A/N: Hello, guys. As you've already noticed, I hadn't updated this story in a very long time. I know I promised I wouldn't keep you waiting again and I'm really sorry for that. I don't really know what happened, but I haven't written in a pretty long time. Basically, since I started high school back in 2012, I started writing less and less and, after writing another chapter for this story in 2013, I took a break from Fanfiction. I only went on here to read occasionally and only logged in to review a good friend's stories. Lately, I haven't written anything at all, but these past months I suddenly felt an urge to write again. I went and read my old stories and a wave of nostalgia hit me. I mean, I started this story when I was 14 and in 8th grade. Now I'm 20 and I just finished my first year of Law school. My first stories were written when I was 12! Reading this (and my other stories) brings me back to that time in my life, a much simpler time that I really miss now. This increases my desire to write again just like before. I knew all along that I would eventually go back to writing and finish what I started and now it's time to do it. I can promise now that this story will be finished by the end of this Summer. Once again, I'm sorry for the incredibly long wait and I hope at least some of my original readers are still interested in reading it.

I know this was incredibly long and you're probably not interested in reading all of this about me, but I had to share all of this with you and, sort of, explain myself. Now, enough about me, let's get to the story!

Third Person POV

This was it. This was the night when the three vampires' plan would be put into action. Sarah and Erica were on their way to Ethan's house, the former hoping that the plan would work and the latter being eager for the action to start.

"You don't have to come, you know, I'm the one babysitting." the brunette said to her friend, assuming that she wasn't really interested in everything that was going on. After all, with Rory being there as well, there wasn't need for a third person. Erica turned to her, faking a shocked expression.

"What? And miss all this?" the blonde replied, before trading in her shocked face for an amused one. "I know it sounds weird coming from me, but I'm really curious how this is going to turn out." The last sentence made the other girl smile knowingly.

"You care about them." Sarah said, making her best friend look at her in confusion. "You care about them and you want them to be happy, just admit it." the brunette continued to tease, earning an eye roll from the other girl.

"Oh, please, why would I care about these dorks' happiness?" Erica tried to play it cool so that her friend wouldn't believe that she, in fact, did care, but that didn't fool Sarah. "I'm all for entertainment, though!"

"Whatever you say."

The two girls arrived to Ethan's house. While Sarah was having a little talk with Ethan's parents, Erica sat on the couch, next to Jane.

"What are you doing here?" the little girl asked curiously, as she had only been expecting her babysitter to come.

"I had nothing to do, so I said, why not come here?" Erica replied, managing to make her response sound as sincere as possible. Jane simply nodded, seeming to not question anything.

Ethan came downstairs just as his parents left and, as soon as he saw Erica on the couch, he eyed her and Sarah suspiciously.

"Is there a reason why you came here?" he asked the blonde, not sure what to expect. Erica shook her head.

"As I've already told your sister, I had nothing better to do." she tried to explain one more time. Sarah did her best to hide the smile that was forming on her face. Her friend really did care about the boys and it was becoming more and more obvious.

Ethan was not fully convinced, but he decided not to question it. He had enough stuff on his mind anyway.

"Hey, Ethan, I wanted to ask you something." Jane suddenly spoke, making her older brother step out of his thoughts and give her his full attention. "Why hasn't Benny come here this week at all? He used to stay here with you all the time. Did you have a fight?"

Ethan froze at this question. How could he explain the situation to Jane? How could he explain the situation to anyone? He couldn't have anyone else besides Sarah know about his feelings.

"No, we didn't fight. We're still best friends." Ethan answered, although his response was not completely true. While they hadn't had a fight, he knew that the nature of their relationship had changed. He couldn't see Benny as only a best friend anymore. Things were very awkward between them at the moment, as they were both doing their best to avoid each other. He bit his lip, trying to find an answer. "Things are just kinda complicated between us right now, but everything will go back to normal soon, I'm sure of it." He looked down as he said this, as he knew it was a lie. He had already accepted that the relationship between him and Benny will never be the same as before. What was worse was that he didn't even know if he really wanted things to be like before. "I've got some stuff to do, so I'll go back to my room." Ethan said as he turned to go upstairs.

