Dr. Steve has walking down a down a deserted hallway, doing paperwork while walking. Having to make sure a school full of female spies doesn't find out the truth about Blackthorn's assassins was hard work. So caught up thinking of ways to keep that Goode kid from getting too close to the Headmistresses daughter, he didn't notice the other figure in the hall.
"Hello Steve."
"Oh shit," the he cursed under his breath. Turning around he saw the one woman he had been avoiding all semester.
"Hello Madame Dabney."
She glared at him; probably the angriest anybody had ever seen her. Dr. Steve found it rather endearing. Until she started yelling of course.
"YOU LITTLE BASTARD, HOW COULD YOU LEAVE ME FOR THAT STUPID BELLYDANCER! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT I WENT THROUGH BECAUSE OF THAT! I CAN'T BELIEVE I EVER THOUGHT I LOVED YOU, YOU ARE THE MOST IMMATURE, UNGRATEFUL, SON OF A BIT-"
"That's not what you said in France," Dr. Steve's smug voice came out, cutting her off. He may not be as young as he used to, but every good boy from Blackthorne knows how to keep a good cover.
She shrieked in rage, and looked like the etiquette teacher had a bit more to say. But he cut her off by dropping his load of paperwork and swiftly by putting his lips to hers.
Dr. Steve missed the feeling of his lips on hers. The belly dancer, Helen, just didn't have the same spark. But he knew what was best for her safety. And that meant staying far away from Madame Dabney at the time. It wasn't fun being an assassin
He pulled his face away, but kept his arms around her. She seemed to be happy for a second, putting her hand on her mouth and smiling a bit. Then that happiness turned to shock as she realized what happened. She quickly slipped out of his embrace, turned around, and fled the hallway.
"Excellent," Dr. Steve whispered as he watched the love of his life run away from him.
Then he continued in the opposite direction.
Hehe. See, I accidentally deleted the story, and since I rather liked it, I put it back. Tada!
