle that time.
"I would call you a terrible liar," replied Law. "There's no way in Hell that woman is going to make it to Heaven."
Nami's eyes were on fire now. She was shaking from limb to limb. Usopp tried his best to hold his friend back from injuring the man any further…but there was no hope for him. God was saying his prayers for Trafalgar Law now.
"WHY THAT SON OF A BITCH!"
Covered in flames, Nami lunged onto Law and attempted to choke him out. Law was grinning at the sight of her.
"See I told you, God," snickered Law, dodging her strikes. "I told you she would make it down here."
Nami hissed as she tried to cover his smile. Trafalgar Law might be alive but Nami was sure to make his life a living Hell.
LOL! I know this one was pretty short but I hope you had a good laugh at it.
Some sweet-n-spicy Lawna! Yum! Hahahahahaha!
Sorry Nami...I love you...but you are going to Hell, my dear. But Law is more than happy to keep you company down there ;3
