A Discerning Encounter
A/N: Revised 05/08/15
Kagome brushed her fingertips over the weather aged well. It had been so long, but she was apprehensive to jump in. Kagome rubbed over her shoulder where Inuyasha had bitten her.
'What should I say if mother was to see it?' Kagome looked tired, longing to see her family but the recent turn of events only caused her to stumble.
"Kagome?" a clear warm voice echoed throughout the clearing. Turning abruptly Kagome smiled up to the blue clad Monk.
"Miroku" she greeted warmly. She was surprised to see her friend.
'Inuyasha hadn't left them, had he?' she pondered, another voice much louder rang through Inuyasha's forest.
"Kagome!" Sango rushed past the lax monk, engulfing Kagome in one of her tightest hugs. Both Miroku and Kagome sighed at the always so vigilant Sango, truth be told Kagome brought out her over protective side. "What are you doing here?" Sango blurted out, checking the younger teen over for any signs of injury.
'What is she talking about?' Kagome twitched nervously.
"I could ask the same" she teased sweetly. Sango began tugging at the younger female, urging her to visit Kaede no doubt.
'But Sesshoumaru.' she paused turning her head back to the west where she had come from. Earlier that morning Kagome found Jaken stood next to Ah-Un, waiting impatiently for her. Rin had taken some persuasion to allow Kagome to leave, with Shippou offering to stay by her side, with Sesshoumaru's silent permission.
"Where is Sesshoumaru?" she questioned the imp. She really didn't like him, and yet he had his uses.
"How dare you say lord Sesshoumaru's name so familiarly" Kagome glared at him, debating if kicking him to kingdom come would be productive. She had on occasions seen his so called 'beloved' lord do it with no remorse. Would it give her some sort of satisfaction, probably? However Kagome thought better of it, smiling at the small Kappa demon she reached down patting him on the head patronizingly.
"Hai, Hai." The now mortified Jaken began frantically shouting once more.
"If you have finished demeaning this Sesshoumaru's loyal subject" a voice beckoned from behind her, his sentence forgotten when his golden orbs landed on her bent over form. Sesshoumaru knew it was in no way seductive. Nevertheless Sesshoumaru eyed her over carefully. She wore a thin pink, soft looking garment. He recalled she had worn this the cursed day beside the river. A creamy fabric poked out under and around the tight sleeves and dropped over her luscious hips, which were thankfully covered by a longer mint green fabric than the usual forest green piece that was extremely indecent.
"Lord Sesshoumaru" she spoke loudly, catching his attention. Blinking once Sesshoumaru waited for her to recite what she had previously said. There was no way in hell he'd admit he hadn't listened. "I was saying, before you became unresponsive…"
'More like before you began eyeing me over like a seedy old man.' Kagome again narrowed her eyes.
"When are we going?" Jaken stared at the two who had seemingly forgotten he was there.
"We are not" he spoke,
'Cryptic as ever I see' Kagome snorted. 'Just what rattled your cage' Jaken remained silent, wondering if he should speak up reminding the two he was still there. Those gorgeous golden orbs switched from the teen to settle on Jaken, making the Kappa extremely.
"What do you mean we are not?" Kagome protested only to be cut off by the icy gold she remembered from years ago.
After a short time was spent explaining to her the conditions of her visit, Kagome now found she was riding alone on Ah-Un through the endless woods. Her aura fuming at the stupid conditions. All thoughts disappeared when Edo came into view.
'Four days will have to be enough.' She smiled, chatting to her human friends the whole way up to the smallest hut on the tallest hill. Kagome stopped at the hut her arms stretched out holding onto the older Miko.
"Kaede, how are you."
Sesshoumaru scowled. On the leave of the cursed woman, Inuyasha has begun to unsettle, growling was the least of the lords worry. Lord Bo Lei had decided to stay as well, something that had not surprised the lord. Sesshoumaru frowned, he would have to retrieve her sooner than planned.
"How's he doing?" Amaterasu asked her tone anxious enough for the both of them. Sesshoumaru eyed her carefully.
"Did you not foresee this?" Sesshoumaru asked shortly. The first time he had come across the demoness's ability, he was still only a young pup but his father had always believed in training young. It was on such an occasion a younger Amaterasu had intervened between Sesshoumaru and her previous lord. He remembered the way his father teasingly announced she was no fun to be around. He had always wondered what his father had meant by that. And that was how he learnt she could see things that had not yet occurred. Amaterasu shook her head.