Jane was confused by her brother's answer, as he hadn't clarified what had happened. Sarah really wanted the plan to work out, as she could see how much it was hurting Ethan to stay away from Benny. She just wanted the awkward situation to come to an end. Erica rolled her eyes, amazed at how dense Ethan could be.

"Hey, Jane. I see you're a little bit upset." Sarah spoke, as the little girl turned to her. "I remembered how you're always complaining that you don't get to spend enough time out of the house. Do you want to come with me for a little walk?" After hearing this, Jane's disposition changed and she smiled widely.

"Right now? Are you serious?" she asked excitedly and the babysitter nodded. "Let's go then!"

Sarah gave Erica a look and the latter understood that this was the start of the plan. After Sarah took Jane out for their walk, she took Ethan's keys that were on the table and went out as well, as she quickly sent a text.

As Rory was waiting outside Benny's house, he received the text from Erica telling him it was time to bring Benny to Ethan's place. He texted Benny to come out, excited that they were finally putting their plan into action. After a few minutes, Benny opened the door.

"What do you want, Rory?" he asked, clearly not in the mood for the blond vampire's antics.

"I have to show you something, just come with me!"

Before Benny could reply to this, Rory took him and ran, using his vampire speed. In no time, they were outside Ethan's house. Erica was standing in front of the door. Benny turned to Rory in confusion.

"What's the meaning of this?" he asked his friend, not understanding the situation at all. Erica rolled her eyes for the second time in that evening.

"Just shut up and get inside!" She opened the door and quickly locked it after Rory pushed Benny inside.

The Spellmaster was in shock for a moment, but he shook it off and tried to open the door, before realizing it was locked and he had no key.

"This isn't funny, guys, let me out!" he shouted as he punched the door.

"Maybe you'll work things out now!"

What Erica said made Benny realize what was happening. They were trying to get him to talk to Ethan. Out of all the things they could have thought of, they had decided to lock them together just to make them talk. Benny looked around for a key to unlock the door. Obviously, there was no key. It couldn't have been so easy, could it? He sighed and tried to accept the fact that the only solution was to talk to Ethan about their awkward situation. About the vision, about his feelings, about everything.

"Stupid vampires, damn it!" he shouted as he gave one last punch at the door, knowing it would have no effect.

"What's going on?" Benny froze when he heard Ethan's voice, as the latter came downstairs. Ethan was shocked to see his best friend. He thought he had heard him, but he assumed it was his imagination. "Benny? What...what are you doing here?" he struggled to ask.

"Rory and Erica locked us inside! Apparently, they want us to 'work things out'!" Benny shouted once again in frustration. He had no idea what to say to Ethan without making it even more awkward.

"Where are Sarah and Jane?" Ethan managed to ask, still shocked about the whole situation.

"They probably had a part in this too! Well, at least Sarah."

The two finally looked each other in the eyes for the first time in a while. Both of them wanted to talk so badly, they wanted to tell each other what they really felt. But, if they did that, the situation would only get worse, that's what both of them thought.

From what Ethan had understood, Benny knew what his vision had been about and he knew at least partially about his feelings. And he had made it clear that he wasn't interested in him romantically. Why else would he insist that things stay the way they were?

On the other hand, Benny understood that he had kissed Ethan in the vision. An unwanted kiss, obviously. Why else would Ethan hide what he had seen from him? Why else would he be so embarrassed by it?

"Where's my key?" Ethan asked, not looking at his best friend, as he was still trying to find a way out of this.

"They definitely took it." Benny answered, having given up on trying to escape. He was looking away from Ethan as well.

"Can't you use a spell or something to get us out?"

"I don't remember any spells right now!"

The two shared another look, then quickly turned away.

"This is going to be really awkward." Benny finally said out loud. Ethan couldn't do anything but nod.

A/N: So this was the long-awaited 9th chapter. I hope it did not disappoint. It was the first chapter fully in 3rd person and probably the only one. From the next chapter, it will return to Ethan and Benny's POV. I promise that the next update will come this week. I really hope that some of the original readers of this story are still interested in it. Once again, I'm sorry for the incredibly long wait.
