Words, they can mean so much more than force. Whether the emotion is sadness, anger, or joy, words impact the fragile minds of those to whom one is speaking.

Three simple, little words. That's all he had to say. Silent little gestures, waiting, waiting in silence for the right time was all he had been doing through every day since about four years ago. Every time he saw him, it was nothing but fear. Would he reject him? Or would he embrace the feelings, no concern for what society deemed "normal"?

It was true; his feelings were not those of one who fits in with society. But he did not care, as he only thought of the words he would say. False smiles always appeared on his face as he spoke to him, but inside he was afraid as a child in darkness. Why, at night, he would believe he would reject him; the poor boy had no idea. All he knew was that the words must be spoken soon, better than later, when the possibility of the one he truly loved would be snatched up by a lying, atrocious girl existed.

He stood there and merely observed him go about his work; the way he elegantly flipped his bangs out of his face, momentarily flashing his right cerulean eye, his gorgeous smile as he greeted customers, the way he arched his back as he carried dishes out of the kitchen…the symbol of beauty, he decided.

Too bad the one he loved was his brother.

Chili never told a soul that he had a crush on Cress, not even Cilan. He let it stay inside him, growing every day. Whenever Chili looked into Cress's eyes, his utter fascination with his brother grew even larger, like a rose. Gentle silence, that's all he wanted, just a few seconds that would normally pass by without any concern but ones that he could make memorable for his brother. He would say it full, with no concerns; not a whisper that would have been better left unspoken if it was drowned out by the shouts and protests of those considered normal.

This was it; the moment Chili had been waiting for for years. Cress was alone, standing against a wall and playing with his phone.

Chili took a deep breath. This was one of the hardest things he had ever done in his life. Slowly, but surely, he made his way over to Cress. "Uh…Cress? Can I talk to you, in private?"

"Sure…" Cress mumbled. He seemed…off today, Chili thought.

Maybethiswasabadidea, he thought as they walked behind a wall where the fangirls couldn't hear them. ButIhavetodothis.

"C-Cress…I know you're my brother and that I've told you everything, but…" Chili said quietly. "But I…I-"

The next thing shocked Chili utterly; Cress hugged him. With full passion, there needed no words. That single gesture told him how Cress truly felt; they both didn't care if they were outcast. The words left unspoken between them made them realize, they had each other, and that was enough for the both of them.
