When she saw him again, Lisanna was glad that it was raining because nobody could see her cry. All the emotions, frustration and raw feelings boiled and it took all her strength not to sob in happiness and relief.

This was the Earthland Natsu, her Natsu, who was loud and bold and could make her laugh effortlessly.

When he first came to the guild, she was the first to talk to him. They were the same age, and stuck together like glue. Those days were different to now, but she still treasured Natsu as a friend, her best friend. They hatched Happy's egg together, they trained together, they did everything together.

Being in Edolas tore her apart because she adored Edo Natsu, but he was too painful a reminder. Because she knew that Natsu would be moving on, she saw Lucy Ashley and knew instinctively that times were changing, leaving her behind. Even when she had returned and they were out in the rain, Earthland Lucy was wearing his cloak and Lisanna knew that the girl was special.

She doesn't hate Lucy. She likes the girl, even if she is beautiful and smart and uncomfortably close with Natsu. Lisanna isn't worried about the pair because she has Mirajane as a sister, and she has been trained to spot love from a mile away. She isn't worried about whether or not the two feel for each other because she knows they do.

Strangely enough, she's okay with it.

Natsu always has and always will hold a place in her heart. The years in another dimension changed Fairy Tail, and they changed Lisanna. She'll never forget the blissful days of their youth, always cherish their happy memories. As a child, she had been fixed on becoming Natsu's bride.

Nowadays, she can't even imagine that.

Maybe she and Natsu could have been special. Maybe they could have married. But surely everyone had more than one true love? Lisanna reckons that everybody had a handful or so of true loves scattered around the world, they are just rare to find. Perhaps Natsu was one of hers, maybe there are others, or maybe he never had been. It's possible that, even without Lucy and Edolas, they would have never been.

Natsu will always hold a special place in her heart, she is certain of that. But there's another place, a more delicate and passionate place; that place is reserved for another, even if they never come.

Lucy will hold a special place in Natsu's heart, Lisanna is sure of it. Today the two girls sit together at the bar, laughing and chatting about life. Lisanna knows why one would love Lucy- her large brown eyes, her radiant smile, her everything seems to emit an aura of purity.

Today, coincidentally, they are talking about Natsu who apparently invited himself into Lucy's apartment- again.

Then Natsu appears and Lucy leaves on a mission with him. The pair wave as they depart, and the platinum blonde returns it. Even when they have been gone for half an hour, his toothy grin lingers and fixes her own face into one.

What Lisanna and Natsu have between them is purely platonic, and she's fine with that.
