I do not own harry potter!
She stormed down the corridor, her waist length red curls flowing around her. She heard somebody running after her, her named being called.
"Evans!"
She ignored it. She didn't want to talk to him. James Potter. The one person who could make her blood boil the way it did at the moment.
"Evans, wait!"
But she kept going, kept thinking back to the scene she had walked in on. Potter kissing Darcy Pennington of all people. Everybody knew that Darcy hated her, because she had the attention of James Potter, and had since first year.
The footsteps were closer now, and she could hear him panting. "Evans!" He grabbed her hand and spun her round. "Evans, I'm sorry."
She lost it. "You're sorry? For what? Kissing her when you knew I liked you? After what happened the other night?"
"I'm sorry. We haven't spoken, you keep avoiding me. And she just came out of nowhere!" She scoffed and turned away but he grabbed her again, this time pinning her against the wall.
"Lily, please. I am so sorry. I promise, she means nothing to me. I've loved you since first year, since I ran into you at Kings Cross that first time. Lily, I love you. Please. Please. Believe me."
Oh, how she wanted to hate him. But those eyes. Those chocolate eyes that she had been dreaming of since the beginning of seventh year. And it was then, at that precise moment, that Lily Evans realised that she had fallen completely in love with James Potter.
"James..."
In that instant he knew she had forgiven him. He crashed his lips on to hers and she kissed him back just as fiercely. After what seemed like forever, they pulled apart to breathe, and James pulled Lily in to his arms and held her tight, where she rested her head on his chest, just over his heart.
"I love you too."
