A sad smile crossed Sam's face as he walked through the cemetery. In his hands were a bouquet of roses and a single picture. He passed through the familiar graves until he arrived at his desired destination.
The tombstone was made of white marble, and it had a large picture embedded into the stone above the name. Luna Iris smiled widely at him from the picture, holding a bear he'd given her for her birthday the year before she'd died. Her platinum blonde hair had been pulled into a messy ponytail and she was soaking wet. They'd just finished dancing in a storm, one of the last they'd been able to share, and her mother had snapped the picture on a whim.
"Hey Luna," he murmured softly, dropping onto the ground before the stone. He placed the roses and picture on the edge of the marble the main stone sat upon. "I danced during the last storm. I'm a little rusty, but I know the steps by heart, just like you taught them."
A small, bittersweet smile came across his face. "I haven't been able to dance in a while. I met some new friends who didn't know about you, but they understand now. I'm free to dance in every storm. Just like I promised," his voice was soft, sadness melding with determination as he made his vow.
"I'll see you next year, Luna. It was nice to talk to you again. Happy Birthday," Sam stood then and brushed off his pants. He bent down and brushed a finger over the picture, a fond look finally settling on his face as he walked back to where Bumblebee waited.
Later that night, Bumblebee's holo walked back to the grave where Sam had come earlier that day. He crouched down to look at the photo Sam had left behind.
Two children danced in a light rainstorm. One had pale hair and skin. She moved with grace through steps Bumblebee could almost see in his processor. The other was tanner and had brown, curly hair. He moved a bit clumsier, but still held a grace that awed the Cybertronian. Underneath the actual picture, in the white area of the old photo, was a small message.

"Dancing in the rain is one of the simple pleasures that we must enjoy while we can. You never know when you won't be able to anymore."-Luna, 12
