Ironhide and Ratchet continued in their comfortable relationship. For Optimus and his team, the biggest change was that there was often a clang of metal as the two played around now that Ratchet could tell exactly how hurt Ironhide was. The roughhousing would invariably lead to Jazz telling them to 'take it to the berth!' and Ratchet would slap the lieutenant before heading back to his duties.

Ironhide reveled in knowing that he was the only mech, anywhere, that really knew Ratchet, knew the deeply held beliefs that drove him to change himself and continue the fight as a medic.
