PROLOGUE – THE START OF THE TRUE ALBION

It had been three years, three long and rather developing years, since the ban on magic had been demolished. The Kingdom of Camelot was at peace; well, at most peace Camelot could ever have. The citizens, without fear of harm and full of joy made in new company, lived side by side with sorcerers. The court of Camelot held in power the great King Arthur, the one who relinquished his father's prejudices of magic in the kingdom and, instead, brought about a new world of social acceptance.

Camelot, the mighty kingdom known for its ravishing beauty and justly people, was the capitol of Albion which, by the recognition of all, united the lands together in a holy swear of equality. Though many faithful and loyal people had perished for this world to become more than just legend, the sacrifices of such would not be in vain. This land, sung of by bards and troubadours, was what some would favor to call utopia.

Beside the mighty king sat his wife the lovely Queen Guinevere whose love was easily given and difficult to lose. Though some, the foolish and unwise, had lost this love and were rightfully tried under the laws of treason. This may be so, but the kingdom still lived on. Unbeknownst to all but one, the age of brilliance had yet to traverse over the land.

This one continued to stand by his lord's side, faithfully loyal and incapable of being budged beyond all others: Merlin. Merlin, whose presence was forever accountable by the great king's side, was King Arthur's manservant, the acknowledged fool of the court. And still, he was the only one who could be trusted ever more so than the Queen herself.

Morgan Tud, a middle aged man from a small village at the base of the Mountains of Isgaard, held the position of Court Physician. The death of Gaius left many hearts full of mourning, especially that of his ward and surrogate son Merlin. For other positions, important yet unrequired for names, there were few specific changes.

One other position, taken up by an aging man by the name of Elri, was an addition to the court. He protected the kingdom with magic from their weakened enemies, grown few in the passing years since Arthur's reign had begun. Yet, the true hero, saving it more times than be counted, stayed in hiding as always.

And, in this tale masqueraded in legend's feathery touch, an audience learns of the truth behind a mystery clouded in falsities.
