Let Me Introduce Myself to Y'all
The day was still sunny, but the chill of the coming night was making its presence known. Dhi silently skipped up the road, earbuds firmly placed in her ears, a smile on her face, her vision somewhere far off. She was finally going to showcase her skills in public for the first time, but damn, she was a little nervous. Of course that didn't put a dent in her smile. Coming to a stop, she finally looked up to check the traffic light. Not wanting to get hit was a healthy fear, one that finally made her focus on her surroundings. She was almost there even if she looked out of place. She looked across the road where she saw kids, around her age, walking in the same direction she was about to take in...hmm...'those look like clubbing outfits'... and that only reinforced her decision.
Dhi quickly crossed the road and ran to catch up. It was almost time for the dance off to start and she wasn't going to miss that, rookie or not. Following the teenage kids ahead of her, she was led to the back of the mexican restaurant that she always passed on her way from school. As she climbed up the stairs she could feel her the heavy thump of the bass, getting louder with every step she took closer to the roof. If her smile got any wider she was going too need stitches. The door ahead of her opened to the roof, the sky overhead suddenly much darker, and then there were people, everywhere, from everywhere staring up at one point. She followed their eyesight and her eyes widened with mirth. "Oh My Gosh...I'm here...I'm really here". She quickly stumbled her way towards the small platform, her small size enabling her to squeeze through the throng of people but before she could make it to the front a hand grabbed her by her shoulder's and pulled.
"Hey, hey getch ur hands offa me", she snapped before pulling myself away and turning around. The angry scowl that crossed her face but a second ago fell before she launched herself at the 'stranger', bringing them into a hug.
"Oh darling, sorry for scaring you like that", said Triona as she hugged me right back. She giggled a bit before prying me off. "It has been a while girl, but I didn't forget you, ya know..lol."
"How can you forget me, It's only been a week, come on, stop kidding", Dhi replied with a smile. "So y'all ready, that includes you too Remi"
Remi and Triona were Dhi's good friends. She had met Remi in high school and had had a liitle crush on him. That ended as soon as Triona showed up. He had been all eyes for her and Dhi couldn't hold that against her friend. Now Triona and Dhi had actually hated each other at one point in time. This was due to their first and disastrous meet, and well to be honest...'don't tell Trina'...the Blonde had been such a bitch, but things changed with time...'even though she's a bitch sometimes'...but things do change. Now the one thing all three had in common with each other was that they had 'the love of dancing' and before she knew it they were scheduling practice time together; Remi and Trina more often if you know what I mean.
Next thing you know, we were brainstorming for a name for our little group and then we became 'Rev-it-up'. Such a weird name but don't tell Trina I said that and if you haven't figured out who I am, I will introduce myself. My name is Dhionna 'Dhi' Saga, and it is a pleasure to meet you.
