04 - Enough

He's got a soft spot for you, and you both know it.

It's evident in the way he plays with the end of your long braid during the jounin meetings, clearly not paying attention, or how he lets you fuss over him after he returns from a mission all bloody and bruised.

You wonder (hope) sometimes if it's something deeper than years of friendship that makes him act this way, but you never try to push the issue. It's enough to know that you're the first person he will look for when he enters a room.

For now, at least.
