AN: I have this thing about Latin. I love it. And poetry. So a few years ago I wrote a poem that mixed my bilingual-ness and my love of books.

L'Chaim is Hebrew for, 'To Life!'

And this is my poem. It's even up on Inkpop.

The Latin translations are right underneath the words, just letting you know.

L'Chaim!

Ed: Thanks, Plug!

L'Chaim

Raise your glasses.

For any perilous end

Of courage

Of friendship

Of light

Of love

Of hope.

And of soul.

Ab Initio

From the beginning.

L'Chaim!

For the next chapter has only just begun.

To stand up when others sit down.

To say yes when others are silent.

To embrace the truth.

To face the consequences of one's actions.

To make a difference.

To ensure a better future.

Audeamus.

Let us dare.

L'Chaim!

Are you?

Are you ready?

The last encounter.

The final battle.

The flight of death

A journey unspoken.

A battle to finish.

Oh, what an end!

Tempora Heroica

A heroic age.

L'Chaim!

A Hero is what you will become.

To never stand back.

The perils that you will face.

The leader of the Resistance is who you are.

Join in the fight.

For it must end.

For freedom it shall be.

Dona Nobis Pacem.

Give us peace.

L'Chaim!

Now who will die?

Who shall triumph?

Corpses will be buried.

Tears will be shed.

Neither can live while the other survives.

But who?

Another death is counted.

Cave.

Beware.

Fallen at the blade of the other.

Causa Mortis.

Cause of death.

L'Chaim!

So come.

Gaudeamus Hodie

Let us rejoice today.

Do not despair.

Go read the story.

Experience the wonders.

Tell your comrades of this tale.

Take part of the journey.

For it has only just started.

Become a part of the adventure.

Adsum

I am here.

L'Chaim!

So in the end of the tale.

Raise your glasses high,

Seize the day.

Let light be made.

The magic still survives.

Ab Aeterno

From the eternal.

As long as you still believe.

The story may never end.

For more will unfold on another day.

So once again, raise your glasses till the end.

Never forget.

For we shall say.

L'Chaim!