"I have told you before, something's don't wish me to see what has not yet been written." Oh yes, he remembered her saying this before vaguely. Though her abilities were more than extremely useful often, on occasions they had remained passive. Much like his father's resurrection blade, he thought irritably.
'Once again, Inuyasha has disturbed the chronological order of things.' The demon lord bit back his frustration. If Amaterasu could not help, he would have to ask another source.
"My lord, what about Kagome?" Amaterasu had a knack for being defiant, but she also had a knack for being right.
"Do you have a fundamental reason to be concerned with the Miko?" he asked plainly, her response was less than mature pointing her tongue out at her lords turned back. Suddenly Amaterasu paused, her body rigid. Sesshoumaru sensed her aura spike his body reacting to her sudden distress.
"She is inside him." her words were blunt and unrefined. Evident she finally had her vision. Sesshoumaru closed the door, concealing Inuyasha.
'Inside him' he mentally mouthed. His eyes staggered in shock, before his maturity took over. Sesshoumaru suddenly had an idea. A brilliant idea, the cranky Inu Youkai let a coy smirk grace his face. Amaterasu raised an eyebrow slightly worried if an amused Sesshoumaru was a good thing or not. It was decided, Sesshoumaru would defiantly have to retrieve the woman that very night.
Kagome laughed and cried, smiled and joked around. Delighted she could finally act so normal. She had explained everything to her two companions. Both understood perfectly why Inuyasha had said what he had. Kagome 'was' worried about the well and his thoughtfulness had caught her off guard.
'He can be so compassionate at times, and yet…' she had to hold the tears back, the last thing he had done caused her to think he had changed. But it was her, she was growing up and out of love with someone obviously still confused but showed his love for her in his own way.
Kagome suddenly stiffened, Kikyo. Didn't he love her more than Kagome? What had happened to her anyway? It had been difficult after the disappearance of Naraku. Kikyo had survived the last attack they had with the spider Hanyou, barely but she was alive.
'Well somewhat.' Kagome added to her rendition of their final battle. Kikyo had miraculously disappeared, taking most of the jewel with her. Sure, the small group had always had less jewel and more spunk, but that hadn't been the frustrating part. Inuyasha had spent months looking for her. It was a time Kagome hated the most, she frowned thinking about it. Looking up at Sango and Miroku, Kagome was just so grateful she had them both. They had always scolded Inuyasha for his unkind attitude towards Kagome, It was a time she was devoted and infatuated with the half-breed. Kagome sighed, gaining the three human's attention. She wanted to go home now more than ever.
So here she was, once more looking over the well. Her hand grazing over the wooden frame, this time though she wasn't apprehensive, this time she was ready.
Placing two hands firmly onto the lip of the well, Kagome launched in and waited for the magic to take hold. In the distance stunned eyes now watched as the young girl plummeted into the depths of the bone eaters well. Stepping out from the concealment that was the thick shrubs opposite, his body tingled with the magic flooding into the well. Cautiously Sesshoumaru peered over. She was not there. His ears twitched three sets of foot prints shuffled forward. Turning towards the small Sesshoumaru waited. Miroku, of course it was always Miroku who had the guts to address him first.
"Lord Sesshoumaru" he asked, as if he expected this Sesshoumaru snorted, he was predictable. "If it is lady Kagome you wish to see, she is no longer with us." He announced, again Sesshoumaru snorted, of course she is not here. Calmly Sesshoumaru spoke.
"This Sesshoumaru is aware" all three humans stopped instantly,
'Does he know?' they all wondered. Seeing as the proud Sesshoumaru would probably not ask, Kaede courteously interrupted.
"The Priestess Kagome" she began wearily, "Is not from this time." After hearing all the Miko had to say, the stoic lord's voice gravelled out low and less than confidently.
"This Sesshoumaru gathered as much." The words Shippou had said briefly to the lord rang through his mind.
'Only Inuyasha is allowed to visit the Miko's home. Inuyasha must hold the key.' Without warning Sesshoumaru left. How could he not have realized sooner. Her appearance, her vast knowledge and even her manner of speaking was unusual. Mentally kicking himself, Sesshoumaru sped up towards the west. Spontaneously Sesshoumaru came to a halt. The images of Amaterasu and Inuyasha fumbling over their words in front of both the Chinese and the possessed Miko flooded his thoughts. Amaterasu had known. And had kept this from him. Why?
