"How come a train?"

Daggeron turned around from the book shelf to look at Chip. Chip was sitting backward in one of his chair with a book in his hands.

"Aren't you supposed to be studying?"

"I am! I just had a thought."

He chuckled softly. Chip was remarkable intelligent but sometimes, his attention just wasn't there. It did make for some very interesting conversations.

"What is the thought?"

"Why a train?"

He didn't quite get what Chip was talking about. His expression must have told him something because Chip started waving his hands around.

"Why is your zord a train? I mean…everyone else's zords had mythology theme to it expect yours."

He smiled slightly. Chip had a good point.

"I wasn't always a proper knight."

"Did you turn Undonna's hair green or something?"

He laughed.

"No…No…I had a bad habit of being curious…"

He could hear it from miles away. The sound of metal against metal…it kept making this loud noise. It reminded him of a dragon's roar. He was almost afraid to approach it. He shouldn't be here. He would get into trouble. His teachers would punish him for this. But he couldn't help himself. He wanted to see what it was. He scrambled out of the wood line. His mouth nearly dropped in shock. It was nothing like he seen in his life. H heard stories about metal monsters in the other world. He just couldn't believe it until now.

It left him in awe.

He watched the metal monster approach him with its bellowing steam rising from its top. He should move out of the way but he couldn't. It was horrifying with it strange appearance but oddly appealing even beautiful.

Then it quickly bolted passed him.

He watched the metal monster disappear into smoke that it left behind.

He stood there for quite awhile. Long after it disappeared.

"So, that was the first time that you saw a train, huh?"

"Yes."

Chip gave him a curious look.

"How many times did you sneak out to see it?"

He almost laughed. Sometimes, it is amazed him on how observe he was.

"Quite a few times…enough to get caught. You see…It was forbidden to go into the other world. At first, it was due to fear…later, we didn't want the war to spill into it."

Chip nodded.

"So, how did you get the train?"

"Jenji."

"You made a wish?"

"No."

"We built it together."

Chip laughed.

"You built most of it and Jenji helped a little."

He laughed.

"That sounds about right."

"So…this is it? It looks kind of…old," Jenji said.

He smiled slightly as he ran his hand along the old train. Jenji was right. It was old and rusty but he could still see its beauty.

"It will take a lot of work," He agreed.

"You know that you could get a new one."

He shook his head.

"The other world would have known if I have stolen it."

"Everyone thinks that this is a waste of time."

"Possible. But I need a zord to aid the others, Jenji. This is my choice."

He didn't say out loud his fantasy as well.

Jenji grumbled softly.

"I am going to have to get dirty, aren't?"

He smiled slightly.

"Possible."

"Sometimes, I hate you."

Chip laughed.

"How long did it take?"

"Not as long as I thought. There were setbacks, of course. Magic doesn't always work with technology."

He watched Chip's face become thoughtful. He thought for a moment that he was finished with the conversation.

"Teach?"

"Yes?"

"Thank you for telling me."

He was slightly confused.

"It wasn't a problem, Chip."

Chip just stared at him with a strange expression on his face. He nodded his head and went back to reading.

Why did he have the feeling that he was missing something important?
