I've decided that I can come up with the strangest oneshot ideas late at night or early in the morning. For some reason, at 1:00 in the morning I got to thinking of the Sly 2 Rajan ball final heist, when they blow up a bridge. It got me thinking of what would happen if this scenario folded out. So, this is based off that but I couldn't use the heist since well…I'd all just be screwed up. So, please read and review and let me know what you think of a random 1:00 am thought. (: And I know it' short…but it's…just short.

It Doesn't Take a Genius to Blow up a Bridge

"Sly, Sly, can you read me?" I asked into my earpiece. I was jumpy and on edge on this late evening. We were almost finished with a heist and all we had left to do was blow up a bridge, an easy task for someone with my brainpower. It would be simple, after Sly had made his way back from the other side of the Italian bridge, we'd be in the clear.

"I hear you Bentley," He huffed over our communicator. The all too familiar sound of Carmelita's voice and her shock pistol firing could be heard in the background, "Do you have the charges set?"

"I do," I said proudly, "All you have to do is get across that bridge and 'BOOM!' we're in the clear!" I was excited for this heist. It was so simple to get done it was like child's play. Even if Inspector Fox was hot on Sly's tail, there would be no way she could get over to our side once the bridge was obliterated. The side we were on, was basically an island away and the only way over was the bridge. With Carmelita stuck on the mainland, all we would have to do was get in the can and drive off into the sunset.

"That's nice Bentley. And you're sure this is flawless? I don't want to get arrested tonight." I laughed on the embankment I was standing on.

"It's foolproof! Even the simplest of thieves could complete this!" this plan was flawless. I had the chargers set to a trigger that I held in my hand.

"Alright Bentley," Sly said after a minute, "I'm almost there. Get ready to blow the bridge!" I held the trigger under my thumb and all I had to do was wait for Sly to get across the bridge.

"Freeze, Cooper!" Carmelita's voice rang out from the other side of the island along with a few zaps and the fading away of blue shock volts. Police sirens followed in suit and the flashing blue and red lights bounced off surrounding buildings. Sly came bolting across the bridge a moment later and the police were still far behind him.

"Alright Bentley, blow it up!" he shouted after he was safe on the other side of the bridge. I pressed the button on the trigger and I smiled when the charges started going off one by one. They started on the far side of the bridge, quickly making their way to our side. The charges blew and a wave a heat came up along with oranges and red from the combustion. And angered Inspector Fox stood on the other side of the bridge, wildly waving her paws in the air and shouting random things in Spanish. I gave a triumphant smile and felt proud of myself. My plan had gone smoothly and no one had injured themselves.

"Nice job Bentley." Sly said after he had regained control of his breathing. He looked around a minute before turning around to face me, "Bentley…"

"Uh-huh?" I was still in my triumphant stage and there was nothing that could bring me down.

"Did you, uh, did you happen to tell Murray to move the van to this side of the island before you blew up the bridge?" Even though I was still smiling, my eyes went wide as I realized I had made a big mistake. My smile slowly faded before I mentally slapped myself.

"…Darn it!" I yelled out before dropping to my knees.