Kagome awoke. Her face shone with sheer bliss as she sprang out of her own bed. Now revealing her favoured tank top and boxer combo, complimented with oversized woolly socks. Her now usual sleeping attire, instead of the child like two-set she had warn before. She was now eighteen after all. Two knocks disturbed her.
"Kagome dear, are you getting up?" her mother's muffled voice infected a warm glow into the young woman's body. Oh how she had missed her mother. After shouting an agreement back through the door, Kagome scrambled down stairs. After breakfast the teen tapped her shoes onto the front doorframe, as she left. Her mum waving from the small hallway.
"I'll be back later, do you want me to get anything while I'm out?" she thoughtfully asked, however her Ms Higurashi shook her head relaxing into a heart-warming smile. "Okay, well later." Kagome hollered, turning into the courtyard a thick jumper in hand.
'The winter weather can be unpredictable at times, but at the moment it is warm enough for just a t-shirt. Global warming.' she thought shaking her head, as her eyes now watched the thick clouds form above. She then took off down the many steps to the main streets below for a busy day shopping. She had promised to buy presents for the children after all.
Meanwhile back at the shine, Grandpa Higurashi set about sweeping like he usually would. Truth be told the colder months meant little custom and would usually put a strain on the whole family, Souta was older now but not quite old enough to help financially. The old monk sighed, he truly wanted the best for his grandchildren but he may need to part with his extensive collection of priceless artefacts.
Sesshoumaru stood at the base of the well. It was now well into midday and the stoic lord was furious. Inuyasha had be less than helpful with how to get to the future. Though at the time of Sesshoumaru's arrival the Hanyou was unconscious. Frustrated Sesshoumaru set out in search of the older Miko. Jaw clenched Sesshoumaru abruptly took off in the direction of Kaede's hut.
Kaede fell back slightly at the site that was the western lord now looming at her door. Radiating annoyance, apart from his stone like appearance naturally she ushered him inside.
"What can 'I' do for 'ye' demon?" she huffed not standing up from her crouched position next to the aged cooking pot. Miroku lifted the bamboo mat announcing his presence, eyes wavering adjusting to the slight light difference. Not expected to find the demon lord at her council.
"Do not place this Sesshoumaru's being as low as a common demon, Miko" his voice full of regal authority but kept his patient tone. It appeared the old Miko had some bite left in her fleeting aura.
"Do not assume to this 'Miko' your status means much, you are in my home demon lord." Sango and Miroku could've fallen to the floor at her statement, if they weren't use to the way she scolded Inuyasha.
"Do not test this Sesshoumaru, old woman." Miroku flicked his eyes two and throw. The two older beings had some sort of stale mate stare going on, almost as if they understood there individual standing on the planet. Both stubborn, both well respected, both on opposite sides of the spectrum. Kaede huffed, a small grin plastered on her withered face.
"Ye both can leave, we have matters to discuss" Both hurried out, leaving the two alone. Sesshoumaru stood whilst the human Miko preferred to stay seated, wordlessly acknowledged each other.
"Ye wish to travel through the bone eaters well?" Sesshoumaru said nothing but narrowed his gaze slightly. If the old Miko dared to ask why this Sesshoumaru wanted to pursue Kagome, he would simply kill her. No room for negotiating. It appeared Kaede understood and said nothing. Kaede slowly stood, collecting a few bits a pieces around her small hut. Finally Kaede handed the demon a small satchel. Sesshoumaru made no attempt to take the bag from the human, and so she gently threw it at him. Swiftly he caught it and left immediately.
Souta stalked across the courtyard. Intent to scare the old man sweeping.
"Hello Souta, back from school already?" his withered voice deflated the child,
'How does he always do that?' the child scratched the back of his head in puzzlement, before offering to help his beloved grandfather. Suddenly he paused, every hair on his hunched back, tickled little goose bumps down his back stiff from years of praying.
"What is it Gramps?" Souta asked with all the concern he could muster, his grandfather was known for coming up with some great stories after all, and you could never really tell what he could be thinking up next.
"Souta, get behind me" there was no joking this time, forcefully pushing the young teen behind him.
"Show yourself Demon" the elder spoke loud and clear. Sesshoumaru stepped out from the shadows of the well house. Souta stood mouth agape, eyes wide with awe and fear. Bags dropped in the background, the rustling a foreign noise to the now unpredictable Demon Lord.
