"Daddy! Pa! Wake up!"

Blaine groaned as he felt an abrupt weight on his legs, burying his head a little further in the crook of his husband's neck. "Daddy needs his sleep, sweetheart."

"Pa too," Mike mumbled, tightening his grip around Blaine.

"I want pancakes!" Sarah declared, her tiny little hand shaking Blaine's shoulder. Sarah was their little seven year-old angel they adopted when she wasn't even born. The biological parents were teenagers, too young to raise a kid when they weren't even adults themselves. Sarah was a real blessing in their lives. But right now, she was more like the devil's spawn to Blaine. It was Sunday, he worked all week and he just wanted to sleep in but like clockwork, Sarah sneaked into their room every morning to wake them and demand breakfast. He and Mike had gotten home late last night, it was their first night out in a long time-they had hired a nanny especially for the occasion-and it had ended in a really quiet but still passionate session of love making. Needless to say, Blaine was exhausted, and if the alarm clock on his nightstand was to be trusted, it was barely 6 a.m. He loved Sarah to death, but he loved his sleeping time too.

"Michael, I don't know how to make pancakes," Blaine said loud enough for Sarah to hear so that she would harass Mike instead.

"Liar," Mike countered, rolling on his back and blocking out the light Sarah had switched on with his forearm. "I saw you make her pancakes last week."

"Daaaddy," Sarah started whining, shaking Blaine a little more forcefully now. Damn it, she really was determined on having him to be her servant today. Groaning once again, he forced himself out of bed, glaring at his smirking husband.

"You owe me!" He told Mike before going into the bathroom to freshen up, feeling a little chill as the cool air in their room met his bare torso. He already missed the warmth of their bed. He loved cuddling with Mike, his husband's body was a real furnace. Sarah followed him everywhere, talking excitedly about what she wanted with her pancakes and what she wanted to do for the day.

As he saw his sweet little girl eating with gusto, her face bright with happiness, Blaine forgot his short night and his sleepiness. He could always have an afternoon nap, just like Sarah. Naps rocked. Mike joined them soon after, lacing his arms around Blaine's waist from behind and planting a kiss on his neck. He enjoyed the heat radiating from Mike, turning his head up to meet his husband's lips in a quick peck, ignoring Sarah's snarky comments about them kissing.

So yeah, being a parent could be tiring and demanding at times but Blaine didn't regret a single thing about his life. He had married his soul mate and they had a beautiful daughter that made them spend unforgettable Sunday mornings with pancakes and cartoons.
