Tara had been a fan of Fullmetal Alchemist for all of her life. She was madly in love with the anime. So obsessed with the show in fact that some considered it unhealthy. Her whole world revolved around the Elric brothers adventures. So, imagine her surprise when she found a way to cross the gate and go to Amestris.

When she passed through the gate she landed in the vast landscape of Resembool. She immediately recognized the area and a huge grin spread across her face.

"I'm here!" she cried, jumping for joy. She walked around for a bit, getting a feel for the area. Eventually, she came across a familiar yellow house. Outside, there were two figures.

Tara squealed to herself. It was them! Edward and Alphonse Elric, they were sparring outside the Rockbell's house. It was really them! She was finally going to meet them.

Being a proud member of the Resembool Rangers, Tara targeted the older Elric first. She snuck up on them until she was within range. Then she leaped out to glomp Edward.

Ed screamed, "AHHHHH!"

"Ni-san!" Al gasped.

Hugging him tight around the waist, Tara nearly shrieked, "It's you! I'm Tara, you're biggest fan! OMG, I love you!"

Tara looked up into the face she had idolized all her life. His golden eyes. His face framed by a lighter gold mane of hair. That adorable frown he always wears. His mouth opened and Tara knew that he was about to go into a rant. But what happened next she did not expect.

Oh, Ed began yelling at her alright. But he was yelling at her in Japanese. Tara being an average American girl, she couldn't understand a word of it.

Tara jumped up and walked away, shaking her head, "It figures."

Thus, her disappointment was so great, she traveled back through the gate to her own world.

…It only took her one day to get over her anger and go back to Amestris. Japanese be damned! She would have her Edward!