"How the hell did you get here?" a strong voice pierced through all three males in front. Grandpa Higurashi narrowed his eyes, disapproving his granddaughter's slip of the tongue. Sesshoumaru however had the smallest curve of a smile she ever did see.
'He finds this amusing does he?' grabbing her bags she stomped towards the house but not before addressing the others.
"Souta, gramps. Get inside. And YOU…" she began, before becoming distracted by his vacant expression. "You, just what are you doing here?" Another face popped into view from behind Kagome. Sesshoumaru noted she resembled the Miko very much,
'The girl's mother I presume.' he rightly thought,
"Well?" she pressed, her brain just couldn't put two and two together coincidently and then he spoke.
"Do not forget who you are speaking to Miko" Those familiar golden orbs glared at her.
"Miko?" Granddad Higurashi questioned more to Kagome than the daunting silver haired demon. However neither bothered to expand on that. Frustrating the old monk. Kagome began to fidget under the intense scowl from Sesshoumaru.
"Sorry Lord Sesshoumaru." She started still annoyed. "But the well doesn't just allow anyone to enter you know. How did you…" Kagome was cut off by Sesshoumaru revealing the purple pendant enchanted by a curtain old Miko. Kagome's eye twitched, she knew Kaede searched for the shards when the group were away from Edo for a long time, but why would she give one to Sesshoumaru of all people.
Kagome turned to all three of her beloved family members, who were waiting eagerly for an explanation. Though she noticed granddad Higurashi looked unimpressed by the whole situation.
Kagome could only hope Souta wouldn't mention Inuyasha until she told her story, the entire story. Ms Higurashi stood impressed by the demon lord, eyeing over the two time travellers in front of her. Kagome shot a 'Not happening' glare towards the older woman who chuckled at her daughter's reaction.
"My lord, would you like to come in for tea?" Kagome froze,
'Tea, really mother?' gulping she nervously turned to Sesshoumaru who graciously nodded and now began casually walking into her small home.
"This is not happening, my own mother inviting the scariest demon into our house for tea, FOR TEA!" she had spoken to herself, but Sesshoumaru had heard her every word, mentally enjoying her crazed outburst. Truthfully the older human female had impressed him by her polite directness.
'Obviously Inuyasha has a bad influence on the girl.' He deducted silently. Kagome watched in shock as her mother had pulled out the best tea leaves she could find and served Sesshoumaru Lord of the West. Kagome didn't know what was weirder, the awkward casualness or the fact Sesshoumaru was drinking something. Gracefully as to be expected she just couldn't help watch him intensely.
Ms Higurashi cleared her throat, a small signal to her daughter who caught on instantly. Taring her eyes away from the bizarre scene onto the grinning woman opposite, her eyes darted to the door and they both left casually. Pointing to the other room across from the kitchen, her mother obliged and the pair silently walked into the room opposite.
"He's a demon lord, a very powerful demon lord and you offer him tea like he is a casual school friend!" Kagome had to quieten down as she had finished the sentence a lot louder than she had begun it. Ms Higurashi simply shrugged in response.
"Now, now Kagome. I've always said treat those, how you wish to be treated. After the journey I simply thought he would want some sort of refreshment. Tea seemed the safest option." Kagome almost stumbled at her mother's confidence, if only she knew what he truly was. Rubbing her eyes, stressed from the uninvited guest now sipping tea like a 'normal' person, Kagome simply nodded. In all honesty this was just like her mother, always thoughtful to others.
Ms Higurashi smiled sweetly as her daughter explained as much as she could, before their disappearance would look suspicious.
"He is a guest who's travelled along way for you Kagome. Why not show him around if he would like?" Kagome lifted a brow to her mother's statement. Walking around with an anti-social demon lord did not sound like a well thought out idea. Was her mother listening to her brief low down on the demon lord?
Both entered the kitchen once again. Sesshoumaru stood against the far wall looking out the glass filled window. He contemplated its usefulness before the woman caught his attention.
"Was the tea to your liking my lord?" Kagome jumped at her mother's forwardness.
'Is there any way I can wordlessly tell the ice lord to 'not' kill my mother before the day is out.' she sighed heavily before her mind cleared with a simple question in mind. If he was here, did that mean he wanted her to return? He would keep his promise wouldn't he?
Kagome pouted without realizing towards the demon lord. The action caught his full attention. His golden orbs now settled on her being. Sesshoumaru nodded in response to the older human's question. It was a subtle blend but was enough to be enjoyed. Human tea back in the feudal era was incredibly bitter, he knew the human's taste buds were lesser than his own superior senses and so he didn't drink it. But this he had drunk was surprisingly acceptable.
