I miss Donna. Seriously, they need to bring her back and fix her head.
Oh well, here's the third installment of Forget-Me-Not.
You're dreaming again.
Or are you? You've never been one to know, and this dream seems awfully real.
There's water rushing everywhere. The sound of someone screaming echoes through the room, and you wince.
"You can stop now!" You look up and see a shadowed man standing on the balcony. You can't see his face. Not because of the poor lighting, but because the bloody scene changes.
Now you're standing on a roof, and you can see a large beam of light in front of you. There's a little white…thing waving at you. And even stranger, you wave back.
"I'm waving at fat." You hear yourself say. You try to turn to look at the man next to you, because you just know it's the same one as before, but the scene changes again.
"Just someone. Please. Not the whole town. Just save someone." The landscape has exploded. There's smoke everywhere and you can hear the pleas to help. The acrid smoke is filling your lungs, far to realistically for a dream, and the one next to you is silent.
VWORP VWORP VWORP
And suddenly, you can hear singing, soft and melancholic, yet loud and exuberant at the same moment. Something inside you sighs, and the only word you can think of, is
Brilliant. Bloody brilliant this is.
You hear a stomping-clapping noise. At first you, actual-you not dream-you, think it's part of the song, but after a minute it's becomes all too clear that this, isn't part of this wordless melody. In fact, there's words to this new beat.
"Sontar-ha! Sontar-ha! Sontar-ha! Sontar-ha!"
You are very, very, afraid now. Your gramps is sitting beside you, coughing, and you somehow know that it's because of that green smoke outside. You open your mouth, and the scene begins to change.
But not fast enough, because you manage to speak.
"Doctor!"
Your head is suddenly pounding as hundreds upon hundreds of images and thoughts appear suddenly.
A dying girl
A giant wasp
"Stay out of the shadows!"
"Molto bene?"
"No."
A beetle and a fortune teller.
BAD WOLF
And your world suddenly…stops. And for a brief moment, you can remember.
You're standing in the TARDIS.
Time And Relative Dimension In Space
Everything is on fire. The console. The stairs. Everything. The metallic screetches of EXTERMINATE ring through your memory.
And there is is. That mad, stupid hand that made you what you are now. A temp. You try to call out to stop yourself from touching it.
"The most important woman in the universe."
And that's when you realize that it was always going to be like this. Destiny, fate, you never liked the lottery because you knew you'd never win. But you won the time-and-space one and look where it got you. And now Donna Noble got her 15 minutes of universal fame.
So you shut your mouth and let events happen as they will. And now, just as you see the scene melt away, not to a new one, but to the end, you can hear the Doctor.
"I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry."
"We will sing for the Doctor-Donna."
You wake up, sitting up with a sudden gasp.
"Donna? Sweetheart?" Your mother looks at you concerned.
"Nothing." You mutter. But it's not nothing, even if you don't know. You aren't nothing, because you're Donna Noble, most important woman in the universe!
But you don't know it, because you're still asleep.
And he's still out there, still missing his partner in crime.
