"Oi, stop squirming!"
"OH MY GOD, GET OFF, I SERIOUSLY AM GOING TO SCREAM—"
Nnoitra pressed a hand to her mouth to try and stem the flow of curses and spit-fire that characterized Neliel's anger as she literally kicked and screamed.
If Nnoitra had been a douche, he would have dropped her.
Except that, you know, Nnoitra was a douche.
And so he did drop her, but only enough to make her scream some more and cling because Nnoitra was tall and being dropped from that kind of height was actually going to hurt—and Nel was not the kind of girl who liked getting hurt.
"Y'still want me t'drop ya?" he snickered.
Nel grumbled mutinously in reply, ocean-hair a mess of waves across her face. She didn't seem very pleased, but she only kicked him in the head once (though how she managed it—half-slung over his shoulder as she was—was anyone's guess).
It was pretty much a record.
Nnoitra actually might have smirked.
"C'mon. We're gonna go skatin'."
"No," Nel said. "Put me down, you great lug!"
"No," he parroted.
Nel grit her teeth. "I will hurt you."
"Y'always say that."
"I ALWAYS END UP HURTING YOU, TOO, UHG, GET OFF GETOFFGETOFFFFFF—!"
Nnoitra paid her raving absolutely no mind (that was the thing about Nel; he'd learned that you sort of had to ignore the psycho bitch when she hit one of her strides). Instead, he hoisted her up, half-around and hands on her thighs, palms warm and it was flesh against flesh, heated and warm and very wrong.
(No one said anything. People ought to have been used to things like this by now—both Nnoitra and Nel were, and they pretty much hated each other.)
"Oi, stop screamin', yer hurtin' m' ears."
Nel turned vermillion and kicked at him again. It clashed magnificently with her hair.
"Jesus, yer gonna kill me—"
"I HATE YOU—"
He tossed her in a snowdrift for good measure.
Nel screamed incoherently, and tried to push him in front of a passing bus.
Nnoitra didn't seem to mind.