Kagome relaxed ever so slightly Sesshoumaru seemed to not want to kill her family, yet.
Souta and Grandpa joined the trio in the kitchen. Thankfully Souta hadn't said anything about Inuyasha and Kagome silently wished he would not until she could speak to him quietly. Grandpa however spoke up bluntly, causing Kagome to spit her drink out in shock. Grabbing the old codger by the collar Kagome dragged the elder man outside, her face red in embarrassment.
"You can't just blurt that kind of nonsense out old man." she flapped around obviously uncomfortable. Forgetting the demon hearing was impeccable.
"It was reasonable. You are jumping around the man, like your mother had with my son." he admitted, Kagome could strangle him right now.
How could he just assume she was romantically involved with a cold blooded killer, and how could he just come out and ask said cold blooded killer. Kagome felt tired, irritated and embarrassed how could she face the stoic lord now? Sighing she walked into the kitchen, bowed a quick apology before running upstairs in total embarrassment.
Sesshoumaru was paused in surprise. Perhaps the Miko got her idiocy from the older monk. Deciding it was best to ignore the statement, he turned to the young boy who was still staring intensely. Something to any normal person would be slightly unnerving but he probably hadn't seen such a specimen as him, being the teen Miko often displayed the same reactions to the simplest things in his time.
"Souta, stop staring and go and get Kagome," she whispered, whilst apologising to Sesshoumaru. "I need help with dinner tonight." the small boy only whined, but rose off the chair quietly and sprung off up the stairs. Sesshoumaru watched the boy from the corner of his eyes. The muffled sound of Kagome's voice flowed through the ceiling, she was not amused clearly. Sesshoumaru understood his sudden turning up in her home had broken his word to the girl of allowing her to return in four days, but he hadn't expected the humans to be so impressed of a demon being around. A horrid realization struck him,
'Are there no demon's left in this time?' frowning Sesshoumaru would ask the Miko, later however.
Kagome was thankful she had the small opportunity to tell her younger brother to 'not' mention Inuyasha, at all. Of course he questioned her about it,
'You don't want to know, trust me you don't want to go there.' Souta reluctantly agreed,
The night had progressed smoothly. Surprisingly Sesshoumaru had accepted a small meal of rice and raw meat. After dinner Souta had retreated to his bedroom, grandpa to the shine and her mother had scurried off to a neighbour with left overs. Kagome breathed in slowly, she had now been left alone with Sesshoumaru in the small space that was her kitchen. He eyed her carefully. He had so many questions, but he would not be made out to sound like an inquisitive child in front of the fiery human, and so he would ask one question for now.
"Are there no demons in this time?" his question had come out rather bland and to the point. But Kagome knew it was something he would probably ask, sooner or later. How could she answer what she did not know?
"Truthfully, I'm not sure. I wasn't even aware of my powers until I went through the well" she admitted, a little more than she wanted to. Sesshoumaru began to understand her situation better.
'So it was not her own fault she was untrained?' he had already sensed the older monk was extremely weak, perhaps it was the lack of balance as there seemed to be no demons. Things that are no longer needed do go into disrepair. Clearly the well was the changing factor for Kagome's sheer amount of power, when her grandfather had little to none. Sesshoumaru prodded another question to the teen.
"The boy stares so intensely. He has seen Inuyasha, has he not?" Kagome shuddered but explained.
"Inuyasha and Souta get on better than probably I do with Inuyasha, they are friends." she laughed, remembering one occasion Souta showed the Inu Hanyou a video game, Inuyasha nearly destroyed the television. Sesshoumaru nodded, "My brother is just curious, you are a full blooded demon. Inuyasha is only half a demon." Sesshoumaru understood, but Kagome only rolled her eyes at the demon now displaying a boastful look,
'Alright Mr Egotistical.' she scoffed. It was Kagome's turn to interrogate.
"Why are you here Sesshoumaru? And I don't mean it rudely I'm just astonished you actually came through" Sesshoumaru watched the Miko fumble over her question,
"Something has arisen, your assistance is needed." Kagome crossed her arms,
"Now?" she spoke agitated.
"Now" Sesshoumaru repeated, she wouldn't dare refuse.
"No" she refused.
