Don't ask. This idea just kinda…hit me randomly and I had to write it down. If you like Merlin, Monty Python or both, chances are you may or may not find this somewhat amusing.

I don't own Merlin, or the original 'Brave Sir Robin', but I guess I do kinda own the spoof lyrics…um…

"Yah!"

A yelp escaped the manservant as he sprung backwards out of the armory, straight into Sir Leon and Sir Gwaine. The knights neatly caught Merlin by his elbows before he fell and pushed him to his feet. "You alright, Merlin?" Gwaine asked with a grin.

"Yeah, fine," he replied, though sounded slightly dazed. Leon arched an eyebrow.

"You sure? You sound a little spooked to me."

"Yeah. It's just…" he paused, pursing his lips and glancing at the armory door, a look of embarrassment on his face. "There's a massive spider in there…"

"A spider?" Leon chuckled and shook his head. "I'll go sort it out for you," he said, stepping forward. Merlin opened his mouth to protest and stop Leon, but was cut off by Gwaine bursting into song.

"Bravely bold Sir Leon, marched to the armory

He was not afraid of spiders

Oh brave Sir Leon!

He would never quake or beg, when faced with lots of legs

Brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Leon.

"He was not in the least bit scared

Of hairy creepy-crawlies

Dangling on invisible threads, just about his nose

To have those many legs, scurrying underneath his shirt

And those fangs in his flesh

Brave Sir Leon.

"Eyeballs popping

And skin going blue

And hair coming out

And legs falling off

And purple spots

And an itchy rash

And then-"

"Gwaine! That's enough," Leon said, frowning. He fixated Gwaine with a glare, ignoring the sniggering Merlin, and walked into the armory. Not ten seconds later he burst through the doors, eyes wide. "Blimey, that is a monster of a spider you got in there!"

"I told you so," Merlin said smugly then Gwaine began singing again.

"Brave Sir Leon ran away.

Bravely ran away, away."

"I did not!" Leon cried in protest.

"When the Spider showed its ugly head,

He bravely turned his tail and fled."

"Shut up!"

"Yes, brave Sir Leon turned about

And gallantly he chickened out.

Bravely taking to his feet, He beat a very brave retreat.

Bravest of the braaaave, Sir Leon!"

"Gwaine! Shut up or I'll make you!"

Leon was ignored, unfortunately, and could only glare as Gwaine and Merlin fell about laughing. That is until a long, hairy, black leg crept out of the armory's door, which had been left slightly ajar. Merlin froze. Leon stepped backwards. Gwaine screamed and bolted down the corridor, cursing his arachnophobia.

"Brave sir Gwaine-y ran away…" Leon sang to himself, smirking as he and Merlin ran after him.

Yeah, again…don't ask. :S Well, hope you enjoyed it, tell me what you think. I think all of the words fit…kind of. I've been singing them to myself against the original a few times now, so I'm hoping they do.

Review please!
