"Is it just me, or is Reed spending a bit too much time with that Shane guy?"

"Shane? Dude, I don't know who that is."

"Y'know, he's that nerd, the one with the glasses and the crazy hair."

"Oh, yeah, now you mention it, they do spend a lot of time together. Gay, probably."

Shane's head shot up. He looked out from behind his locker at Rick and Azimio who were discussing his and Reed's...relationship.

After that time in the locker room, both boys had decided that, while they wanted to go out with each other, they needed to keep it a secret. Most people at McKinley weren't exactly...accepting.

Shane thought that they'd been doing a fairly good job of keeping their relationship under wraps. Evidently not. Shane walked away from the two jocks, trying not to draw attention to himself. He needn't have worried; people never paid attention to him anyway.

Pulling out his phone, he sent a quick text to Reed.

Where are you? We need to talk - S xx

My locker. What's wrong? - R xxx

Stay there. I'll be therein 5 - S xx

Reed frowned at his phone, but waited obediently by his locker for Shane. It was only about thirty seconds later when Shane came barrelling around the corner and into Reed, almost knocking them both over.

"Reed, they know!"

"Shane, wait. Slow down, say it again."

"Rick and Azimio. They know about us...or at least, they suspect."

"What? No! We kept it a secret. Didn't we?"

"I thought so, I'm so sorry, Reed."

"Why are you sorry? It wasn't your fault."

"I know, but you're a Cheerio, Reed, and I'll just ruin your reputation."

"Shane! Don't ever think that! If they know, then they know. There's nothing we can do."

Reed looked around the corridor, which was fairly packed, and was thankful that they had been talking in hushed tones, otherwise half of the school would know by now.

"Shane..."

"Reed?"

"We shouldn't let Rick and Azimio tell everyone about us-"

"There's nothing we can do about it, we can't stop them."

"I know that, Shane" Reed whispered, a small grin spreading over his face. "They'll find out sooner or later, but we should tell everyone, not them."

"How do you suggest we do that?"

"Well, I have an idea."

Reed looked down the corridor, which was now flooded with students, before grabbing Shane's shoulders, pulling him into a fierce kiss. Shane wrapped his arms around Reed's waist, ignoring the looks that the other students were giving them. In a rather bold move, Reed pushed Shane backwards into the row of lockers, standing on his tiptoes to press one last kiss to Shane's lips, before pulling away.

"Yes. Good idea Reed. I liked it." Shane whispered breathlessly.

"I thought you might."