Sesshoumaru lifted off the wall he had come comfortable leaning against. Now stalking towards the stubborn female, he could see her little tell-tale signs of discomfort at his approach. There was the small eye twitch, the little lick of her plump blushed lip, the way her mouth nudged her throat to swallow and create a small shudder across her shoulders. She may be defiant but she was not confident at all. Sesshoumaru decided he enjoyed this defiance, a little too much.
Kagome breathed in, her lungs filled with the cold raw air that swirled around the demon only inches away, she could once again smell his natural scent. The damp dew filled grass that she smelt every morning in the feudal era mixed with a strong smell she could only describe as what a man should smell like. It was distracting, if only he wasn't so scary she gulped silently before stepping back. He always did get too close.
However Sesshoumaru stepped forward, the distant to her retreat narrowed with each step the pair took. Just how defiant could she be, true she had one up being in her own environment but he always enjoyed a challenge.
After a silent shuffle Kagome stumbled into the screen separating her from the hallway. One final step and she was now fully propped up against the screen.
'Is he toying with me, really?' Kagome hoped he was. He was once again inches away, those eyes pouring into hers so intensely. "What?" Kagome whispered, half expecting the demon to ignore her, he did not.
"You will return with this Sesshoumaru" the stoic lord stated, Kagome annoyed by his arrogance.
"You said four days, not four hours" she pouted, but the lord did not back away.
"It has been a day" he spoke growling gently. He did not understand what hours where, but he had an inkling she was perhaps not telling the truth about her timings. Sesshoumaru made his authority clear, however two could play at that game.
"No, you will not growl at me like that, you promised" Sesshoumaru blinked,
"I promised nothing." he stated matter-of-factly.
"Yes you did" Kagome exclaimed,
"I allowed you to leave, I said no more than four days" Kagome twitched in annoyance, oblivious to his vocabulary slip.
"And I expect to get at least 4 days, Sesshoumaru." The intense atmosphere could almost crackle like thunder, the heated whispers from the two only adding to the awkward scene only they were witnessing.
"What's so important you need my help so badly" Sesshoumaru paused, the bored look filled his previous amused expressions.
"This Sesshoumaru does not need help." Kagome's expression became very angry.
"Yes, you keep saying that and yet I always seem to help you regardless of your prejudice against me!" the teen mentally slapped herself. Sesshoumaru pulled away from her outburst. She did that frequently. However he was not about to back down, pushing himself closer than before, soft silvery strands grazed over clenched human fists. Sesshoumaru spoke through gritted teeth.
"Will you accept the consequences if this Sesshoumaru allows you to stay." Kagome didn't even consider anything, she agreed quickly.
"Yes, will you go back?" she spoke without hesitation. Remaining close Sesshoumaru pondered her answer. Sesshoumaru effortlessly glided a clawed hand through his silvery locks as he stood back up straight.
"No" He answered basically.
"What do you mean no! You can't seriously think I'll let you stay here do you?" Kagome uttered angrily. She had just about had enough of the arrogant bastard. Folding her arms across her chest once again, Kagome waited for the dog demon to speak.
"I will remain here, until you change your mind." he said with regal confidence. Kagome growled in irritation before pushing the slide open,
"Fine" she spat, slamming the screen closed as she went.
Ms Higurashi and Grandpa stood in shock, there daughter usually stomped off like that when Inuyasha had said something unrefined, something Ms Higurashi couldn't imagine the polite young man she had met today to so. Deciding to disturb Kagome would probably not be wise, Ms Higurashi knocked quietly on her kitchen screen, Sesshoumaru acknowledged her and the woman entered.
"Please forgive Kagome, she spoke so highly of you earlier. I don't think she meant to show any disrespect" Sesshoumaru raised both eyebrows slightly, if only this human woman knew. It was his fault, he had pushed her daughter to her limit for his own twisted pleasure. However the Miko had spoken highly of him? Curious.
After the older female poured herself and the elder human a tea, she pointed to the joining screen.
"There is a spare futon in the cupboard," Sesshoumaru explained he did not require sleep and Ms Higurashi simply smiled politely before leaving, "I would usually say sleep well, however…" Sesshoumaru tilted his head slightly at her remark.
"Good night" he offered monotonously.
'The Miko spoke highly of this Sesshoumaru' Narrowing his eyes, the demon lord began inspecting the new room he had been assigned.
A/N: Enjoy :) and thank you to all my reviewers :3 keep at it I love hearing from you all :)
